Meet Ethel – Our Official Boarding Hostess 🐶 After I retired in June 2023, I began boarding and walking dogs through Rover and Wag. What I didn’t expect was to end up with a 50/50 business partner. Ethel joined my life officially on January 2, 2025, after boarding with me several times throughout 2024. She quickly proved herself to be calm, confident, and remarkably good at managing group dynamics. A few days after she moved in, I discovered something extraordinary: Ethel was born on my 58th birthday—the very morning I was out walking a dog named Cuda. Since then, Ethel has become the heart of my home-based boarding setup. She’s the official hostess, a natural leader during playtime, and the quiet enforcer of naptime. Boarding runs smoother with her here—less chaos, better routines, and happier dogs all around. Think of her as the technical advisor for playtime logistics… and my most valuable coworker. I will follow their owner’s exact specifications. As long as it is safe and healthy for the dog or cat, I'll follow the owner's directions verbatim! I have always fed my dogs and cats Science Diet pet food!

About: Hi! I’m Scarlett, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. Some of my favorite memories growing up involve dogs curled up next to me on the couch, playing outside until they were completely worn out, or spending quiet evenings with my cat in my lap. Caring for animals has never felt like a chore to me—it’s something I genuinely love. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Right now I have a service dog who has taught me so much about patience and understanding anxious pets. Because she needs extra reassurance, I’ve learned to pay attention to body language, build trust at each dog’s pace, and create an environment where they feel safe and comfortable. I also have a 10-year-old cat that I’ve raised since she was young. When she started having trouble using her litter box, I didn’t give up or get frustrated. I spent time researching, changing her routine, and working with her until she was confidently using it again. Experiences like that have taught me that every pet communicates differently, and sometimes they just need someone willing to slow down and understand them. I’m especially comfortable caring for pets with medical needs. I’ve given insulin injections to my younger brother with Type 1 diabetes as well as a close friend’s diabetic dog, so needles and strict medication schedules don’t intimidate me. I’ve also administered eye drops, ear medication, and oral medications to my own dogs, including caring for one of my dogs while he struggled with painful eye conditions that required daily treatment. Since I’m studying nursing, being calm, detail-oriented, and following medical routines accurately is something that comes naturally to me. I’m also an active person. I love being outside, going on walks, running, and staying busy, so energetic dogs are honestly my favorite. Whether your dog loves long walks, games of fetch, or simply needs someone who can match their energy, I’m always excited to join them. At the same time, I’m just as happy spending a quiet afternoon keeping an older dog company or giving extra attention to a shy pet that needs a little more patience. Beyond dogs and cats, I’ve cared for snakes, fish, and plenty of plants (my room is basically a tiny jungle), so taking care of living things has always been a big part of who I am. Friends and family know me as the person who notices the little things—whether it’s a change in appetite, energy, or behavior—because I truly pay attention. When your pet is with me, my goal isn’t just to feed them and let them outside. I want them to feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for. I’ll treat them with the same patience, love, and attention that I give my own pets, and I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in good hands. Pet care fits easily into my schedule! Right now, I’m available full time as I prepare to move to college. I always make sure every pet gets plenty of love, exercise, attention, and one-on-one care. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and safe as possible by sticking closely to their normal routine. Whether that means following a medication schedule, taking a favorite walking route, or giving them extra cuddles before bed, I’m happy to do whatever helps them feel at home. I’m very detail-oriented and comfortable administering medications, including pills, eye drops, ear medications, and insulin injections when needed. I’ll always pay close attention to your pet’s behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I’ll let you know right away if I notice anything unusual. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect I treat my own. I’ll keep everything clean, secure, and exactly how you left it. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving plenty of love while you’re away.

About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by all kinds of animals, so caring for pets has always felt natural to me. From a young age, I learned how to read different personalities, respect boundaries, and make animals feel safe and comfortable. That experience still guides how I care for pets today. I currently share my home with two dogs. One senior at 12, a kind and spunky Shepherd mix named Ozzy. A younger at 8, a gentle and playful Golden Retriever named Clint. I also have two rabbits named Sam and Frodo ( who Basically rule the house). So I’m familiar with different ages, energy levels, and routines. I ensure that all dogs I take in are friendly with other animals. If I feel a dog will not feel safe with my current pets I will inform the owner of this concern. About: I've had pets as long as I've been alive. I've always loved having a dog as close to me as possible 🤣. Big and small dogs are always in good hands with me! I love to take the dogs on walks, weather permitting. Im a stay at home mom so pet care is in my cards, your pet will rarely ever be alone, this is my FT job :) I love learning about new animals, and playing with them all day long. Even if it's playing ball for 12 hours 🤣. I have a fenced off yard that is also tall for even the most bold escapee dogs. I don't allow many people in my home. Only those I trust. I have a gate to my community, and cameras outside of my home. I do offer drop in service, and can come often.

About: Hello, my name is Alexa (some friends also call me by middle name, Cecilia). I have been a dog lover and parent since I was young, and as an adult have gotten the opportunity to care for a variety of breeds and ages. I have experience with small breeds, senior dogs, and puppies/adolescent dogs in my own home as well as when friends and neighbors need some extra help. Medication regimens, playtime, training sessions, and of course some cuddle time are all in my comfort zone. Whatever accommodations you need for your pet, I am happy to provide and send photo/video updates while you're away! I currently have a part-time job in the evenings only a few days a week, and also take classes at UNLV. However, most of my schooling is online and my work schedule is very flexible as well. With that flexibility, I can be available in the Daytime and Evenings. For longer stays, extra notice will help me plan accordingly to accept the opportunity to care for your pets. Whether there's a backyard available or not, I'm happy to take your pet out and about to ensure they stretch their legs and get their sniff on. Depending on your pet's temperament and your comfort level, I can facilitate play dates or keep them company solo. Safety is important to me, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.

About: I grew up with animals from dogs to guinea pigs. I have experience with owning and caring for a pet. I have the space and recourses to board or pet sit. I would love to care for your fur baby. I am free during day all week. I have an open schedule Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I have time to care for pets whether it is giving scheduled medications or just to be walked and played with. My backyard is completely closed with concrete wall. I do allow pets in my house. The pet will have easy access in and out of the house.

“What stood out about Lordyn was how naturally she loved on Mango. I never had to ask her to give extra attention or affection. She just did it because that’s who she is. When I looked back at my camera afterward, I saw her constantly giving Mango pets, talking to her, and making sure she felt human connection and love that every dog deserves. As someone who worries about leaving their dog behind too long, that meant a lot to me. You can tell she’s a true animal lover, not someone who’s just there to check the boxes. If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely care for your dog and make them feel loved while you’re gone, I couldn’t recommend Lordyn more.
