About: Hello! I am a lifelong dog lover with personal and professional experience taking care of animals. I have worked as a dog daycare attendant managing up to 40 dogs at a time, but prefer to care for pets 1 on 1, so that they can get the individual attention that they deserve. I want to continue surrounding myself with animals and am currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry. I love making dogs feel like they are loved and taken care of and work hard to ensure your dog feels right at home. I have experience working with all types of dog breeds and temperaments so I can recognize problematic behaviors before they begin and keep your dog safe and comfortable. If your dog is in need of basic obedience training, I can provide training services if you would like to see your dog learn a few more tricks during their stay, or work on certain behaviors. I am able to administer basic medication, and am usually able to make accommodations for any pups with special needs. If you have an adventurous dog, I enjoy hiking and would love to adventure with your pup throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest, although I am also available for shorter walks as well. During the summer I am able to take your dogs swimming or provide swimming lessons. My highest priority is the safety and care of your pet at all times. I understand how scary boarding and daycare can be for both pets and their owners and aim to minimize stress as much as possible. I will give your pup that one on one time that you can’t get at daycare or boarding. I also have done basic grooming that includes bathes, nail trims, and brush outs and can provide those services as well in-home. I have also tended to emergency situations and know basic medical emergency care if needed. Note on dog size: I cannot take on larger dogs at the time, since I do reside in an apartment currently. If your big dog prefers to lounge around and doesn’t care about the space, I can do a 10 minute meet and greet to see if we are a good fit for you and your dog. I am currently working from home and have an open availability. I will need a week's notice before boarding if you have a dog over 40lbs so that we can schedule a meet and greet with my dog. I have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with outdoor patio and currently have 1 pup of my own. Arwen is a 60lb Pyrenees mix who can play with high energy dogs, but also will lounge with any dog who likes to live life a little slower. We have walking paths by our complex, but also love to drive to any natural area trails for longer walks.
