So Rocky got dog play time while we were away, which I'm sure took the sting out of being left home. Luckily, he was delighted to see us. But he sure didn't have than "you neglected me" look we've seen on our return other times. In fact, he's much happier overall since we've returned. We sure can't complain about that.
