“Michelle is the best! Punctual. Kept me up to date on my little one! Spoiled him just as much as I do. I don’t think Butch missed me one bit ? and best part, it’s always great coming home to a clean home. Michelle went over and beyond and cleaned the guest areas that were used, washed sheets and towels, was kind enough to fold laundry I had forgot in the dryer, swept and mopped. I would recommend Michelle over and over again and will definitely be booking for her services again soon!”
“Sereniti was amazing taking care of my dog during a 3 night stay, and I could tell she was treated like family. I got updates and pictures that showed Diamond happy, relaxed, and having fun. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in such loving hands. I’ll definitely be booking with her again next time I travel! Thanks again.”

“Regina was amazing. Our fur babies were very very well cared for. We have two dogs and two cats. Everything was done to keep the pets and the house happy. We will definitely use her again and highly recommend.”

“Absolutely the best decision to have Danielle stay with my boy. She was very attentive, send daily updates, and took amazing care of not only my pup, but my home! Highly recommend, and I will be requesting her assistance in the future.”

“Nicole was great! We were able to travel and not worry about our pets or our home. Unfortunately our Internet was down, but Nicole was fine and managed without it. Everything was as we left it and our pets were very happy, them staying in their own home made all the difference. We will definitely use Nicole in the future and highly recommend her.”

About: I grew up taking care of, owning, and helping raise all kinds of different dogs. Great Danes, puggles, pit bulls, and small dogs like terriers and shitzu’s. I have always been the one friends and family have called to look after their pets while they’re gone. I love them like they’re my own and go above and beyond to make sure they’re comfortable when their parents aren’t around! I have had the blessing of being able to work from home Monday, Wednesdays, Thursday’s, and Fridays with weekends off. The only day i am unavailable during the week is Tuesdays! I want to fill my free time with something I love! I have a very large fenced in yard and we do have one dog of our own who is extremely friendly to keep your fur baby company but if you’d feel more comfortable keeping them separate I am easily able to do that as well as he has a dog bed in my daughters room that he loves being in.
About: They pets that stay with me will be treated as part of the family for their stay. Will be exercised and have play time. As well as any medications, bathing, nail trims if needed. I'm a professional f Dog groomer for 6 years. I am great with needy dogs and will do everything in my power to make your dogs feel like they are at home with all the loving and attention they need. Any special instructions from the pets" parents will be followed to the letter. They will have open areas to play all day if they want or walks if so desired by the pet owner. Available 24/7 for text, picture or videos of their furry loved ones. I have experience with large, small, medium, bulky breeds, and toy breeds. And if you need you pet bathed or groomed before pick up just let me know and I will have prices ready for you. My mother and I are here 24hrs s day. If one needs to run and errand the other stays at home to keep watch over the pups. We take the out ominous the over 0.24 acres back yard that fully fenced in and mostly shaded. I treat them like toddlers, but saying no a lot less since dogs can't speak English. They get all the loving they want rather it be on top of you, rolling over for belly rubs, if they want butt scratches or just chillin- on there own.
About: I’ve had pets since I was 8. I’ve had dogs, birds, fishes, and bunnies. I have experience caring for both small and large dogs. I know signs of when they’re scared, happy or excited. Or when they have to use the bathroom. For instance me and my baby we have an understanding when she needs to use the bathroom she goes to the door and touches it or I ask “do you have to go peepee” and she starts jumping up and gets in front of me to put the leash on. I am passionate about animals and treat every dog with patience, kindness, and love. My experience includes feeding, walking, playing, showering, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and giving them the attention and affection they deserve. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I work part-time and attend college, giving me flexibility to provide attentive, loving pet care. I have time to play, exercise, and ensure your pets feel safe and happy. When house sitting, I care for your pets in the comfort of their own home where they feel most safe and relaxed. As well as helping around your home if needed. I make sure they stay on their normal routine with feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, cuddle time, and baths if needed. I give every pet the love, attention, and patience they deserve, treating them like family while keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable until you return home.
“Velvet was wonderful! Our Bear is an old guy with special needs and medications and Velvet did a great job handling all that he needed. She kept us in the loop on all meals, walks and medications and even sent us photos along the way so we could see how happy he was (maybe too happy without us! LOL). We arrived home to a happy pup and our home safe and sound. We will definitely use Velvet again in the future :)”
“Arianna was great with our 3 dogs. They loved her. I got picture updates and a note when I got home updating me on the dogs. We leave music or the TV on for them when we are not home so when we arrived home she had left them watching the dog channel which was so cute. A few days before our Scheduled time with her we asked if she could come earlier then planned. She not only did but arrived early.”

About: I grew up with dogs at home so caring for them feels second nature. I’ve learned to read their moods, know when they need a walk versus a nap, and to keep a calm but enjoyable presence. I’m comfortable with dogs of any size or energy level, from chill seniors to super energetic puppies. I treat every pet like my own. ❤️ I work as a server, so my schedule shifts week to week rather than following a set routine. But that actually works in my favor for pet care. My days off are usually Wednesday and Thursday, and outside of shifts I have plenty of flexible time to check in, walk, and play. I’m happy to work around your pet’s needs rather than the other way around! I don’t have pets of my own right now, which means your dog/cat gets my full attention with no other animals competing for it. I have a fenced yard, so there’s a safe space for off-leash play and bathroom breaks without worrying about them wandering off. I treat every home and every pet with the same care and respect I’d want for my own.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, and I truly enjoy working with pets of all kinds. My experience goes far beyond dogs and cats. I have cared for lizards, fed tortoises, maintained freshwater aquariums, and cared for fish. I especially enjoy creating healthy, natural aquarium environments. Give me instructions, and they’ll be followed. I also have experience caring for chickens. With dogs and cats, I’ve raised entire litters of both puppies and kittens, and I’m currently raising a kitten of my own. I have four dogs at home (three Pomeranians and one Chihuahua) and grew up with Labrador Retrievers, so I’m comfortable with both small and large breeds. I also grew up with many cats and am very comfortable caring for them. In addition to caring for my own animals, I have three years of dog walking experience. Whether your pet has fur, feathers, fins, or scales, I understand that every animal has unique needs and deserves patient, attentive care. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! 💚 I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. I’m available most evenings and all weekend, making it easy to accommodate walks and pet sitting. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and make sure your pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions you provide. I know that keeping a familiar routine helps pets feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’ll also make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment based on their personality and needs. 💚

“Charles took great care of my dog! My dog is a lot to handle but Charles was more than capable. He came by for a meet & greet to get familiar with him and I definitely felt comfortable enough to leave to a multiple day festival while he watched my dog. Charles was also very respectful of my apartment and my neighbors who like to hang out with my dog on his walks only had positive things to say. Would definitely recommend and book again.”

Laurie was absolutely amazing! I could really tell that she enjoyed the time spent with my fur baby. She didn't mind that my baby was high maintenance and made sure she felt safe in her home. We needed to make a change and drop Luce off later than expected and she was more than accommodating. Thank you so much! Definitely will use her services again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lehigh Acres walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lehigh Acres maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lehigh Acres choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lehigh Acres. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
