“Anton and his wife were great. They worked around our changing travel plans and took great care of our dog Roxy. They are excellent communicators and send timely updates and photos. I would highly recommend them to watch your pets!”

“I am so very pleased with Cheryl and her furry family. Cheryl was very meticulous about assessing my dogs needs and care right from the start. My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl. She was able to ease my dogs insecurities right away and allowed her 2 dogs time to meet our little girl on her terms and very cautiously. Cheryl was flexible with my drop off and pick up times and communicated with me throughout the entire stay with updates and photos. She also provided my dog with medications for her skin and gave us great feedback on how I may be able to better care for her allergies. Cheryl is a very responsible dog owner and it certainly carries into her ability to care for my dog as well. My dog was happy and stress free while in Cheryl's care and I will definitely be using her again! If you're looking for a caretaker that will provide top notch care and treat your furry companion with the love and respect they deserve, then look no further and reach out to Cheryl.”

“Wonderful couple! They sent photos the entire time we were on vacation and kept us updated about our pups. We couldn’t have asked for a better home for our babies. We will definitely use them again and would very highly recommend!!!!”

About: I have experience with many types of dogs of all sizes and energy levels! My dog, who is a coonhound mix, gets walked a lot, but is very chill and super friendly with other dogs. I’ve also cared for dogs from an aggressive lab mix, to a 4lb chihuahua. I had a long-term dog sitting job in college where I frequently gave medicine, assembled natural food plates, and exercised multiple dogs with different ages and energy levels. I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to tend to your pup! My dog also requires a lot of attention, so I’m used to dogs who need multiple walks a day and lots of cuddle/play time. My dog gets walked at least 4 miles a day, and has constant access to food and water, as he eats pretty intuitively. While he normally just lounges around the apartment while I’m gone, he is crate trained and can he put up if that is what your pup prefers!
“Angel is the complete package. She sends you status updates with pictures, videos, and itineraries. She follows instructions like special diets to a T and has super sweet and friendly dogs for additional companionship for your pup.”

“Sarah cared for our labradoodle and we would definitely recommend her! She communicated regularly, sent pictures and updates, ensured our pets were compatible before booking, and made us feel very comfortable that our girl was in great hands.”

“I had such a positive experience with Patricia. She was very accommodating with drop off and pick up times, she sent multiple updates and photos each day we were gone. Lambeau loved his stay!”

“Heather was so wonderful taking care of our pup, Pesto! She was so warm and loving to him, and sent us lots of pictures throughout the weekend! Pesto had the best time playing in her backyard. Thank you Heather for being so wonderful to him!”

“Kayla took great care of my dog! She sent many updates letting me know how my dog was doing and was quick to respond to me. Would for sure recommend her to a friend and book with her again!”

“We’ve had Diane as our carer for our dog for over 6 months and she’s amazing in every way a sitter could be… and More!!! Anyone who choose her will be as blessed as us and will continue with her for sure. She loves our boy and cares for him as if he were her own. We will continue with her always! He’s made friends there and is happy there as soon as she sees Diane, so we all are pleased and it’s his vacation spot!!!”

“I felt extremely comfortable . Goose immediately started playing with the other dogs. Obvious animal lovers.Steffany and Juan will be my first choice going forward. I highly recommend them you will be very pleased.”

“I really can't give a complete review because the Kayla's home is on a military base. The family met me off base. They were very nice and when I picked up my dog, she was happy and seemed fine. I wouldn't hesitate to use Kayla again.”

“Courtney was so accommodating and great with Callie. She gave her time to get comfy at their house and Callie had a great time playing with her and her family.”

About: My name is Jarod Anderson I grew up with large dogs my whole life (2 Great Danes, 2 Rottweilers). I am looking to fill my free time with assisting you! Currently I work a full-time job from home (I go into the office twice per month, typically first Tuesday and third wednesday of the month) My schedule is 7:30am to 4pm. I do run some small errands after work but the pets time alone will be minimal. I plan to give any animal the love and attention it needs to have the happiest of stays with me. I look forward to meeting your friend.
“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

“Kayla is awesome! My dog always has a great time and we always get a lot of pictures and updates from Kayla. She is a great communicator and we always feel confident when we leave Zuri with her. We have used Kayla several times and we will continue to book with her in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Carlisle
Heather was wonderful! Abbie was well-cared for and very much at home with Heather and her daughter. Lots of fresh air and space on the property, plus other animals for Abbie to see- chickens, ducks, and kittens—she loved it! Heather was very responsive to texts and sent pictures of Abbie’s activities over the course of the weekend. I look forward to using Heather again and highly recommend her.

Amber was AMAZING with our VERY energetic 1 year old golden retriever Frankie. Amber sent plenty of photos and updates on how Frankie was doing during her stay and Frankie came home happy and played out. Now that Frankie is back home with us I think she is bored! Frankie is already looking forward to another extended stay with Amber and her dog loving family next month. 🐶❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
