9. Ryleigh M.
About: I have had dogs my whole life and I recently moved half across the country without my sweet 4 year old pup. I would love to give my love to someone else’s best friend when they need help! I love going on walks, playing, and giving good belly rubs. I’m a grad student who usually studies from home, so I have time in my day to care for pets, take them on walks, feed them, or provide company for a few hours. More time available on weekends and overnights. I live in a very safe apartment complex. There is a fenced in dog run area if having a dog at my own home. I do not currently have pets of my own living with me. In clients homes, I will treat their places with respect and care and follow their rules for their pets.

10. AK B.
About: I grew up with two dogs, one of which lived to the ripe age of 17! I know the value of engaging playtime and walks, and am on-top of bathroom breaks and food/water timing. I have lots of experience watching small/mid-sized dogs, and am comfortable with a range of behavior temperaments. I just finished grad school and am working part-time in a lab, so pet care seemed like a great way to spend my time outside of work. My work is self-directed so I am able to pop in an out as needed for check-ins, or spend entire nights for overnight care. I commute between Charlottesville, and Richmond twice a week, so I am available in both cities or in-between. I am attentive when watching animals and make sure to give them adequate play-time. For cats, I'll sit and read a book and they'll usually cautiously come over, then we'll hang out. For home care, I am thorough about checking locks/alarm systems, and growing up in a large family, am on-top of chores and small tasks to make the space clean and welcoming.

11. Tiffany B.

“Tiffany did a great job taking care of our shy cat while we were out of town. Loved all the pictures and updates. Will plan to use her again for future pet sitting needs!”

12. Saige J.
“Saige is absolutely AMAZING! She is reliable, kind and our dog loves her! She updates us regularly and left the house spotless. Will definitely use her again.”

13. Angela Z.

“We appreciate for her smart n responsible work-! Thank you-!!”

14. Thalia L.
“Thalia Leon Rodriguez is very caring and responsible with animals and brings a lifetime of experience caring for and nursing pets. She is respectful, reliable, and excels particularly with special needs animals. She meets them where they are at, with close attention. As her aunt, I have personally seen her care for a diabetic foster cat and an elderly dog with a heart condition. The cat required daily shots and specific dietary requirements; the cat was prone to stress and had several health crises. Thalia became very in tune with his health indicators and responded swiftly when he became ill. Since childhood she has rescued dozens of animals, primarily homeless cats, back to health. She is keenly interested in biology and veterinary medicine so her respect for and interest in animals extends beyond domestic pets. I have had several dogs with health complications and would trust her with any of them in a heart beat. Your furry loved ones are in excellent hands with Thalia.”

15. Tammy D.
“Tammy would be a wonderful caregiver for any pet. I have known her for 25 years. As a pet owner herself she takes excellent care of all pets and she is a loving owner to cats and dogs. I would feel lucky if she took care of my animals. We love our pets and she would be a perfect choice for this new adventure in her career. Tammy M”

16. Peyton N.

“Peyton stepped in at the last minute and was wonderful with our fur kiddos”

17. Jolie D.

“Jolie had been great when we needed her. My dogs are problematic because they fight with eachother and need to remain separate at all times, which makes letting them out a pain. That said Jolie had no problem following the instructions we left her and the dogs were always happy to see her. Highly reccomended. Thank you!”

18. Joy G.
“Camp Joy is a happy, active, caring place where my Golden girl, Ms. Maddy loves to visit. If the weather is not "wet", trips to the forest preserve dog park allows Maddy to get wet to her heart's content. Swimming in the lake, chasing balls on the shore, running thru the fields, meeting new friends enriches her time at Camp Joy. On days that the weather is wet and perhaps a bit scary, there is huddling in the basement under the covers with resident Goldens, Ben & Quinn, and Joy, of course. She served as nurse Joy once after taking Maddy to the vet for a serious UTI when I was out of town. She treats Maddy as if she were her own pup in every way. Maddy is always happy to visit and enjoys her stay. I can leave town knowing that Maddy is living the good life at Camp Joy. And I get lots of photos verifying that fact! Camp Joy is awesome!”

19. Victoria L.

“Victoria was great with all 3 of my dogs. It tends to be a circus wrangling all 3, but she did an awesome job. Victoria is attentive to detail and great at communicating. We will definitely be booking with her again!”
