About: I have been pet sitting regularly for about three years however, I live on a Ranch and have experience in animals of all sorts. I have so many barn cats and four personal house cats. I can handle from your smallest hamsters to your largest breeds. I’m your girl I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I regularly pet sit a boxer and bearded dragon monthly on top of my animals that I already have. I am able to drop in or stay the night as needed. I have a large fenced in yard where my great Pyrenees is able to roam freely. My cats have a large cat tree crates throughout the house that they can lay in if they choose. they also roam around the house they do not go outside. All of my animals have lots of enrichment.
“My husky Koda, who is slow to warm up and suspicious of new people, absolutely loved Lauren! Her gentle demeanor was just what he needed, and I came home to a calm, happy dog.”

“Brigit is the BEST. We have had her house sit with our dogs multiple times and we have been so grateful. She’s the sweetest person and i know she’s taking care of my dogs. We never have to worry when we are out of town. I got a ton of packages delivered while she stayed and she was amazing and made sure all of them were inside even though they were VERY heavy. We will continue to use Brigit anytime we need a dog/house sitter.”
“Faris was absolutely amazing. Communication was top tier. He sent pictures and videos throughout the night and I could see how passionate he is about animals. I 100% recommend. I’ll be sure to book him again if I ever need his services.”

“Marcus was fantastic. His communication is stellar and he answered all my questions and eased my nerves as this was my first time using Rover. He came over and met my dogs beforehand and I immediately felt comfortable and confident having him in my home taking care of my 3 dogs. My dogs were well taken care of by Marcus and I look forward to knowing I have a great person to watch them. I received sweet pictures and an update on how each one did during their time together. A huge thank you to Marcus.🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾”
“Alexus was so sensitive to our nervous pup, Rusty’s needs! He’s new to us and was anxious about us going out; he apparently was jumping up thinking we were home every time the heat came on, so she turned down the temperature so he could be more relaxed. Thank you so much, Alexis!”

“We were away for 23 days on a long road trip, and our sitter did an amazing job taking care of our dogs while we were gone. She was responsible and communicative. We’re so grateful for the peace of mind she gave us during such a long trip. Highly recommend!”

“Shakti is an amazing pet/house sitter! She is responsive and thorough, and she took great care of our dog and two cats. She followed instructions and went above and beyond by trying to mediate the ongoing drama we have between our two cats. We will definitely use her services again!”
“Luca did a great job pet sitting for us. He followed our directions, took great care of the house and was very caring with our 2 dogs. We appreciated that he sent pictures and updates about how our pups were doing. He watered plants and walked the dogs too. We will use Luca again.”

“Christina was great! From the moment she first met with my four large dogs you could tell that she is very experienced and comfortable with animals. That energy led to the dogs warming up to her immediately. She showed up on time and sent updates and photos throughout the stay. I highly recommend her!”

“Thanks to Juan for looking after our dog and home while we were on vacation. He provided regular updates and gave us piece of mind while we were far away for an extended trip.”

About: I’ve worked with and lived around dogs nearly my whole life. I’ve helped my grandpa with his dog grooming shop over the summers and cared for family dogs including things like walking, training, grooming, and feeding when necessary. I work a part time job that can get quite busy sometimes, but no stress! your pet will always come first to an extra double shift. My schedule comes out weekly, so some things may change from time to time but it is a priority to not let that get in the way of any pet care. I am open on the weekends during the afternoon, easy for drop-ins or quick walks! I have a nice big fenced backyard, perfect for any dog not big on walks or dog parks. I have two dogs, one big, one little. the little is amazing company and goes along with whatever the vibe is. She could be a great buddy for your pup to go on a play date with! The big one may be a bit reactive at first, no aggression just barking and anxiety that usually goes away after a while, but she usually prefers to be alone. Because of this I am looking for jobs other than boarding for the most part. I have a small crate in my car for safe travel with little dogs, so driving around or going out to a specific location for a field trip is an option for puppies and small breeds!
“Greg is an amazing house sitter. my dog and cat were very well taken care of . Communication was great and Greg sent pictures and/or videos daily . Will definitely use him again”

“Martina jumped in literally in the hours before I was leaving as my other sitter cancelled very last minute. Martina was attentive to all the needs of my very elderly cat, gave him his meds, cared for him as if her own. She left my house in really good condition and tidy/clean after an 11-day stay!”

About: I have trained and raised family dogs growing up. My family loves doberman's so I have a lot of experience with bigger dogs as well as medium more energetic dogs like German shorthaired pointers. I have experience taking care of family friends dogs as well from dogs of any size or breed. I'm currently attending school at UNM on MWF. I am available for early morning and night drop-ins Sunday-Monday as well as afternoon visits on Mondays and Fridays. My dog is high energy. I play with her favorite toys when I get home and take her on daily walks around the neighborhood. My dog loves pats and I give her lots of attention.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lee Acres
Ethanee was wonderful. She was very responsive to messages before booking. She took great care of the animals and kept us up to date with them, even switching modes of communication when one was not working due to spotty cell service. I would definitely book her again.
Abby did a great job caring for our cat and dog for four days. She even kept all our plants alive and thriving! We also had a concern about a potential water leak, which she made the time to address right away. We returned to a happy home and happy pets. Would highly recommend!

CK took excellent care of our little dogs and our house. It made such a difference in our going away. We didn’t have to worry about anything. When you see Kay was there and was taking care of everything. The doggies just loved her and she sent us pictures. She’s just the best.

We were a bit nurvous leaving our pups, River and Ollie, with someone new but Nick was great with them both! He took great care of them, feeding twice a day and giving River her daily medication. Nick even gave River a bath after an unfortunate run-in with a skunk. He sent regular updates and pictures so we knew how things were going. Everything was great when we got back, the dogs were happy and he even kept the house very clean, bonus! We normally have family watch our dogs but will definately use Nick again when family does not work out.

I highly recommend Stephanie to care for your pets. She is kind, reliable, and an excellent communicator. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pets were in her care. They were happy, well cared for, and we would absolutely love to have her back in the future.

We hired Keri to pet/house sit for us while we were away over a 2 week period. I could not be more thrilled with her work! All 4 of my pets adored her. Keri sent so many pictures and videos. I never had to worry about how they were doing. I loved seeing all the fun they were having, especially the wonderful walks my dog got to go on. Keri left our house in amazing condition. Everything was clean including fresh bed linens on the bed she used. She even left a note detailing what pet supplies we needed to replenish soon. It made coming home so easy. The pets were excited to see us, but didn't freak out and get overwhelmed when we walked through the door. That was a sign to me that they had been thoroughly taken care of and loved while we were gone.

Rose is tremendous. she is sweet and the dog and 3 cats love her. She is responsible and respectful of staying in someone else's home. I am an anxious pet mama and really didn't worry at all with her in charge. she sent tons of great pictures and updates. I have already reserved her for 2 more stays, so happy to have her on our team.

Shakti is an amazing pet/house sitter! She is responsive and thorough, and she took great care of our dog and two cats. She followed instructions and went above and beyond by trying to mediate the ongoing drama we have between our two cats. We will definitely use her services again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lee Acres walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lee Acres maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lee Acres choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
