“Alison was amazing! She communicated well, sent so many pictures and was super consistent. I have a pesky cat in the bunch that doesn’t like other people and she wasn’t afraid to do what needed to be done. I can’t adequately explain how great it is to know your animals are taken care of while you’re away. Great peace of mind.”

“Justice has provided really good care for my dog and was very good in all her communications. She provided all the details of my dog with photos in a nice report daily, and left me worry-free during my hectic travel. Really appreciate having her nearby and will definitely reach out to her again if needed.”

About: I've care for pets my whole life, I have hands-on experience feeding them, playing walking them, providing companionship, and making sure they feel safe and confortable. While this will be my first experience as a pet caregiver, I'm responsible, patient, attentive, and genuinely love being around animals. I treat every pet with the same care and affection I would give my own. I am a musician and I currently work from home in my own projects so i have plenty of time to dedicate to my pets and my pet sitting. I take extra care in providinig my pets with a safe environment at home, I make sure they know this is their home and can feel at ease and happy. I undestand the importance of ensuring that pets feel confortable and safe.

“Sofia has been terrific as our drop-in sitter, coming to our house to hang with our dogs while we are at work or running errands. Always reliable and quick to respond and the dogs have a blast and jump for joy when she visits!”

About: I’ve owned and/or taken care of cats longer than I can remember. While I’ve never owned a dog myself, I’ve watched my friends and neighbors dogs often. Sometimes people bring their dogs into the office, and everyone knows that’s where you’ll find me. I can match the energy of your pets whether that’s doing loops around my yard, or giving half an hour of ear scratches while they snooze. Please tell me all about your pet, I’d love to know them personally! I work full time, week days from 9am-5pm, but am otherwise available! Weekends are flexible, and I’m also very willing to work after I come home from work, usually by 5:15 or so I have a fenced in back yard, and 3 pretty friendly cats at home. They’re extremely non-threatening and more likely to get scared and hide than anything. I am able to crate or separate pets as needed, I do have an extra room so if a separated stay is needed, it’s no issue. I also have a camera I can set up where needed to check in during the day while I am out. I do also have a basement, it’s not officially finished but I’ve turned it into a safe and comfy enough space that I trust my own kitties to have full access to. Any overnight visitors are more than welcome to have that whole space to be separated in, if owner is comfortable with it!
“Jessica is an excellent pet sitter, she was very lovely with our Bella 😸 ❤️ she took care of Bella very well 🤩 I will definitely call her again! She left us a nice handmade present!”

“This was my first time using Rover and leaving my dogs, Mocha and Matcha, home alone, so I was very anxious. I hired McKenna in advance, and she even did a couple of visits while we were still home to get to know them. When the actual trip started, I felt so guilty I almost cut it short—but McKenna reassured me with such kindness. She followed every instruction, came twice a day, fed, walked, and played with them, sent photo updates, and even stayed extra time to comfort them. Mocha doesn’t usually trust strangers, but she warmed up to McKenna quickly. Matcha loved her too! McKenna made the whole experience smooth and worry-free. I’ve already asked if she’s available again in July! So grateful and blessed to have found someone who truly treats my pups like her own.”

“Jiajia was so helpful and patient. One of my cats takes medication every 12 hours. I stress when I am not personally there to administer the medicine.... Until Jiajia. Communications were an open line and I felt relieved that my kitties were in good hands. I would absolutely recommend her service.”

Can’t wait to meet your fur baby

About: I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs since I was little, so animals have always been a huge part of my life. I currently have a loving 7-year-old Pit Bull, and being a pet parent has taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and giving pets the love and attention they deserve. I absolutely love animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that means going for walks, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company. My family and friends have always trusted me to care for their pets when they’re out of town, busy, or just need an extra hand. I’ve cared for dogs and cats with different personalities and needs, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I want every animal in my care to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and spoiled while their humans are away! My work schedule gives me the flexibility to incorporate pet sitting into my daily and weekly routine. I work throughout New Jersey, so I’m often able to adjust my schedule and make time to care for your pets when they need me. Whether it’s stopping by for a visit, feeding, playtime, or giving them some extra love and attention, I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and needs. My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care while making sure your pets feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away! When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. For dog walks, I’ll make sure your pup gets a safe, enjoyable walk with plenty of time to sniff, explore, and get some energy out. For check-ins, I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, fresh water, playtime, bathroom breaks, and any other needs your pet may have. I’ll also give them plenty of attention and affection so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
“Thank you so much, Olga, for taking amazing care of my cats. Olga stepped in to help during a last minute booking and was incredibly accommodating. She worked with my schedule and allowed me to submit additional bookings as needed.”

“Emily is amazing! She met my dog the day before his walk/feeding to help get acquainted with him and I showed her where all of his things are. Which I really appreciated. She texted me updates and confirmed details about the visit. She was so sweet and empathetic towards Mylo. I am thankful for her availability since my schedule is so busy. Overall 10/10. We are thankful to have her as our new dog walker :)”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Linden
Alison is truly a blessing. As a pet parent with two big dogs (120 lbs each ) I am really protective of them and want them to be around individuals who aren’t fearful of them. I’ve gotten nothing but great pics of cuddles and belly rubs; even my cats have come out for pets. Definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for pet care (:

Ellen was wonderful caring for my ten-year-old cat Taffy through drop-in visits while I was away. Taffy is ordinarily fearful of strangers, but took a liking to Ellen immediately. Ellen is also a pleasure to work with and I look forward to using her again in my future times away from home.
I’ve had a great experience with Taylor as my pet sitter! She is reliable and always takes great care of my cats. She sends plenty of updates and pictures, which gives me peace of mind while I’m away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Morgann has been absolutely amazing with our kittens! We could not recommend her more. She is punctual and trusting. She goes above and beyond with our cats. She sends updates and is always checking in, which has brought a lot of comfort. Our kittens genuinely look forward to her visits and they are visibly happy because of all that she does. She clearly loves animals and it shows in our cats! We left her with a huge list of instructions and sometimes with last minute things, but she has always handled everything with grace and such an accommodating spirit. She has been great and we will always choose to use her if she has the availability!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
