About: I love all dogs regardless of how hyper or chilled out your pet is. As a student Athlete, I can completely match your dog's energy. I can ensure that you and your pet will look forward to booking with me again. I work in an office in midtown Manhattan from 9-5 Monday-Friday, besides that I'm generally available to give the rest of my evening to other things, considering I have no commitments for my internship outside the office. How I care for other pets completely depends on the animal I'm looking after. Making sure to reciprocate whatever the dog is showing is the priority in most cases.
“Angel did a tremendous job taking care of my new three month old English bulldog. English bulldogs typically require different needs than other breeds. Angel kept me updated throughout my vacation with pictures and videos to show how well Russell was doing. Russell seemed to have a great time With the rest of the group. And you have someone like Angel who cares greatly about her own animals you know that your pet is in great hands. Thanks Angel for a great job.”

“Sarah cared for our labradoodle and we would definitely recommend her! She communicated regularly, sent pictures and updates, ensured our pets were compatible before booking, and made us feel very comfortable that our girl was in great hands.”

“Jonathan and Dana took great care of our dog Otis. It's never easy to leave him when we go away, but knowing that he is with them puts my mind at ease. They love Otis like he is their own and you can't ask for much more than that! Otis adores them as well. I highly recommend them.”

“Simba stayed for 10 days. Mandeep and her family were very welcoming and took great care of our 15 months puppy. She also sent us pics and videos during the stay. Thanks Mandeep for taking care of him. Would definitely recommend.”

About: I've taken care or have owned dogs my entire life. Last August, we lost our best friend, Nala, too soon. She was a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) and at the age of 5 was impacted by a very rare auto-immune disease especially for her breed. This was a tragic loss for my family and I and at this moment owning/adopting another dog would be hard. We don't want to ever experience that kind of pain. Having said that, we have so much love for animals and would be grateful to take care of your dog/cat as one of our own. Would prefer to pet sit in your home as we have 3 cats. However, boarding at our home is an option. It's mostly just my fiance Ashley and I living in the home as our adult boys are away at college. Please consider us for all of you pat care needs. Thank you! Working full-time but have a hybrid schedule. In the office 3 days a week but can be flexible. Available weekends and holidays for overnight boarding. I do not have a fenced in yard but there is a park nearby. I also walk/run several miles a day. We live in a 3-level condo with plenty of room for zoomies.
“Shana and Eric were very patient and calming for my dogs. I felt very comfortable with them watching my two furry friends! They even texted me updates and pictures to help ease my worried mind. I would highly recommend them!”

“Heather and Tony took great care of Yogi. Spoiled him and sent many pictures of him cuddling with them. We got a picture every day. It was nice know he was well taken care of”

“Our dogs loved being with Sandra and her family. They took such great care of our fur babies. Kept us updated on how they were doing and sent pics. Was flexible with our drop off and pick up which was super helpful.”
“Korine and Matt were so kind and thoughtful and took amazing care of Evie! Evie can have a bit of a hard time warming up to people, but she fell in love with them so quickly! They are my first choice when coming back to visit the area! I can't thank them enough!!!!”

“We will definitely use Rosa again. She is fast to respond. We took our little girl for a meet and greet and we knew then she would be fine. Rosa and her daughters were great! She sent lots of pictures and videos. Zara was well cared for and loved.”

“Jack was great with our dog, Buddy. This was Buddy's first time away from home and I was worried about how he would do. Jack sent me pics often and assured me Buddy was doing just fine. Jack and his family were very accommodating to our schedule. Things went so well, we will definitely use Jack again. I highly recommend Jack for your pet's care.”

“Very responsive and fast communicator! Friendly, accommodated a meet & greet visit in advance, and willing to let me come in their home at drop off. Our dog came home happy and healthy! I had never used Rover before, and this was a very positive experience.”

About: I've taken care of a few different types of dogs but mostly pitbulls. I love to play, if they have high-energy or snuggle and hang if thats their vibe. It'd be great to take them to a dog park with my pup or just out and about. I have my business in home so I'm close by with a flexible schedule. I have a good amount of time to spend in the morning and most days I don't work to late. I take my dog on long walks in the morning and some times to my parents to run in their yard. Every other weekend we're pretty open so we take our pup to a dog park or go for scenic walk and spend extra time outside if its nice. My dog takes long walks in the neighborhood in the am. During the week or weekend I'll take my dog to my parents yard which isn't far or out to a dog park to socialize. Gets fed at 7:30am, outside at about 9am to 10:30am and fed at 5pm out 9pm. She is crated at night and no longer is able to go up and down stairs safely because she has balance issues.
“Angela and her family were terrific! We were stopping in Mechanicsburg for a couple of days during our relocation from RI to LA. She welcomed us and was very conscientious about our lab feeling comfortable in her surroundings. She was flexible with drop-off and pick-up times and made sure our lab had plenty of exercise to offset the hours she would be spending in the car. I would highly recommend Angela and would absolutely use her again!! :)”
“Kayla was terrific watching our 2 dogs. We had a last minute trip and our normal boarders were not available. We had a great meet and greet and our dogs were at her house 2 days later for a long weekend. Her communication while we were away was amazing. The dogs received walks along with a nice backyard to stretch out in. I definitely will be booking her again!”
“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

“I just love how much Christina loves Boris! She’s super communicative and he’s always happy when we drop him at her place, which to me is the best sign that he enjoys his time with her, Willow and Meeko!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mechanicsburg
Our dogs had the best time with David and his family! They enjoyed early morning walks and plenty of activity, which I know they loved. David sent daily photo updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely book with him again for future vacations—as long as he's willing to take our two dogs back after all the fun they had!

I had my two dogs with Rob and his wife last week. They did an awesome job! They have a nice big fenced in back yard and he throws ball w them. I was immediately at ease because Rob sent lots of pics to me. He responded to me quickly anytime I texted him. I would not hesitate using Rob again! Highly recommend!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
