About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for caring for dogs. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 15 years old, and over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to senior companions. I’ve personally house trained all of my own dogs growing up, so I’m very comfortable with helping reinforce good habits and routines. In addition to puppy training, I’m also attentive to the special needs of senior dogs, including slower-paced walks, medication schedules, and making sure they’re comfortable and well-cared for. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs so they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine! I have a hybrid work schedule, which means I'm home most of the week and only go into the office two days. This allows me to be present and attentive, giving pets the love, care, and attention they need throughout the day—whether it’s for walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love incorporating pet care into my everyday life. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is always to make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I tailor my care based on the pet’s routine and needs, whether that means sticking to a specific feeding schedule, giving medication, going on regular walks, or simply spending quality time playing or cuddling. When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like part of the family. I provide a clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. For in-home visits or house sitting, I’m respectful of my client’s space and aim to keep things as close to the pet’s normal routine as possible to help reduce stress while their owner is away. No matter the setting, I focus on clear communication, reliable care, and lots of love to give pet parents peace of mind.

“Matt is the absolute best!! Very sweet and kind to my 13 year old black Lab. From the meet and greet I could tell Matt was very sweet to my Lola and empathetic to my anxiety of leaving my elderly pup alone. Matt was very attentive to following the list of directions for my pups eating and med routine and was so kind to send me updates each time food, meds and potty breaks happened. Matt sent tons of pics all day. Already booking Matt for my next trip. Thank you Matt you are an angel.”

“Donatella made me feel super comfortable and kept me updated and had open communication throughout her stay with our pup. Will definitely be working with her in the future and would recommend her to anyone.”

“María watched our 6 month old puppy for several days, and she is fantastic! She gave us frequent updates and took a lot of great pictures. She made sure our pup was well cared for and had fun while we were gone! She is very compassionate and an animal lover. On top of taking great care of our pup, she also took time to make sure our apartment was tidy when we got home. We will definitely have María look after our pup in the future!”

About: Hi, I’m Linda—your friendly neighborhood pet pal from the Northmont corner of La Mesa—a lifelong dog-and-cat whisperer with a soft spot for neighborhood strolls, sunny snuggle sessions, and furry companions of every kind. From playful pups to wise old whiskers, I’ve shared my home and heart with my dachshunds and kitties galore—and I still believe there’s nothing better than earning a tail wag or a quiet purr of approval. I'm 100% retired and based in La Mesa’s Northmont area, I live near Northmont park…with lots of room for running and chasing a ball, or just lounging under a shady tree. I bring calm, consistent care with a side of local flair. Your pet and I might wander familiar trails, explore shaded sidewalks, or simply lounge on the porch with the breeze in our fur. Whether it’s a walk, a weekend stay, or just a drop-in cuddle and kibble check, I’ll treat your four-legged family like my own—with warmth, punctuality, and lots of love. Let’s make your time away feel like just another cozy day for your pet. I'm 100% retired and based in La Mesa’s Northmont area. I am currently available 7 days/week. Prefer early morning walks if possible to protect your pet's paws from hot pavement and heat of the day. I prefer not to provide visits to my personal home, but more than willing to care for your fur babies in your home, where they're comfortable and in their familiar environment. I’m fully insured with professional PCI ("Pet Care Insurance") liability coverage, including animal bailee and veterinarian reimbursement—giving you peace of mind while your pets are in my care. Safety, trust, and premium service are always my priority. Certified in Pet CPR & Emergency Care 🐾 Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I’m proud to be certified through the RECOVER Initiative—the gold standard in veterinary CPR training. This evidence-based program, developed by leading veterinary specialists, equips me with the skills to respond confidently in emergency situations. Whether I’m walking your dog or caring for your cat, you can trust that I’m prepared, informed, and committed to their well-being.

About: Certified in Cat and Dog First Aid – American Red Cross Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for a wide range of pets, scaled or furry, young and old. Whether your pet is young and playful or a senior in need of a little extra care, I look forward to giving them the best care they need. I’ve cared for many medium to large dog breeds such as Labrador Retrievers, Boxers, Pit Bulls, Siberian and Alaskan Huskies, and Malamutes. I also have experience with smaller breeds like Dachshunds and French Bulldogs. For cats, I’ve grown up with them in my own home as well as cared for friends and neighbors over the years. I currently share my home with two of my own, Ulysses and James 🐈 🐈⬛. Reliable, compassionate, and trained in pet first aid, I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I'm also happy to help with simple household tasks like bringing in packages or taking out the trash. Feel free to reach out during a visit and let me know! 🕓 Schedule I have a fairly flexible work schedule. I do work a typical 9-5 but can pop in and out for short periods of time. Please message me and we can get you on my schedule ☺️ 💛 Care I think having a set routine for pets is very important, especially when you’re away. Ideally I would try to best emulate what schedule you have your pet on with walks and feeding schedule.

“Jamie did an amazing job of taking care of our home and our 3 pets - even the older guy with a rigid and inconvenient schedule. Cameron H.
“Cameron has been a house sitter for me on multiple occasions. I have two geriatric cats and they are super fussy about everything! Cameron does a great job of making sure their needs are met while I am out of town. He makes sure they get the right amount of water added to their wet food so they don't get constipated. He cleans the cat box daily because they won't use it if it is super dirty. He even waters my plants and takes in my mail. He's also very sweet and kind and communicates with me about my cats after he comes by. I highly recommend him for any job concerning pets that you have!”

Lara F.
“Lara stayed in our Napa home for 2 weeks as a pet-sitter through the TrustedHousesitters site. She took excellent care of our playful kitten, Storm, and our two foster cats. I noticed that the foster cats were more sociable and confident upon my return. Storm (kitten) loves to play and snuggle, photos showed she got plenty of both activities whilst we were gone. We also have a stray cat that visits for food and water every day but is scared of people - Lara had no problems making sure that they were cared for as well.”

Lindsey S.
“Lindsey is a close friend and classmate in a graduate clinical program together. She is extremely smart, responsible, and resourceful when needed and most importantly she is an absolute animal lover. She stayed at our place and looked after our 2 dogs (balls of energy) for 8 days while we were on vacation. She took excellent care of our place and even better care of our dogs. I would absolutely recommend her for any of your pet's needs whether it's a walk, a drop in visit, or an extended stay. She will give your pets all of the love and care they need. 10/10 would hire her again in the future.”

Lily M.
