About: Hi! I am a Senior at Lake Forest College studying Psychology on a pre-nursing track. I grew up in Boise, Idaho surrounded by animals, both my own and others’. Growing up I had a high-energy dog, many hamsters, a leopard gecko, and a cat. I also spent my entire high school career volunteering at my local humane society, working with both dogs and cats. This has given me experience with dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes. Currently, I dog and cat sit regularly for a few families. You can trust me with your pets like they are my own. My friends and family would describe me as kind, passionate, caring, level-headed, reliable, and loving. I have a passion for the outdoors and am an athlete, so I love any excuse to get some exercise. I also love reading, knitting, watching shows, and studying. So, I can watch your furry friend(s) in any way they’d like! About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always felt very natural to me. My last dog was with me for 14 years, and I got to experience every stage of her life with her. I went from playing with her as a little kid to taking her on walks and eventually helping care for her as she got older. Having her alongside me for so many years made her feel like a constant part of my life, and I really grew up with her in a way that I’ll always be grateful for. My current dog has been with me for four years and was rescued from a breeding farm. When we first brought her home, she was extremely nervous and wouldn’t even leave our mudroom. It took a lot of patience and consistency for her to become comfortable, but now she sleeps in my bed and follows me everywhere. That experience taught me that every dog has a different personality and comfort level, and sometimes they just need someone willing to give them the time to adjust. Maple (Her name) has taught me so much about her, myself, and how to care for different dogs. Given that she lives at home with my mother while I’m at school, I miss her like I’d miss a sibling or parent and we both always get unbelievably excited to see eachother when I am home for breaks. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and building a relationship with them. Whether they’re energetic, shy, older, or just love attention, I like figuring out what makes each dog comfortable and happy. I think caring for pets gives me just as much joy as I give them, which is why I take it seriously and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I am a current junior at the College of Lake Forest, studying psychology and I’m as well a member of the Men’s Lacrosse team. Given that, my schedule can get fairly busy during the afternoon and early evening most days however I am very good at managing my class schedule and athletics schedule to best make time for what I need, which will be the pet. No matter what home I’m in I will provide the animal with better than proper care. Growing up with pets I’ve gained a true care for every single one of them and I can guarantee that I will provide the best environment, safety, care, and love to any pet whether it’s in my own apartment or the clients home.

About: Hi my name is Nina! I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life and over the last 2 years I’ve truly fallen in love with pet care. I am trustworthy, flexible and go above and beyond for your furry friend. Just as I would take care of my own! I’ve worked professionally as a pet sitter including drop ins, long walks and over two weeks at my clients home. Taking care of your home as much and I do your pet! About: I've been caring for dogs since I was young, starting with my neighbor's Old English Sheepdog. Today, I'm the go-to sitter my sister relies on to care for her little fluffball, whether it's for an evening away or extended vacations. I'm comfortable providing consistent, attentive care for every pet -- and following your every instruction to make sure your pet stays happy and healthy while you're away. I currently work a flexible, non-traditional schedule that includes fantasy illustration projects and teaching art classes. This gives me built-in gaps during the day that I'd love to fill with dog care, whether that means walks, playtime, or multi-day companionship. Your dog's routine and well-being are my top priorities. I make sure that your dog gets the best care possible and will follow all instructions to the letter: setting phone alarms to ensure potty breaks and meals happen right on time, monitoring treats so your dog is neither over- nor under-indulged, and sticking closely to established sleep schedules. I'm equally respectful of your home, taking care to leave it as clean and orderly (or better) than when I arrived.

About: I've taken care of my hyper active dog that likes to jump off walls for 10 years. I took care of a couple coworkers' pets (3 dogs) for weeks on end while they were on vacation. I've taken long walks with dogs no matter the weather, as long as the doggy is well prepared for the weather (ie winter coats and summer shoes). My previous dog loved sticking his head out of the car when I drive so I can drive around with your doggy if thats what they want. Taking them on nature walks will always be my favorite thing, so dogs can experience something new. I do work full time in lake forest but I thankfully have a flexible schedule, especially for lunch. I am able to take 1.5 hours for lunch so I can always swing by the house for a check in. I'm always free on weekends to give the animals the most love and care I will keep up to date on any issues that arises and be vigilant in making sure the animals don't mess up the garden or make a mess in the house. About: I have grown up with cats and currently have a 6 year old German Shepard named Jamie :) My girlfriend also has 2 cats that I love to hang out with and help take care of! I have a full time job outside of Rover, but am often at home during the day: able to do dog walks or drop ins for your pets. I have full day availability on Saturdays. Treating your pet like my own. On walks I’ll always make sure they’re on a leash, while staying alert to my surroundings, and check in for cues about tiredness/energy levels while making sure they get their activity in! At home will make sure they get all of the attention and care they need.

About: I have had the honor of having many furry best friends since childhood, such as my feisty cat, (Moning, RIP) and three guinea pigs (Mr. Wheeks, Oreo, and Bella, RIP.) I also have a long history of taking care of my friends' fur children, both cats and dogs alike. When performing drop-in visits or walks, I will make sure to immediately tend to your pets while keeping alert of the environment around me. In terms of drop-in visits, I will make sure to have your house key/code on my persons at all times and will make sure to ensure that everything was as it was left and make sure that when I leave, doors/gates are locked and secured.

About: I’ve taken care of and loved dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. From puppies/kittens to seniors and in between. And all sizes! I also have experience with special needs dogs, including my own collie who had lower jaw removal surgery. I’ve had 2 cats in this time from when they were young to seniors. About: I just graduated from UMass Amherst with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Science. I have grown up with pets and taken care of them for years! About: Hi! I'm Livia, and animals have been my whole world for as long as I can remember. Over the years my husband and I have had our own four dogs, two bunnies, and two ducks (yes, really!), so "a little bit of everything" is genuinely our specialty. We don't have any pets of our own right now, which is actually one of the best things about your furry friend staying with us. Your pet gets the run of the house with no resident animals to negotiate with, which is a huge relief for shy, anxious, or reactive dogs/cats who just need room to decompress. And there's a LOT of room. Our entire downstairs is 2,000 square feet and completely open to our guests, with dog beds tucked into every room so they can pick their favorite spot. Outside is a full fenced-in acre yard: space to run, sniff, and roll around in the grass without ever needing a trip to the park. Best of all, at least one of us is home all day, every day. Your pet is never left alone and never crated (unless you'd prefer them to be crated). We're happy handling puppies still learning the rules, seniors who need a gentler pace, medications on a schedule, and nervous pets who need someone patient. And if anything ever were to come up, we're literally a two-minute drive from three different emergency vet clinics. We're looking forward to welcoming your pet! My husband and I both work from home, which is the whole reason we're able to do this so well. There's no window where the house is empty - someone is always here, in the same room (usually being used as a pillow by one of our guests!). That means your pet's routine gets to stay your pet's routine. Whatever their feeding schedule is, we'll keep it. Meds at 7am and 7pm? Done. A dog who needs a mid-afternoon nap in a quiet room, or one who wants to be outside every hour on the hour? Also fine. We're not working around a commute, so we can build the day around them instead of the other way around. You'll get a few photos and updates a day, so you can see exactly how they're settling in. And we always do a meet-and-greet before booking, so everyone (including your pet) knows who they're staying with before the first night. Our yard is a full fenced acre behind a 6-foot privacy fence, so there's serious room to run with no gaps to squeeze through. Inside, our whole downstairs (about 2,000 square feet) is open to our guests, with dog beds in every room so they can pick their preferred spot. Cats stay upstairs in their own quiet, private bedrooms with the doors closed, completely separate from any dogs. We don't have pets of our own, so nobody's defending their territory when your pet walks in. Every booking starts with a meet-and-greet, and if we're hosting more than one family at a time, new dogs meet slowly and on leash in the yard before they're ever loose together. If any pair isn't a match, they get separated. Someone is home 24/7, so your pet is never left alone. We're comfortable with medications, senior pets who need a gentler pace, and nervous ones who need time. And we're literally a two-minute drive from three emergency vet clinics if anything ever were to come up.

About: I've spent over a decade volunteering and working with animals across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the Middle East — from cat shelters to training my own dog to service-dog level in obedience (sit, here, heel, center + more). My home is very clean, calm, and routine-based. Whether it's a dog who needs structure and adventure or a cat who needs a spotless litter box and quiet affection, I create a safe, happy, healthy environment and treat every pet like family, with daily photo updates. I’m currently a stay at home dog mom to a 4 month old puppy, I spend most of my time around the house. I also take the pup to the dog park / beach every day or every other day. I have a fenced in yard for my pup & I’ve worked her recall enough now that I don’t have to worry about her. She’s super trained inside and outside the house.

About: Something that sets me apart is that I’m a dog trainer, actively pursuing to achieve certification for professional dog trainer. I participate regularly with dog training and actively see a dog training mentor weekly. I have loved dogs since I was very little. I do a pretty good job at reading their body language and how to anticipate their next moves.I’m able to reduce the anxiety a dog might have being away from you and with a new person. I use positive reinforcement by being gentle and firm and I try to be fun and playful with the dog or puppy. I have two dogs. I actively take them out, I feed them every morning and night. I bathe when they need it. I walk them and take them to dog classes or improve any behavior issues they might have or come across. Apart from my dogs, I participle imagine dog training classes as a student and to demonstrate dog training techniques. Such as: Sitting, downing, standing, staying and walking nicely in lead, etc. Maintaining owners schedule such as feeding, walking, medications, etc. Ensuring the cleanliness of the dog and dog waste in the yard or other properties. I will actively play with the dogs to tire them out and do what I can to ensure the health and enjoyment of the dog.
