“Jessica and her family took great care of Hank while we were gone! When my husband went to pick him up, he said that Hank initially started going back to the house instead of the car. Definitely a testament to how he was treated and how much he enjoyed being there. I also appreciated the updates and pictures. We would definitely trust Jessica to watch Hank again.”

“We had a fantastic experience with our sitter! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, sending regular updates and adorable pictures of our dogs that really put our minds at ease. Our pups were clearly happy and well cared for, and they loved playing in her spacious, fenced-in backyard with other friendly dogs. When we had to extend the stay unexpectedly due to weather, she was flexible and accommodating without hesitation. I felt completely comfortable leaving our dogs in her care, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. Highly recommend!”

“Dynette is Izzy's favorite pet sitter! She gets so excited to see her and stay with her!! Dynette always has great communication and updates during Izzy's stay. We get to enjoy our get aways knowing Izzy is having a special time being loved on by Dynette!!”

“This is our first time using Rover and it could not have gone better! Brock and Laura were so nice, understanding, and supportive. We got multiple updates to reassure us, the dogs got so many walks - rain or shine. I will definitely be using them again!!!”

“This is the place to bring your pups for great care, a fun backyard and awesome support. Do not hesitate to book, your dog(s) will have a blast. They are willing to work with all types of dogs, so check in with them! Thank you!”

“Katie is great with our two dogs and very accommodating to our schedule when needed. This was our second time with her and we plan to use her again if possible. Thanks from Phoebe and Dexter for a great weekend!”

“Monica was fantastic! Daily updates with pictures. We dropped our corgi off to her for a whole week and we were worry free our whole vacation! Also let us add an extra day to our reservation at the last minute. Would highly recommend! Very friendly as well ?”

“This was Rosie first boarding, other than a few nights at a commercial daycare center. Mike accommodated an unexpected nighttime crate issue, Rosie did not want to sleep in her crate. She has slept in her crate at our home since we got her as a 3mo puppy in early April 2024. Thank you Mike. After her stay at Mike’s, we are now more aware that we need to work on the “come” command. Thank you Mike for all the daily pictures - she looked like she was having fun!”

“Allene took such good care of my bb Sloane! She sent great recaps and the cutest photos each day. She also has two wonderful pups that offered Sloane a lot of friendship and play during her stay and they were gentle with her since she’s little! Would definitely book Allene again!”

“Dawn is awesome! I’ll definitely be booking with her again. She did such a great job with my fur baby and helped him feel at home, even with his separation anxiety. She takes care of all the pets she takes in like they’re her own. Such a kind person!”

“We love Stan! Our dog loves it there- he gets along great with Stan’s resident dogs. My husband and I love that Stan is great about sending updates and pictures and that he clearly loves dogs. We highly recommend him!”

“Danielle is our go to for looking after our boy Scribble. Danielle loves animals and when she sends the daily photos of our dog, he looks like he is having more fun there than at home. Highly recommend Danielle to look after anyone’s pups!”

“Julie and Jesse have been amazing with my senior dog, Etta. This was Etta’s fourth stay, and each time I appreciate receiving timely updates and know that Etta is well cared for and in a loving home when I am gone. I would recommend Julie and Jesse without reservation. They are great!”

“We were so happy with the care Claire took of our beagle, Lucy, while we were out of town for a week. She kept us well updated and it was clear that Lucy was being cared for and loved. Would definitely be comfortable leaving Lucy with her again in the future!”

“Rozalyn took WONDERFUL CARE of my dog, Poppet. She also sent me pictures or videos daily. I was extremely happy with her doggy care for my pup. I would definately use her again.”

“We had a great experience with Carman! She took such good care of Button and treated her like their own. We felt completely comfortable knowing she was in good hands. Would definitely recommend! 🐾❤️”

“Jenny and her husband watched our 9MO old French Bulldog puppy over a weekend recently. They are a super nice couple, with a dog of their own- Zoe. They provided my boy Floyd with a lot of love over the weekend. They sent me several pictures of him having a fun time (even one pic of him staring at a bowl of ice cream)! I would definitely recommend Jenny to care for your babies. Thank you!”

“An excellent experience. They provided great communication with updates and photos of the dog. I could tell immediately upon picking up my dog that she enjoyed her stay with them. I plan to use them again for future travels.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Landfall
We couldn’t ask for a better sitter for Cooper! He stayed with Rozalyn & her family for two weeks while we were out of the country, and knowing he was in such loving hands made being so far from home so much easier! Cooper absolutely loves her and her girls, and her dog is his bestie! It really feels like he has a second family there. She’s caring, responsive, and sends plenty of updates, which we always look forward to. You can tell she truly cares about Cooper and wants him to feel comfortable, happy, and loved. Being away for two weeks is a long time, but I never worry when he’s with her. Having someone we trust this much is priceless. We’re so grateful to have found her and can’t recommend her enough!

I received detailed communications at least twice daily from Roxanne that let me know how and what my dog was doing while in her care. I also received many wonderful photos that I'll want to keep forever. Her home and yard are very secure, which put my mind at ease, given that my dog is a runner if she gets loose. Most importantly, I could tell that Roxanne loves caring for dogs and that she and her husband gave mine lots of love and attention.

This was Louie’s second stay with Carrie & Family, and this truly is a home away from home. Carrie was gracious and flexible when the stay needed to be extended due to a flight cancellation. Loving family, nice fenced yard, just a wonderful environment. We’re so grateful for their care!!

Ashley was perfect for our Freya. Freya was a little timid going to a new place, but as soon as we met and spoke with Ashley, I knew she would be in good hands. Ashley has a calming, caring demeanor. She welcomed Freya, who warmed right up to her. Her own dog was sweet and lovely and welcomed Freya as well. Ashley's home is in a very quiet neighborhood with nice walking areas. She sent photos of Freya on walks, resting on the sofa, and even performing a trick for a treat. I was very happy with her and will call her again next time we need a Rover.com. Lori M.

Jennifer was absolutely terrific! She cared for our mini-goldendoodle as we would have and beyond. We were sent updates and felt very at ease with leaving her for the first time. She even took our storm frightened dog into the basement for a cuddle and nap during a thunderstorm. Would definitely have Jennifer look after our dog again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Landfall home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Landfall.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Landfall sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
