I’m Pretty much retired just doing this doggy daycare business, my daughter works part time and helps me most with the doggie daycare as her second job, I get jealous the dogs seem to love her more than me, my husband and son work and help out when they’re off work. I sometimes drive my daughter to a doctors appointments, we love to bring the dogs along if they don’t get carsick we have special seatbelts and harnesses for The pups if we have to make a run to the store and someone will always sit waiting with the pups.

I try to group them so if the first dog to book is an older dog, then I just only take older dogs that stay or dogs that I know will get along with older dogs… and The same for the young pups that are very playful. Occasionaly we get medical needs dogs and I do have separate areas around the house that are gated off I Call it the doggie sweet as it’s the two front rooms and my daughter would help out and be the caregiver for the shy, maybe a group of puppies that need to be on Pee pads, even a dog recovering from surgery I would use those gated off rooms.

non shedding dogs only please as we do have some allergies to ones that shed for some reason. Poodles, Yorkies, Shih Tzu, Maltese, must be under 15# we only take small dogs.
A typical day
we have plenty of toys and try to get pictures of the dogs to send to you showing how they are doing on “their Vacation” we have several bowls of water laying around the house change daily I try to feed dogs in separate areas I can’t guarantee that they won’t get each other‘s food in the end but we will do our best. There are plenty of toys to play with and we try to get them outside at least every 2-4 hours to pee unless there are used to using Pee pads, don’t be surprised if you see dogs in diapers as we have noticed some dogs mark more when there’s a group of pups. For winter we use our doggie deck it is gated and we have the grass pee pad out there also.

Pet care experience
This is a family run home business. 99% of the time Someone is home with the pups. We only take in small dogs about 14# or less such as Yorkie, Maltese ShihTzu and Poodles. Your pup will be under attentive care by a stay at home mother and her responsible daughter, age 18, son age 27 both who love playful dogs! we are careful when booking a group of pups, so they get along (old w/ old) (playful w/ playful) Your pup will be taken outside every 2-3 hours to do their business, walked, played with, cuddled, petted, talked to and loved. we have a double lot, trails nearby and a gated Sun Deck purfect for the pups off the kitchen. There's several dog beds around the house and a window perch for them to observe people walking their dogs. we have a doggie stroller for those pups who can't walk or don't want to! so they can still enjoy the outdoors. We even adopted one yorkie from a lady who moved out of the country and came back to visit her dog. he has since passed, but we gained a friend! ***** ROSEMARY PLANT KEEPS TICS AND FLEAS AWAY ****** PEPERMINT KEEPS SPIDERS MOSQUITOES AND ANTS AWAY **** BASIL OR LAVENAR KEEPS FLIES AND MOSQUITOES AWAY ***

Dawn takes the best care of my dog when I am away!

pinkie enjoyed her time!

Wonderful! Daily pictures and Pinkie had a wonderful time!

Leaving our little shih tzu with Dawn was like leaving him with a family member! Both our little one and I have separation anxiety. Dawn made both of us, especially me, feel comfortable being away from each other. She texted and sent pictures daily, sometimes more than once if a situation warranted it. Our dog has a hard time with storms and loud noises. There were a couple of bad storms while we were away. She knew about them before I texted her and helped him by closing the blinds, putting something soothing on the tv and comforting and sitting by him. She actually gave us great tips on how to help him get through storms. Our little guy isn’t perfect and can have an accident during the storms. This potential wasn’t a problem or concern for Dawn as she simply said she’d put a puppy pad on him. Previously, he was bitten by another dog and can be protective as a result. We introduced him to as many of the other dogs he would stay with as possible, and it went quite well. Dawn knows the best way to introduce dogs for a positive experience which was very helpful. Her house is set up to optimize any dogs’ stay with plenty of water dishes, toys, blankets, beds and even a little staircase with a comfortable landing to see out the front window. Her deck is set up for play areas as well as a potty area so there isn’t the potential for another dog to bite him on a walk. We are so grateful and happy that we found her! This was the first time we couldn’t leave him with a family member, and we don’t think it is possible that the experience (for our dog and us) could have gone any better. Please don’t hesitate to put your four-legged child in the professional, loving and caring hands of Dawn. Now we can plan future trips without the worry of who will take care of him. It is definitely Dawn!
