About: I have shared my home with animals for all 26 years of my life, and I quite literally cannot imagine a life without them. Over the years, I have loved and cared for a wonderful variety of pets—including cats, dogs, rodents, and even amphibians. This diverse experience has taught me how to read animal body language, respect boundaries, and accommodate the unique needs and quirks of different species. While I adore all animals, cats hold the absolute biggest piece of my heart. I have never not owned a cat, and I am choosing to specialize exclusively in cat sitting so I can give your feline family members the specialized focus they deserve. Whether your cat is a senior who needs precise medicine administration, a playful kitten with endless energy, or a shy hider who just needs a calm, patient presence, I will treat them with the exact same deep love and individual care that I have given my own pets for a lifetime. Because I work full-time graveyard shifts, my days are completely wide open to dedicate to your cat! I am typically available for drop-in visits or house sitting throughout the morning, afternoon, and early evening. My shift schedule can fluctuate slightly from week to week, but I am incredibly flexible and always happy to chat about your specific routine. Let me know what your cat needs, and we can easily discuss how to make our schedules line up perfectly for both parties! I provide cat care exclusively through home visits, meaning your cat gets to stay safe and comfortable in their own territory. During my visits, safety is my absolute priority. I pay close attention to secure entries and exits to prevent escape artists, keep hazards away from curious paws, and learn your cat's unique behavioral quirks and hiding spots. Trust is built on communication, so I provide reliable text and photo updates after every visit. I deeply respect your home, privacy, and household rules, ensuring everything stays clean and locked down. My goal is to keep your cat's routine perfectly consistent while giving you total peace of mind.
“Ashlee has been so kind and helpful to me and my pet babies! She drops in to check on my dog while I’m at work and I can’t thank her enough! She’s also been keeping an eye out for my cats when she drops in, just to make sure my dog Emma doesn’t get into anything. Ashlee has been such a blessing, whenever I have a concern with them getting into something, she always reassures me or communicates what’s happening. Also; she left some dog bags for me when I ran out, what a sweetheart! ☺️💖”

About: I grew up with animals from dogs to guinea pigs. I have experience with owning and caring for a pet. I have the space and recourses to board or pet sit. I would love to care for your fur baby. I am free during day all week. I have an open schedule Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I have time to care for pets whether it is giving scheduled medications or just to be walked and played with. My backyard is completely closed with concrete wall. I do allow pets in my house. The pet will have easy access in and out of the house.
About: Cleaning, feeding, and petting, are my specialities when it comes to dogs. I haven't really trained dogs, besides the basics, but I love spending time with them. I'm currently unemployed (looking for a source of steady income), so I'm available to watch your furry members of the family any time starting in December. Most anything that you need for your pet, I can do. I love learning what my clients expect from me and will do the best of my ability.
“Rachel is really great with my senior dog who is scared of everyone and is also old. She is also extremely flexible and when my international travel plans changed, she was able to care for my pet anyway.”

“Zuko loved his walks with Maliki! This was the perfect match and Maliki was very calm with our big boy (German shepherd/husky), flexible with our schedule and always professional. We felt extremely comfortable having Maliki work and walk Zuko. We would love to work with him again either for walks or more doggie training; would highly recommend Maliki.”

“Yun-Jung was so caring, considerate, and present with Helly. She gave Helly the attention and time that she loves. Thank you for treating her like the energetic princess she is. Highly recommend”

About: I have had dogs & cats my whole life! I can't imagine not taking care of a dog or cat! I'll never let any harm come to your pets! When your pets aren’t playing in my backyard, swimming in my pool, or doing their business they will have one of the guest rooms in my house to chill. Meet Ethel – Our Official Boarding Hostess 🐶 After I retired in June 2023, I began boarding and walking dogs through Rover and Wag. What I didn’t expect was to end up with a 50/50 business partner. Ethel joined my life officially on January 2, 2025, after boarding with me several times throughout 2024. She quickly proved herself to be calm, confident, and remarkably good at managing group dynamics. A few days after she moved in, I discovered something extraordinary: Ethel was born on my 58th birthday—the very morning I was out walking a dog named Cuda. Since then, Ethel has become the heart of my home-based boarding setup. She’s the official hostess, a natural leader during playtime, and the quiet enforcer of naptime. Boarding runs smoother with her here—less chaos, better routines, and happier dogs all around. Think of her as the technical advisor for playtime logistics… and my most valuable coworker. I will follow their owner’s exact specifications. As long as it is safe and healthy for the dog or cat, I'll follow the owner's directions verbatim! I have always fed my dogs and cats Science Diet pet food!
“Sierra loves animals as much as I do, is prompt with our walking schedule, and is willing to go the extra mile. I couldn't recommend her enough if you're in need of her services. She's welcome to take care of my Eva for as long as she's willing.”

Since my schedule is so flexible, I can give any dog the attention it needs. I am completely equipped to walk your dog, take them to the park or care for them in your home. I follow the parental schedule and feedings and am a frequent communicator.

About: If you're looking for someone with an extremely flexible schedule and way too much dog knowledge, I’m your girl! To start off hi, my name is Arie and I've loved animals since my first gerbil at 7. I’ve had many more pets since but after my dog Gemma passed I’m not ready for another one just yet, but I still have lots of love to give •⩊• I’ve learned so much, from bottle feeding her to end of life care (Medicines, physical therapy, her Alzheimer’s. Etc.) I even took the dog CRP and choking class, I just wanted to know everything I could. Even reading every single book about her I found at the thrift and book stores. The one time I had to do CPR on her it was actually successful! I now even do well with behavioral issues, when Gemma’s mind started to go I was a stranger and villain all wrapped in one. She took the patience I thought I had and gave it huuge update haha. She truly thought me that most bad behaviors stem from anxieties and they just need a calming hand. I’m currently a student at CSN but almost ALL my classes are virtual, smh, I have way too much extra time. So this is a win win! You’ll help keep me sane and less lonely, I can help you keep your peace of mind while you’re awayy. When you reach out please feel free to add as much information on your companion as you see fit, there’s nothing you can add that’s too much or unnecessary. The more I know, the less anxious they’ll be when while you’re out. Even if you find a better fit, congratulations on being able to take the time to enjoy yourself!!! I hope you have so much fun and smile lots. Sincerely, Arielle ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ Pet sitting would fit PERFECTLY. I have until midnight to submit all my work, I need a reason to procrastinate. I have crocheted all my yarn, watched my shows, and read all my books. ): The front back and sides of the apartment is fenced off, if it’s cool enough out your dog can momentarily stretch their legs if they’re used to having a doggy door.
“I am really happy to have found Elena to take care of my dog while I traveled. She is a great communicator, shows up as scheduled, was very flexible and easy to work with, and all of my pets were very comfortable around her. I was so happy to have peace of mind while away and will definitely use Elena again in the future. Thanks Elena!”

About: Pet parents and lovers! We use Rover for our pets when needed, so we understand the importance of finding someone who is trustworthy, reliable, and responsible, but also someone who can make your pet feel a little less alone when you are away. Let us be the break your pet needs throughout the day! We do walks, dog parks, stop-in visits, brief home visits, or longer stays (up to two weeks - and at our place only please). We also do baths, play time (obviously!), and errands. We can also follow any training techniques in place. I’m self employed, running a nonprofit that serves veterans and first responders. We advocate and bring awareness to suicide prevention and mental health initiatives. Since I’m self employed, and given the nature of the daily operations pertaining to my job, I have flexibility. Our “dog proof” home comes with a large, fenced in backyard. We have a doggie pool, all basic dog supplies, dog training supplies, all basic cat supplies, leashes, etc. If we are traveling to your home, we suggest that you send us clear, step-by-step instructions and any expectations you may have, and trust that we will exceed your expectations. We genuinely just love animals and want to help out other pet owners while making a little cash.

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! After losing my own dog after 14 years together, I thought it was time to spread the love and care to your loved ones. I was always worried and stressed trying to plan time away from home, I wanted two versions of myself to exist, so I could leave my dog in good hands AND go live and experience life away from home, now I want to give that to you and your pets! Being around all different animals with different personalities, learning their quirks, and keeping their routines brings me so much inner joy. I am comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt to learn how to best care for your loved ones. I let them guide me how much affection and attention they enjoy and want. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs I will focus all my attention on them and nowhere else, your priorities are my priorities! I have a lot of experience with senior dogs, dogs with hearing and vision problems, and can handle medications, whether oral or injectable, on tight schedules. Leaving home, taking a vacation, working long days; so much stuff to already stress about, let me spend time with your dog so you can do what you need or want to do without worrying! I am currently home full time and am available for drop ins, house sittings, and walks when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. I can work with you on what you need and when you need it. Safety and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets in my home or yours. I treat every pet like my own and want to take the time to learn their routines, preferences, triggers, and quirks so they feel secure and loved while you're away. I have hands on experience caring for senior dogs, including those that are hearing or vision impaired, mobility differences and medication needs. In your home and with your pet, I respect your routine and instructions to help give your pets consistency to feel safe. You'll receive updates, photos and open communication to know how your fur babies are doing.

I couldn’t have asked for a better dog walker. She is incredibly trustworthy, kind, and genuinely attentive to Killer’s needs. From day one, it was clear how much she truly cares not just about doing the job, but about building trust and comfort with him. Killer absolutely adores her, and seeing how excited he gets says everything. She’s always helpful, thoughtful, and communicative, which gives me complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. I’m beyond grateful to have found someone who treats him like her own. So happy I found her and I continue to use her weekly .

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
