While I personally don’t have a dog, I’ve taken many of my friends’ dogs out for walks/runs and I’m very comfortable with all personalities. About: I grew up in a home that was always full of animals...both big and small. My mother has been a dog person since before I was born, so from an early age, I was attending obedience and agility classes with her, and even participating in a few competitions. By my early teens, I had become the go-to pet sitter for friends and neighbors, regularly caring for their dogs. For five years, prior to 2020, my teenage daughter and I volunteered at an all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue, where we served as dog walkers and cat caretakers. Until recently, I lived with two dogs of my own (my ex-partner’s pups), and I still frequently care for my mom’s two dogs when she is away helping my sister with her young children. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality while providing them with the care, comfort, and consistency they deserve. My tabby cat, Lavender, and moved to Bellefonte in the spring of 2025, and I look forward to meeting your furry friends! I am a part-time school teacher and am available most weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as most weekends. This availability may change based on school activities, but I will be sure to communicate with you as soon as I know! Carla was amazing! She came to meet our two dogs prior to watching them for us. We were a bit hesitant to use a service as our usual pet sitter was going to be out of town. Carla was delightful and we trusted her immediately to care for our girls. She sent us great pictures of our dogs while we were away. You can tell she is a true animal lover. Carla is very calm, professional, caring and communicated with us in a timely manner. She even picked up our mail for us, which was appreciated. We recommend her without hesitation. This was the first time we have used Rover or a pet sitter that wasn’t family, and we are so impressed and relieved by the care and attention Claire provided for our kitties! Once again Samantha was great and I was thankful I was able to book her somewhat last minute! She made sure my cat got all of her medicine, which is not always an easy task, and went above and beyond by bringing in mail/ packages and watering some of my plants (which I did not ask her to do).
Miri was AMAZING with my two kitty girls! She went above and beyond - took great care of them. She was very communicative & took so many photos (in which the girls looked SO relaxed - my senior cat even came out for visits which is very unusual, sitters rarely see her)! My only complaint is that I wish I had booked her sooner during my time at PSU - she is a fantastic sitter who has her own cats & really has such a good vibe! Thank you Miri!!!! 🫶🏻🐾
Laura is the absolute best! I have a rescue dog who is very skeptical of new people, and after using Laura a second time, he has really warmed up to her and trusts her which is a HUGE accomplishment. He normally does not take a treat or play fetch with new people, and he did with her!
