“Cheryl was great and helped us out in a pinch, sent a bunch of pictures and updates to let us know how her visit with the pups was going. Would definitely book with her again 💕”

“Sally is wonderful! My husband and I were a little anxious about having someone new to us to and to him to look after. He is a big boy and gets very excited. Sally has been absolutely great with handling him. We have zero concern for with Sally being left with Jagger she takes him on walks and gives him just as much love as we do.”

“Shelby was wonderful. You can tell how much she loves doing this. I’m sure if our dogs could speak they would ask to see Shelby everyday. We would love have Shelby care for our pets again. Highly recommended.”

“Sydney took great care of our kitties while we were away! Our cats can be particular with their people, so it was great to hear the updates and see the photos of our cats and Sydney getting along. They were absolutely well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Our cats Benny and Charlie are usually very shy around strangers, but Natalie had a magical touch! She was incredibly patient, gentle, and took the time to make our fur babies feel safe. Coming home to happy, relaxed cats is the best feeling. They clearly love Natalie as they have been waiting and watching for her since our return home. Natalie is reliable, highly communicative, and incredibly conscientious. I felt 100% confident that our babies were in the best hands! We highly recommend her to any further baby parent.”

“Tina is always fantastic! She’s conscientious, kind, and my kitty loves her. She was kind enough to come on very short notice to take care of my sweet boy and I cannot thank her enough!”

“We were looking for someone to drop in on our cats for a few days and Becky popped up on the Rover app as a highly rated sitter. We are very grateful that we went with Becky as she was professional and communicative the whole step of the booking. For the drop and visit/ meet and greet, our cats instantly came out when getting to know Becky. She was easy-going and understood everything that we wanted her to look after when we were away. During the two drop and visits, Becky took several pictures, stayed more than enough time, and wrote in extensive synopsis of what she did over the drop ins. We cannot be more pleased with her services, and our cats are looking forward for the next upcoming reservation. We would highly recommend Becky to anybody!”

“Tracy was great with our pets, even the persnickety one who might have tried to eat her, haha. And she kept in touch with us well too. Always nice when we're away to see our pets, who are an important part of our family, are happy. Thank you Tracy! We will surely call on you again.”

“Kasandra was so kind to help me with a last minute drop in. Great visit Kasandra was very kind to my 4 legged child and very respectful to our home. Could not have asked for anything more!! We definitely would use her again. If you need a sitter… no need to look further Kasandra is great!”

“Hanna did an excellent job stopping by my house each day to care for my two cats while I was away on a trip. She fed them, cleaned and filled their water bowls, cleaned the litter boxes, disposed of the litter in the garbage can outside, and paid special attention to them each day ❤️. It was awesome that she sent me photos and videos of her petting and playing with them! And it let me know that they were in good hands while I was away. I can’t express my gratitude enough. Thank you, Hanna!”

“Amanda visited my cats 2x a day. They were well fed and played with. Would recommend to anyone looking for help with their cats while on vacation. She also went up and beyond by watering plants and bringing mail inside.”

“If I had more stars to give, I would. Just as we thought we hit the jackpot with our Charlie girl, we also hit the jackpot with Sarah. To be able to leave your pet, knowing they will be loved and cared for is the best feeling. Sarah did just that and more! Charlie was loved and played with a lot! Her food, water and litter box were tended to and the area was immaculate. I also appreciated that Sarah reached out with questions. She cares enough to ask the details and that’s important. Sarah is the kind of person you want to watch over your pet. She’s the best - hands-down.”

About: Whether they’re a couch potato or a ball of energy, I will match their energy! I have grown up with a zoo in my house with past experiences with ducks, goats, cats, dogs, parakeets, and even a hedgehog! We’ve always had big dogs in our house so I am very comfortable with larger breeds but I can work with pets of all sizes. I also have experience with working with senior and geriatric dogs including those with dementia. I am a graduate student which means I am often extra available during academic breaks when you might be on vacation! As a student, I have class and clinicals 2-4 days a week but will often have a pretty set schedule. It also means that I am usually extra available during academic breaks! I build trust and take things slowly with the animal so that I don’t stress them out. I can find ways or take suggestions on ways to get them to feel relaxed and safe with me. Your pets’ safety and health will be my number one priority.
About: I was raised around big dogs (labs and goldens) and have embraced the cat mom life in adulthood! I have cared for senior cats and dogs, as well as kittens and puppies, and am comfortable around any breed. I am able to administer meds (case by case) and give your cat or dog the attention he/she needs. I am available for walks and drop-ins on the weekends and occasionally during the weekdays over lunch. I have a consistent work schedule from 8-5 that does not vary and am rarely unavailable on the weekends. I strive to bring the most comfortable and trusting energy and experience to your home to care for your dog or kitty. I am comfortable with crating your dog, cleaning their paws, and any other special requests!

“Sydney did awesome with my kit-kat! My cat is normally pretty shy but she warmed up to Sydney really quickly. Great updates each day and lots of cute photos! I’ll definitely reach out to Sydney again next time I need a sitter 😊”

“Sydney did a super job with my two babies! They warmed up to her right away, which speaks volumes about her ability to immediately connect with my cats. She was prompt and stayed for the entire drop-in visit. Those are things that are important to me and that I truly appreciate. I will use her again and I definitely recommend her!”

About: I graduated with my associate in Veterinary technology in 2022. I have taken care of and worked with all breeds of dogs and cats. I’ll give all of them the same love as I give my own. I am currently working full time at FedEx. Depending on your animals schedules and your requirements I will feed them and walk them bright and early make sure they got all the early morning energy out before I’d need to head out to work. Will clean up any mess if any was made in the process. After work I will go straight to check on the animal and do the same as in the morning feed, walk and play. If your pet is taking medication I will make sure to give it the right amount and at the right time. If you don’t have a fenced in yard I will also make sure I leash them can never be too safe.
About: I'm most experienced with dogs and cats. That said, I am willing to look after any pet! I've always had dogs of my own, and I previously volunteered at a shelter which gave me added experience walking dogs of many breeds, ages, and temperaments. I am also familiar with giving medications (pills/capsules, eye ointments), crating, automatic feeders, and self-cleaning litter robots. I have a flexible schedule with plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve! I am able to accommodate both weekday and weekend requests at nearly any time-with exception of Tuesday mornings and Friday afternoons. Your pets, your home, your rules! The clearer instructions the better, and please be open to answer questions where needed. I promise to do my best in following your guidelines to protect your space and animals!
“I had a great experience with Chentel! She took wonderful care of my kitten Benny while I was away and kept me updated with photos and messages every day. It was clear that my kitten felt comfortable and well taken care of—something that gives so much peace of mind when you’re traveling. When I returned home, everything was tidy, my kitten was relaxed and happy, and it was obvious that Chentel been attentive to him. I highly recommend Chentel to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful pet sitter. Benny is looking forward to seeing her again. I've already booked her for Christmas!”

I couldn’t be happier with the care my cats received! Every day, they were fed, given fresh water, played with, and cared for during a full 30-minute visit. Tina also brought in my mail and watered my plants all week while I was away, which gave me complete peace of mind. It was clear my cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and I appreciated the updates and attention to detail. I came home to healthy, content cats and everything in perfect order. I highly recommend Tina to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and trustworthy. I will absolutely book again!

Sally is amazing! She went above & beyond while taking care of my kitties & I'd definitely book with her again! She even made a recommendation for a new toy that they really loved playing with... Thank you, Sally, for taking care of my fur babies as if they were your own!

While our cats were reluctant to show their faces while Cheryl made her twice-daily visits, the pictures and updates she sent during our time away put our minds at ease and let us know our fur-babies were in good hands. Will certainly be calling on her again next time we are away for an extended period. :)

Amanda has been so reliable and responsive! She always takes pictures of my pets and provides me with updates when needed. She schedules a meet and greet prior to doing drop-in visits, which is great, because it allows her to get to know the animals and where everything is before she does her visit. I appreciate how available and communicative she is!

Hana provided exceptional care for Pasha and Benny. From the initial consultation, it was evident that she is dedicated to providing the best care and enjoyed spending time with my cats while I was gone. She was incredibly communicative, sending daily updates and photos, which provided peace of mind. Upon return, the cats were happy and healthy. Hannah is professional, attentive to detail, and clearly has a special touch with cats. I would definitely recommend Hana to take of anyone's kitties.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
