About: I am an elementary school teacher with 16 years experience. Due to the long hours at my job, I was unable to have pets for many years. Over the last three years, we adopted a dog and a cat, and I renewed my love for animals. I was a nanny, babysitter, and pet sitter throughout high school and college. During the school year, I am available on weekends and some weekday evenings/overnights with advanced notice. My main living area is pet-proofed and gated to keep your pet safe. I have multiple crates if needed to provide a safe enclosure for dogs of all sizes. Our neighborhood has gravel walking paths, grassy areas, and plenty of room for walks. My own pets are a Labrador retriever age 2.5 named Cookie (spayed female) and an American shorthair cat named Mochi (neutered male). All vaccines are up to date for my animals and we use preventative flea and tick medications. I have taken classes locally in basic puppy care and have access to a vet on demand service.

I have experience working in boarding at a vet office, I do volunteer work at a horse farm, and I have pet sat many times. I have loved them all unconditionally for their entire lives (all of whom lived full, happy, healthy lives). I have a 3 year old German Shepherd mix, Carlie, and a 14 year old Chihuahua, Mimi. Carlie is a rescue who we found on the side of the road. She had major anxiety when we found her, but we were determined to help her feel comfortable and relaxed.
