About: I’ve had pets my whole life and love caring for them like they’re my babies. I also help watch my family and friends' pets when they’re out of town, so I’m used to giving animals lots of love and attention. You can trust that your pet will be safe, happy, and treated like family with me. I’m attending the university of the rio grande valley. However, I only attend on certain days and right now it’s summer so i’m free. I will make time. I will do my best to clean any mess the pets make and I am reliable to give them food and water and take on walks daily.

“Our 10 month shizu Sofie enjoyed her stay with Destiny. She did great with her. Was able to make her feel welcomed and loved. I liked that she would send us photos and videos of her daily. Will definitely use her again!!”

About: What sets me apart is the space and care I provide. I live on 2.5 acres, giving dogs plenty of room to safely explore, play, and burn off energy. As both a lifelong dog and horse lover, I’m comfortable caring for animals of all sizes and personalities. I understand that every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, energy level, and preferences to help them feel at home. I treat every dog like they’re part of the family, providing lots of attention, playtime, and affection while keeping owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. Whether your dog loves to run, relax, or just wants extra cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care in a safe, country setting. Pet care fits naturally into my daily schedule because I’m a stay-at-home mom to my toddler. Being home throughout the day allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, regular exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive lots of love and supervision in a calm, family-oriented environment. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, and I love incorporating them into our daily routine! In my home, pets have plenty of room to play and explore on our property while always being supervised. I provide a clean, alm environment with lots of attention, playtime, and affction so they feel like part of the family. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the home and the pet’s routine. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Victoria is awesome. She took in our puppy, sent pictures showing Chili was doing great. At pick up our dog smelled awesome, I think she was bathed and Victoria washed the blanket and bed also. That was great added bonus. Would leave Chili with her again.”

Their dog is super friendly and her children adored Levi! I would not hesitate to call them again if I needed to. ”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Donna
We had a great experience booking with April. Communication was great, she was very responsive, and constantly sending pics of Pancake. The environment was spacious, friendly, and the backyard yard allowed for her to have space she needed to run. Her Corgi was nice and playful. Our Pancake loved playing with her. We will be booking with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
