About: I’ve had dogs my whole life! I have helped friends and families take care of their fur babies for about 9 years now, from feeding, to walking, and even snuggling, I’ve always been there when they needed! I’m currently a stay at home mom to a 9 month old, so my schedule is pretty open! I love a good chance to love on people’s fur babies though! I have a fenced in yard and cozy home for fur babies! I’m home pretty much all day. Willing to accommodate to your fur babies needs and what they are used to!
About: I have had animals since I was 6, including horses, rabbits, dogs, and cats. For about 6 years, I've been dog sitting, barn sitting, and cat sitting for family friends. I've been around multiple different animals and breeds. I am currently a full time college student on break, so I have ample time to care for pets! I always enjoy meeting new people and their pets and taking some stress out of situations of having to leave behind our pets. I won't be able to care for pets in my home, but I can help with taking care of pets in my clients' homes. I ensure food and supplements are given at proper times, and I also learn my client's preferences for the pets. I'm a firm believer in getting to know the animal and their habits so nothing goes unnoticed.

About: I have always grown up around animals. I’m full of energy and so excited to met your sweet fluffy angels! No animal is to big or small. I have a completely open schedule and ready for any animal needs. I have a completely open schedule and will respond asap! Im super active and just want a fur friend to hang out with! I’m currently saving up money for a laptop for college and need all the work I can get. I have a fenced in yard that I will supervise every dog in when they’re out. I love to go on runs so plenty of exercise for you pet. If dog is friendly with other animals then I have friends who have dogs that love playdates as well.

“Monica was great! Very responsive and helpful. Marlie was shy and she was patient to get her to come around. Im very happy she was able to come by while Marlie was home alone.”

“Bayleigh is fantastic! She is genuine and reliable and just a really great person. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will absolutely be having her care for Remi again. It’s great to feel free to travel and know that Remi is well cared for. Remi loves everybody, but he really took to Bayleigh, probably because of her calm and kind manner with him.”

About: I have been in the anima care field for more than 10 years. I have personal experience in boarding, medical, and training as I have worked in a professional boarding facility that specialized in enrichment programs. I also have worked in vet clinics as an assistant for 7 years. I own a training business that specializes in obedience, puppy manners, and gun-dog training using force free and positive reinforcement methods. I make sure to offer structure and enrichment during your pups stay. I’m currently self employed and work from home. I make sure to follow the schedule of the owners as close as possible and make sure to offer daily structure and enrichment during the pets stay. I personally keep your pet in their own personal space to help them feel safe and comfortable. During potty times if they are comfortable they can interact with my personal dogs individually or altogether depending on their needs. While staying in my home they are kept on leash for any outside time to keep them safe as I don’t have a fenced in yard. Depending on the needs within a clients own home I will meet the current schedule and structure within the home.
About: I have always had a special place in my heart for all animals, especially dogs. The last several years I have dove into my love for all the different breeds by opening my home up to care for all the fur babies I can and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I have history as a vet tech and years of knowledge so things such as giving meds, special needs pets, and being able to sincerely care for animals sets me aside from others. My goal is for my home to be their vacation while they are here, with plenty of indoor/outdoor playtime, cuddles, and love. I’m hoping I’m the sitter you have been reaching for and get to meet you and your fur baby for a pet staycation!! I currently work from home so I have all the time and attention to give your pets while they are here. As I have a high energy pup we have several playtime breaks throughout the day to help him wind down and he would love it even more if he had a few friends join him. I have a fenced in yard that offers me and your pet to bond over fetch, playtime, and free roam bathroom breaks. If creating is needed, that’s no problem but we always strive for free roam so they will be as comfortable as if they were at home.
About: I have about 5 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels. I follow care instructions closely, prioritize safety and routine, and love keeping owners updated with photos and messages. Hi! I’m Marissa, a responsible and caring animal lover with over 5 years of experience caring for dogs. I’m patient, attentive, and love making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take pride in following care instructions closely. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and happy to send updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My fiancé and I have an almost 2-year-old Aussie, so I’m very familiar with daily routines, playtime, and providing a safe, loving environment for pets in our home. I work part-time and attend school at LSUE a few hours two days a week, which gives me a flexible schedule for morning, afternoon, and evening care. I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort in both my home and my client’s home. I follow all care instructions closely, keep pets in a clean and secure environment, and make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always properly secured. I respect routines and communicate immediately if anything seems off. I treat every pet and home as if they were my own.
About: My house is the vacation home for my dog nephew, age 8 and dog niece, age 6 months. I love being the fun aunt and giving special care while they can't be with their paw-rents. Can't wait to help with your fur babies. I work from home flexibly so I have plenty of time to care for your pup. My days are mine to schedule as I please so your pup will have plenty of attention. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of space for your pets to hang out. I live in a great neighborhood that has a sidewalk perfect for walks.
About: What sets me apart? My personalized approach to each pet and owner, extensive experience with a variety of pets, and my commitment to providing updates and communication throughout the pet sitting process. I also offer additional services like dog walking and home care as needed. I can tailor my care to meet your pet's specific needs. Pet care should be a part of a routine and the frequency may vary depending on the type and age of the pet. It's important to devote enough time to our pets' needs to ensure their health and happiness. Caring for pets in the home involves feeding them, providing fresh water, exercising them, cleaning up after them, and providing affection and attention. This may include administering medication and ensuring they are groomed and healthy. In a client's home, the caregiver may also be responsible for ensuring the home is secure and safe for the pet while the owner is away. Different types of pets have different needs, so the care provided will depend on the species, breed, and individual animal. I am currently working part time, so I have ample time to give your pets all the love, walks, food, and attention they may need! I can (but not limited to) feed , take for walks, play outside or at the park, crate, whatever you or your furry friend need, I can do!
“Emily was wonderful. Our pups loved being with her. She went above what we had hoped for. I think our big babies were disppointed when we came through the door & found out it wasn't Emily. We highly recommend her.”

“Nicole responded quickly to our last minute request the next day. We forgot to leave the right key out, so she contacted us via email. Once we directed her where to find our hidden key, she made another trip back so she could let our dogs out. She was great with our two min pins, they were happy to see her when she stopped by the next day to meet us as we didn’t have time before her first visit. Nicole is friendly, responsible, and takes her assignment seriously. We will definitely contact her again in the future if she is available.”

About: I have helped take care of animals for as long as I can remember. We've always had a family dog that I would help feed and walk. Once moving out on my own I got a rescue dog who is also my service dog. Since getting married to my husband we've added two Bassett hounds to our family. When visiting my parents ranch I help feed the horses, chickens, dogs and even cows. I'm an animal lover. 😁 I am a full time stay at home mom. I typically get up and start my day around 8:30/9am. Making it to walk your fur babies on time will not be an issue unless I have other commitments, but I will inform you of them if and when necessary! Watching your 4 legged friend at your house they will be be able to go about their regular day! They will get frequent potty breaks, tug of war and all the snuggles and pets! At this time I cannot take any dogs at my house over night due to renting restrictions, but they are welcome for play dates! I have three other dogs who LOVE to play. I do not have a fenced yard BUT they will be walked frequently, typically about ever 1 1/2 to 2 hours

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Lake Charles with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
