“Heather is an excellent sitter who loves dogs. She watched our 2 babies and they seemed happy and well cared for. Heather sent pictures to us every day. It helped us to know our babies were doing well. This is our first experience with Heather, She will be our first choice in sitter when we look for somewhere to keep our pups when we are out of town.”
“Jamie was great! Arthur was immediately comfortable with her family. She sent lots of updates and pictures. Daisy was a great playmate, I can always tell Arthur has had a good time when he comes home exhausted. I will definitely be booking with Jamie in the future!”

“Sarah was very nice and her dog Charlie was very good with my dog, Lester! Lester loved walking multiple times a day with them and the one-on-one attention he got while we were away. Sarah was great with daily updates and sent loads of pictures of Lester’s day. I will definitely be booking with her again for our next trip!”

“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

“Desire watched my dog Jaxx at her house for 4 days and 3 nights. He had a great time with her and she made us feel very comfortable about leaving our dog with someone unfamiliar for the first time. She is a true animal lover who provided exceptional care for Jaxx. She sent us picture updates multiple times and always assured us everything was going well. We will definitely be going back to Desire in the future!”

“Tiffany immediately put us at ease. The attention she paid, not only to our needs, but the needs of our dog also. She kept us informed as to the activities she and Andy were doing, and sent numerous photos. He acted like he didn’t want to leave at the end of his stay.”
“Kayla was so communicative and took great care of our 9 year old dog. She sent pictures and kept us in the loop. We will be rebooking with her in the upcoming months! Thank you Kayla!”

“Brian was great with Toby! We booked a last minute stay for a day we couldn't get our pup into doggie day care. Brain accommodated a quick meet and greet, and everything went smoothly! He sent multiple pictures throughout the stay - which helps to calm an over protective pet mom. I love that he took Toby and his dog for a long walk - certainly helped to tire him out once he got home. Ozzie and Toby seemed to have got along great, and we would definitely use Brian's help again! ”

“Emily was terrific. She took care wonderful care of our dog, Millie, including, but not limited to dispensing medication for her needs, walking, playing and interfacing with her. I will definitely try and use her in the future to take care of our dog. She promptly responded to questions I had and kept me up to date with how Millie was doing.”

“Johanna and her family were great! She took great care of my foster dog Tia. She sent me pics and a video along with keeping me updated with multiple messages about how Tia was doing. I highly recommend!”

“Caitlin is great! I knew my girl would be in good hands during the meet and greet. She provided updates throughout the entire stay. I was completely at ease, not one worry. Reese loves her!”

“Heather and her family greeted our dogs with loving, open arms. They have a lovely home with a farm which allowed the dogs to be entertained from their playpen with chickens and ducks. Our dogs are completely happy with no problems while they were visiting Heather and Family. Heather is great at communication and gets back to you right away. We asked for pictures and Heather sent lots of pictures to comfort us knowing our girls were safe and well loved.”

About: Grew up with dogs in the family. A collie and a husky. Currently have a beagle that is 6 years old. Had her since she was 9 weeks old. We walk every day. Care is a high consideration on very cold days as well as hot and humid summer afternoons. I don't work during the summer months. Have time to care for a pet for someone or a family who needs help so they can plan a vacation or time away. Or for those who have a demanding time schedule. I only have one pet, dog, in the house. A fenced in yard and a wireframe crate that is 2 feet x 3 feet and about 2 - 2.5 feet high.
About: I love to ensure each pet is kept safe while they are away from home. I know how I want my own pets treated, so I make sure to do the same! We love to play, eat treats, and have fun over here! I’m available full time, I am a stay at home mother so I enjoy doing this in free time and have a pretty open schedule :) I prefer to have animals in my home because it is a lot easier for me to tend to them. Boarding them in my home is easiest for me as long as your animal is okay around children and another animal!

Heather and Evan are wonderful! This was the first time leaving my girl with anyone, and it was for a multiple day trip. Heather consistently and promptly provided updates throughout the trip which helped me actually be able to enjoy my vacation! I couldn’t be more thankful for them and will be using them again.

This was our second time booking with Sara & Tovia and we could not be happier with the care, attention and updates they provided. Our girl was so happy when she realized we were at their door at drop off which is always reassuring knowing she's in good hands. Cannot recommend them enough.

Nina did an amazing job watching my dog. She was responsible, attentive, and genuinely caring, and I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved spending time with her. I especially appreciated the photo updates—this was a huge plus and gave me total peace of mind. I would absolutely trust Nina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind dog sitter.

Samira is literally THE BEST!! She was so proactive in keeping me up to date on my doggie, and very flexible when I wanted to visit. We were in town for the holiday and I realized at the last minute that there was no way I could leave my baby in a kennel. Samira came to the rescue - she walked him every day and let me know how he was eating. Her dogs are so friendly and well-behaved: they got along like brothers! She’ll be our go to every time we’re in the area from now on.

We were very happy with Rosa and her family. From start to finish, they were very caring and sweet. Since it was our first experience, we loved it. Our pups were in the best hands. We highly recommend trusting Rosa, you won’t regret it. Thank you so much, Rosa and family! From Tina and Cooper 🐶🐶🫶🏻❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
