“I had such a positive experience with Patricia. She was very accommodating with drop off and pick up times, she sent multiple updates and photos each day we were gone. Lambeau loved his stay!”

“Victoria and her husband were excellent with my pup! They kept me updated throughout the entire stay with photos and videos. They were so caring and thoughtful with his anxiety issues. Their home and land is perfect for a pup’s stay. Highly recommend!! We will definitely be using them again when we’re in the area!”

“Dava took such good care of Java during a week while I attended a conference in Carlisle, PA. She sent pictures every day. Also gave Java allergy meds after asking me! Dava was awesome!”

“Angel...is...PHENOMENAL! This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit apprehensive, but that all disappeared with the pictures she sent to let me know Mollie was safe and happy! It’s obvious that she loves the dogs she cares for like her own. We’ll be back for sure!”

“Letisia set my mind at ease with her great communication and pictures she sent everyday! She administered medicine to both of my dogs and when I picked them up they were happy and healthy! She even let my pitbull Izzy snuggle and sleep in bed with her all night 🥰 Thank you for taking such great care of my babies!”

“Christine took such great care of Sadie last week! Sadie has always gone to a kennel when we’re on vacation, but at age 14 and in declining health, we weren’t comfortable with that option this summer and decided to try Rover for the first time. We’re so glad that we did! Christine was so patient with our girl, and it really put our minds at ease to get updates and pictures throughout the week, and to know that she was enjoying lots of couch snuggles and attention.”
“Heather did such an amazing job watching our two dogs! Our little dog has a couple of behavior issues and Heather was beyond willing to work with her on those and make her feel at-home. I am extremely attached to my dogs but we had to leave them to get married. Heather made this process super smooth by sending daily updates and photos. I can’t thank her enough for giving my babies an amazing home for the week and giving me the peace of mind to have an amazing wedding.”

“Abigail was great! We needed a last minute sitter for our 1yr old pup for a 10 day trip and Abigail accommodated us with no problem! She was even willing to do a meet and greet before the stay. My 1yr old still has puppy like behaviors which I warned her about and she had no problem as well! My pup also loved spending time with her very friendly dog and kids! She also communicated very well with great response times. Will definitely have Abigail sit for us if needed again!”

“I cannot say enough, good things about Jarod. We had a difficult situation with travel plans, and he was extremely accommodating, and really made it easy for us. Attentive to the dog, knowledgeable, beautiful venue to have your dog stay, this is a no-brainer to book. We appreciated the pictures as well!! 12/10!!”

“Our dogs loved being with Sandra and her family. They took such great care of our fur babies. Kept us updated on how they were doing and sent pics. Was flexible with our drop off and pick up which was super helpful.”
“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

“Wonderful couple! They sent photos the entire time we were on vacation and kept us updated about our pups. We couldn’t have asked for a better home for our babies. We will definitely use them again and would very highly recommend!!!!”

“Diana did amazing at making our little Dixie feel at home and relaxed! Caring for a puppy is no small feat and she took on the challenge with lots of love and care. We'll be using her again!”

“We were very happy with Rosa and her family. From start to finish, they were very caring and sweet. Since it was our first experience, we loved it. Our pups were in the best hands. We highly recommend trusting Rosa, you won’t regret it. Thank you so much, Rosa and family! From Tina and Cooper 🐶🐶🫶🏻❤️”

About: I love all dogs regardless of how hyper or chilled out your pet is. As a student Athlete, I can completely match your dog's energy. I can ensure that you and your pet will look forward to booking with me again. I work in an office in midtown Manhattan from 9-5 Monday-Friday, besides that I'm generally available to give the rest of my evening to other things, considering I have no commitments for my internship outside the office. How I care for other pets completely depends on the animal I'm looking after. Making sure to reciprocate whatever the dog is showing is the priority in most cases.
“Bristoe had a ball! Thank you for having him! I loved the texts throughout my stay away from my boy. Theresa was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thanks again!! We look forward to future stays.”

“Becky always takes care of my dog with as if he is hers. During this visit my dog got sick and she alerted me immediately and was able to triage the issue carefully watching and comforting him. I trust Becky 100% to care for my dog while I’m away and know that he’ll get the attention and love from her like he’d get from me.”

About: I've taken care of a few different types of dogs but mostly pitbulls. I love to play, if they have high-energy or snuggle and hang if thats their vibe. It'd be great to take them to a dog park with my pup or just out and about. I have my business in home so I'm close by with a flexible schedule. I have a good amount of time to spend in the morning and most days I don't work to late. I take my dog on long walks in the morning and some times to my parents to run in their yard. Every other weekend we're pretty open so we take our pup to a dog park or go for scenic walk and spend extra time outside if its nice. My dog takes long walks in the neighborhood in the am. During the week or weekend I'll take my dog to my parents yard which isn't far or out to a dog park to socialize. Gets fed at 7:30am, outside at about 9am to 10:30am and fed at 5pm out 9pm. She is crated at night and no longer is able to go up and down stairs safely because she has balance issues.

We had Max stay with Josie and her family for 2 weeks. She updated us with lots of photos especially being away for that long. Our doggy Max always seem to love being in their home and is always excited when we drop him off 😊 a plus - her 2 kids seem very good with Maxxy!

Remy had an amazing stay with Christina! She was settled in and comfortable right away which put me at ease throughout my trip. Christina checked in and sent photos, letting me know Remy was doing wonderfully and having fun. She is also super communicative when arranging the stay, Remy’s intricacies, etc. I plan to use Christina for future stays and highly recommend!

Heather was wonderful! Abbie was well-cared for and very much at home with Heather and her daughter. Lots of fresh air and space on the property, plus other animals for Abbie to see- chickens, ducks, and kittens—she loved it! Heather was very responsive to texts and sent pictures of Abbie’s activities over the course of the weekend. I look forward to using Heather again and highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
