“Bethany and Will were awesome! Not a day went by that we didn't receive pictures of our kitties! It was a great comfort knowing they were in good hands while we were gone.”

“My pups were so excited that I had DeDe visit them several times this week. They love to play ball and get lots of love which DeDe gives them. She's great and I highly recommend.”

“Jennifer is the best!!!! My cats were treated so well that I didn't see any difference in their behavior after our extended departure. They were relaxed when we arrived and I could see right away that they really liked the care Jennifer gave them. Jennifer was very helpful and available. She helped us out when our trip out of the country was extended by 2 weeks. I had peace of mind knowing my cats were in good hands. Everything was clean when I arrived and my cats had missed us, but I could see that they were relaxed and well fed. seraphin, my most shy cat, was super comfortable with her, and that's a great proof of the quality of the bond Jennifer knows how to build with animals. Thank you :-)”

“Ruth was terrific and extremely organized. Super convenient and prompt in responding through the app. Her check ins were right on time and she took lots of pictures!”

“Kylee is amazing!! This was my first time using Rover for our boxer dog. I was nervous to allow a stranger into our home for drop in visits but Kylee really made me feel at ease. I could not have asked for a better experience! Kylee was always on time, extremely reliable, quick with all communications and provided daily photos and details of her visit. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her services again!”

“Thank you Joshua. If you ever need superior care for your pups, then don't hesitate and book Joshua G! My pups were so well cared for they almost didn't care that I was home. Excellent communication and picture updates. 100% less stress on my dogs than boarding. Thank you again.”

“Karla was excellent! She was prompt, and took excellent care of our pups. Communication was excellent and she sent us pictures as well which we really appreciated! We will definitely be booking her again :)”

About: I have taken care of all of my families pets for most of my life. I also used to help my godmother with her pet sitting/walking business and through this learned the ins and outs of pet sitting and what different owners require! I currently work a part time job where I am given the schedule for the next week the week before, but I have 14 days to schedule off of work. So, my schedule is open as long as I am given well enough notice to be able to call off of work! My experience with my personal animals is that I feed, wash, and provide my pets with the care they need. My personal animals are in a fenced yard, but I frequently walk them around my neighborhood. With my cats I provide similar care, taking care of their litter and grooming and food needs.
“Jaycie was personable and great communication throughout our week long time away. You can tell she really cares about animals and takes pride in her work. We will book with her again!”

“Isabella did a great job taking care of our senior cat. She communicated right away when Punkin was too stressed and anxious to give her medicine. She suggested another way which worked well. The communication every day through Rover eased my mind about leaving Punkin by herself. We will definitely be using Isabella again.”

About: I’ve pet sat for a teacher, best friend and my aunt. I’ve worked with reactive dogs and dogs of different sizes and backgrounds, even mine. With every animal that I work with and take care of, I treat them like my own. I’ve worked with all kinds of animals thanks to working at pet supermarket. I’m currently not working but I am looking for a job. I’m available everyday, early mornings and evenings Monday - Saturday and all day on Sundays. While in a clients home, I will play your dog(s) for as long as they want with breaks in between. I will keep the house clean from any messes that may be made. While in my care, your pet will be treated with respect and I will love them as my own.
About: Life-long animal lover and future vet, dedicated to providing expert care and comfort for your furry babies. This will also be my 3rd year taking veterinary classes! I’m currently on summer break so I have plenty of free time on my hands and I’d still be doing this when school starts back up. I have a fenced in backyard and I have 2 Yorkies that love meeting other dogs and cats. I have one cat that is also very friendly.
“Kane is pretty shy usually when meeting new people, but my dad said he took right to her! She was great in letting me know what was happening during both drop in visits and super friendly! I definitely know who I will be booking when we need to go away again.”

About: I have been a pet sitter since two years ago. I sat and walked my friend’s dog who lives in Chicago for the past two years. I’m currently working part time, so I have the time to take care of any animal as long the animals doesn’t bite me. I would feed them as needed and walk them 3 times a day. I don’t have a dog at the moment, but my cat is taken well care of and given plenty of love.
About: I’ve cared for animals since I was 15 and have experience with all different breeds! My first job was in a pet store, so I’m very familiar with caring for puppies and a large range of different pets! My pup has a chronic illness and requires medication daily, so I am experienced with administering medication as well. I am a stay at home fur mom and human mom and have open availability to check in on your pet(s). I can check in multiple times per day and can offer discounts for multiple days. Currently I am not offering services in my home for any pet. As our son gets older, we may decide to open up our home for puppy vacations
“Matt and Nicole did a wonderful job taking care of my cats. It was so great getting pictures everyday and they took so many great ones! It’s nice not having to worry that your pets are fed and taken care of. I’d definitely ask for them again!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our two kitties! This was the first time we had left them alone for more than a couple days, and it was such a relief knowing someone was going to check on them and make sure the older cat got her medication.”

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lakeland Highlands. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
