I used to work at a dog rescue, and I have experience with all kinds of dogs, from chihuahuas to pitbulls. I love them all. I recently lost my 16 year old rescue dog, Spike, and I miss being around animals. I’m experienced with special needs dogs, senior dogs, and with administering medication. I’d love to make your dog feel comfy and loved when you’re away. I am comfortable with your dog boarding at my house if they don’t mind being in a new environment, and I also have experience house sitting for pets who prefer their own space. When house sitting, I’m happy to grab mail, water plants, etc.

I’m happy to accommodate your pet with whatever they need so that they feel right at home when you’re gone. They’re welcome to sleep in bed with us, in their own bed or crate, or whatever you/they prefer. Let me know more about your pet’s typical routine and we’ll go from there!

Rena is a kind soul and great pet caregiver. She loves all animals. Rena has lots of experience with pets of all needs. Whenever she would see my senior dog, she gave her so much love and attention. Rena was such a caring pet sitter for our two big dogs, giving their medicine, play time and snuggles! She was very communicative, sending photo updates and timely responses, and I felt so at ease knowing she was caring for my dogs. Rena is so kind, responsible, and genuinely loves animals. When I returned to a clean home and happy dogs after vacation I knew I’d made a great decision having Rena sit for me.
Rena took such excellent care of my kitty Frankie May while I was traveling over the holidays. She went above and beyond with spending time over at my place to hang out with Frankie, and even sent me cute photo and video updates of playtime and Christmas stocking opening. I really appreciate the extra time and care Rena gave to Frankie, especially since this was Frankie's first time staying home while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Rena for taking top-tier care of your furry friends!

Schedule
I work from home the majority of the time, and my husband (who is also a huge animal lover) has flexible hours as well. Therefore, someone is typically home and able to walk/feed/play with your pet during the day. I have a fenced yard and a small doggie door as well. My schedule is very adaptable whether I’m home or staying at a client’s house.

- I’d love to do a meet and greet to get to know your pet and see if we’d be a good fit for each other. I’d also like to know what their daily routine is like, and whether they have any fears, allergies, special needs, etc. If your dog enjoys walks, it’s nice to know if they are okay meeting people and other dogs on leash or if they tend to be more reactive on leash. For cats, any information about behavior, personality, litter box, etc is helpful. For both cats and dogs, the more information about your pet the better so that I can make them feel as comfortable as possible when they’re away from you. If there are a lot of special needs (e.g. medications, strict schedules, more complex feeding routines) I request that the client provides written instructions.
