“Alison was amazing! She communicated well, sent so many pictures and was super consistent. I have a pesky cat in the bunch that doesn’t like other people and she wasn’t afraid to do what needed to be done. I can’t adequately explain how great it is to know your animals are taken care of while you’re away. Great peace of mind.”

About: My parents have a lot dogs and cats so I grow up with them. I start have my first dog at 15 years old and my first cat at 21 years old. I work full-time during the day, but I'm available for pet care before and after work. In the mornings, I can visit to feed your pets, refresh their water, clean litter boxes, and take dogs for a walk while the weather is cooler. I return after work, around 6:00 PM, for a second visit to feed your pets, clean the litter box if needed, and take dogs on another walk. Evening visits also provide a great opportunity for exercise, playtime, and companionship before the end of the day. I'll always do my best to follow your pet's regular schedule and provide consistent, reliable care while you're away. Hi! My name is Wei, and I've always loved spending time with animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, so I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away. I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, and pet sitting. During each visit, I can provide fresh food and water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, companionship, and lots of love and attention. I'm also happy to follow your pet's normal routine and any special instructions, including administering basic medications if needed. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of different ages and temperaments. Your pet's safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention during walks and mealtimes, especially for pets that tend to eat too quickly. If necessary, I'll split meals into smaller portions with a short break to help prevent choking or stomach discomfort. I also believe emotional well-being is important, so I always greet and leave pets calmly to help them feel secure and reduce separation anxiety. I work full-time, but I carefully schedule my bookings so every pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I communicate regularly with pet parents by sending updates and photos, so you'll always know how your furry family member is doing. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
About: Hi there! 😊 My name is Anahi and I have been a dedicated pet sitter for the past nine years. It all started when I got my first dog at the age of five 💕🐶 Growing up alongside my furry companion, I developed a deep love and understanding for animals, which eventually led me to become a trusted pet sitter in my community. At the age of 14, I took on the responsibility of caring for not only dogs but also cats, extending my services to family friends and neighbors. Whether it's walking them or giving them a refreshing bath, I take pride in ensuring that each and every pet under my care receives the love, attention, and proper care they deserve. Over the years, I have built strong bonds with the animals I look after, establishing a sense of trust and companionship that makes their time away from their owners as comfortable as possible. With my experience and passion for animals, I strive to create a safe and enjoyable environment for them, making their well-being my top priority. If you are looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter, I would be more than happy to extend my services to your furry friends. Feel free to reach out to me, and together, we can ensure that your pets receive the love and care they deserve while you are away!!!! I have the perfect combination of having a part-time job and a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate ample time to playing and caring for your pet. With my part-time job, I have a great deal of availability on weekdays and can easily accommodate your pet's needs. Whether it's providing companionship, taking them for walks, or even assisting with baths, I am committed to ensuring your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. Having a lot of free time gives me the opportunity to create a schedule that aligns perfectly with your pet's routine. When you choose me as your pet sitter, I will come to your home to provide the care and attention your pet deserves. This arrangement offers several benefits, as your pet can remain in their familiar surroundings, surrounded by their own toys, bed, and comforting scents. This helps to minimize any potential stress or anxiety that can occur when pets are taken out of their usual environment. During my pet sitting visits, I will ensure that your pet's daily routine is maintained as closely as possible.
“Alexis was wonderful with my dog and cat. She met them a week before. My dog instantly got along with her. Alexis has a very kind and caring aura to her that my pets picked up on and were comfortable with her right away. My husband and I will be reaching out to her for any future trips.”

“Joanne was AMAZING with our lil ones. “Jennifer was a fantastic dog walker & carer for our pup who stayed home while we went away. She was open to meeting with us prior, to form a bond with our anxious dog, who warmed up to her instantly! For once, we felt at ease travelling without Kobe. Jennifer also administered his medication everyday with no hiccups and stayed in contact with us daily, which made us feel very reassured. Not only would I recommend her services — we look forward to Jennifer watching Kobe again in the future. If I could give 10 stars I would! ??”

About: I previously worked as a veterinary technician, which gave me hands on experience caring for animals of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’m very comfortable handling both healthy pets and those that need extra attention or senior care. I’ve also had pets my entire life, so caring for animals is second nature to me. I’m patient, attentive, and able to quickly understand each pet’s unique needs, whether that’s exercise, medication support, or simply making them feel safe and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I have three cats and a pitbull at home. I’m flexible and already plan my days around feeding, cleaning, and care. I enjoy making time for walks, visits, and keeping pets comfortable and on schedule. In my home, I care for pets by maintaining a clean, safe, and calm environment, following feeding schedules, and giving consistent attention and affection. I have experience with cats and a pitbull, so I understand different temperaments and energy levels. In a client’s home, I respect their routines, follow all instructions closely, and make sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while their owners are away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Old Place. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
