I have been caring for a variety of animals since I was young. I grew up with dogs and participated in 4-H for 10 years, where I worked with and showed dogs, horses, and goats at the fair. I have also provided dog and cat sitting services on and off for many years, including walking, playing with, and feeding animals. My experience includes caring for a puppy under one year old, where I helped with potty training, as well as an elderly husky who required additional care and attention. While working at a zoo, I also regularly handled a variety of animals, including snakes, turtles, birds, armadillos, and more. Overall, I have experience with animals of all ages and needs, including puppy training and senior animal care.

Kristina has been my go-to sitter for several years, and my dogs have always been safe and happy in her care. She did a wonderful job caring for our large, elderly husky mix when we were out of town, and is very patient with our mischievous beagle. I appreciate the extra consideration she gives to senior dogs to ensure their health and comfort. She sends great pictures and keeps us updated on what our dogs have been up to during their visit. I would definitely recommend her!
Kristina did an absolutely amazing job caring for my Havanese when I would get held up at work or need to attend an evening event! I felt completely comfortable knowing my pupper was in such capable and caring hands. She is an awesome person, incredibly responsible, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Her extensive animal care experience from working at a Zoo and handling ambassador animals really shows, and I knew my dog was getting the best possible care. I have a large yard with 5-foot fencing surrounding the entire property. Depending on each pet’s needs, I enjoy taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood or on adventures such as a shorter hike or walk in a nearby park. My goal with every pet I care for is to make sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and leave their time with me as a positive experience. I have a lot of experience reading pets’ individual needs and understanding what helps build trust and a positive relationship, whether that means treats, playtime, quality time, patience, or simply providing a calm and comfortable space.

A typical day
Depending on each pet’s needs, I adjust the length and type of activities we do together. I enjoy taking dogs for walks at parks, on trails, or simply around the neighborhood. For higher-energy dogs, I also have access to a nearby run and bike trail and enjoy running or biking with them. During downtime, we can relax and lounge on the couch together. Depending on my schedule and the client’s comfort level, I have also taken dogs on outings to places like the coast and Trillium Lake. I also have experience caring for elderly dogs who need a comfortable, quiet space where they can relax and receive the care and attention they need.
