About: I’ve been caring for pets as long as I can remember. I generally just do it as a favor for friends and relatives. I currently own two dogs. I’m good with any age of a dog or cat. I work everyday during the week. However, I do have time on my lunch break to let animals out depending on the distance. I’m free after 4:30 on business days and 3 on weekends. I don’t have a problem staying the night at someone’s house if it’s needed. I cannot currently dog sit at my house due to one of my dogs being aggressive. He’s very slow to warm up and I don’t want to chance it.

Whatever makes him/her most comfortable! I take the trust and safety of pets very seriously, only keeping one pet (or family of pets) at a time. I also document a daily diary of their experiences, and send pictures on a daily basis (unless requested otherwise). You can review the daily diary document (as well as information I prefer to obtain before pet sitting), in my photos section. This document includes the preferred vet and emergency center I utilize, although I am happy to contact your preferred vet if provided to me. I prefer dogs be crate trained if they are young and active, but while I have a large double-sized crate, it is only used if we are all gone for a short time (for the dog’s safety and comfort). The rest of the time pets are welcome on the bed to sleep with us, on furniture, etc. If there is a reason the dog can’t be crated, please discuss it with me and we can come up with safest and best plan for your pet! I also have a room set up for pets in case they want to be alone or have quiet time. It is also helpful if you bring a blanket from home, so s/he is comforted by the familiar smells of you and their loving home!

About: I have always had an admiration for animals no matter the type. But for some reason the love that you get in return from a dog is just indescribable. I know that it is always a weary feeling to leave your babies in the care of someone else. But it definitely helps to know that the person caring for your pet shares the same passion that you do. I never thought that I would own small dogs but I am actually glad that I do have two Chihuahuas now because I can take them almost anywhere! There has been an occasional weekend trip where I haven't been able to bring the pups along and it just didn't feel the same having to leave them behind. So if you have to leave them, leave them with someone who will care for them just as well as their own! I definitely prioritize my pets before any plans are made! No matter the time of day, week or year. They are my fur babies and anyone that knows me will agree! Depending on the environment or location, I would definitely say to use a leash first and foremost. I would also like to know if you know about the other animals in the area, just to provide as much safety as possible.
About: I’m a 23-year-old registered pediatric nurse with a lifelong love for animals! Becoming a veterinarian was actually my second career choice because of how much I’ve always enjoyed caring for animals. I grew up with dogs and have experience with a variety of breeds and sizes. I’ve cared for my own childhood dogs, as well as family and friends’ dogs, since I was a teenager. I also have experience caring for senior dogs. We recently lost our beloved 15-year-old Shih Tzu-Bichon mix, who was a very special part of our family. Caring for him throughout his senior years taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, gentle care, and understanding that older dogs may have different routines and needs. My husband and I currently have a one-year-old Pit Bull whom we rescued from the SPCA when he was just two months old. Caring for him has given me even more experience with puppies, high energy dogs, training, patience, and understanding each dog’s individual personality and needs. As a pediatric nurse, I’m naturally patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable following detailed care instructions. I understand how important it is to treat every pet as an individual and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, an energetic adult, or a senior who needs a little extra patience and care, I would love the opportunity to treat them like family while you’re away. I work three days a week, including every Saturday and Sunday, with my third workday varying. My schedule gives me plenty of time on my days off to dedicate to caring for pets. I’ll consistently update my Rover calendar so my availability is accurate. I am married so my household consists of my husband and I and our 1 year old pit bull. However, I will be handling all of the care involving your pet when you book with me ! My priority is making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ll keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, follow their care instructions, and make sure they receive plenty of attention. For stays in my home, I’ll also make sure your pet and my dog are a good fit and are introduced safely.
