Availability
I’m a full time night shifter, so my availability is mostly on mornings or my days off. I can do visits in the early am and late evening. Ideally I will be transitioning to full time freelancing within 2026, so I will have more availability. Please contact me with any requests - I do not keep up with the availability calendar well.

I have had cats, dogs, fish, lizards, a tarantula, hamsters, and rats/mice. I am an animal lover overall. I will happily feed snakes, spiders, and other insects as long as I don’t have to touch them. I have a little bit of experience with parrots and small birds, but I am no bird expert. In the pet world I’m a bit of a ‘Jack of all trades, master of none.’ I will follow all instructions you give me to assure the safety and happiness of your pet while you are away.

I need to know any personality quirks or triggers your pet has so I can avoid them. I definitely want to meet your dog(s) at least once before I work with them. I would like written instructions when there are multiple animals to care for and when medications or special care are needed.
A typical day
It largely depends on the weather and time of day. I will walk your dog at a more sedate pace - I’m not a runner! Willing to play fetch inside or outside. I’d love to learn your pet’s favorite games & toys.

Pet care experience
I am an animal lover and look forward to meeting your babies! My babies are Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail - 3 DSH cats that are sisters and brother. I love spending time with them, grooming, petting and cuddling. I know that every pet has its own personality and I am eager to get to know your pet(s) and their personalities. I have general walking/sitting experience with all types and sizes of dogs, but there is a special place in my heart for pitties. I am an LPN with years of experience in assisted living facilities - not sure that translates directly to pet care but it has taught me patience and given me an instinct for when medical things are afoot.

Jana does a great job and we will continue to utilize her for our pet sitting needs! She is a great communicator and her messages always make me laugh. I can’t compliment her professionalism and consistency enough.
Jana did an awesome job watching my guinea pigs again! Her updates are so detailed and I can tell she really pays attention to each of my pets individually and knows their varying personalities. I do not have to worry about them while I’m gone when she’s taking care of them!
Jana took great care of Poppy and Callie. Jana even won over Poppy who allowed Jana to pet her. This is a rarity as they often hide from sitters. She worried for my nervous Callie, who never came out. But she gave Callie the space she needed Great experience, thoughtful sitter who knows cats’
