“Another great review for Audra and Austin. They came back to petsit my kitties while my husband and I were gone for the weekend and tbh I don’t want anyone else watching our babies. I trust them 100% and the kitties love them. We always return to our home the way we left it, and to happy kitties.”

“I had really enjoyed having Sierra watching my cats while I was gone. I will definitely use her again and refer to people. I know taking care of our pets is like having someone babysit our kids that you trust and believing they are being care for.”

About: I have experience caring for all kinds of pets. I am able to provide care for all different ages, a good variety of breeds I am even able to care for dogs with various health concerns/medical needs. (Blind, allergies, deaf, post surgery, anxiety, etc.) I am very big on positive affirmations and reenforcing good behavior. I love training dogs! I think it can be a lot of fun. (Right now, I’m teaching sign language to both of my dogs. Our oldest is now deaf and has separation anxiety, so we’re working on basic commands.) I work in the mornings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and, Thursdays. Typically, my lessons run from 9-12. I teach swim lessons all year and set my own schedule. I have a fenced in back yard, that is big enough for the dogs to run around and play! We’re always outside during the warmer months. As long as they have a bowl of cold water, my dogs will stay outside until they choose to come in. In my home, there is a basement. It’s not very big, but it is a nice spot to retreat to. It’s a good space to relax in as there is little outside noise that gets in. (Our laundry room is in the basement. If we run the washer or the dryer during the 4th of July, you cant even hear the fireworks going off. This is a plus, for living with dogs).

About: I I have experience pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, caring for dogs and cats of different breeds and temperaments. My responsibilities have included daily walks, feeding, cleaning litter boxes, giving medications, and providing companionship. I understand how important routine and reassurance are when owners are away. I currently work from home. So my schedule is pretty flexible! Plenty of times to go on walks and playtime! With advanced notice I am very accommodating to meet your needs. I provide loving, reliable care whether pets stay in my home or I care for them in theirs. My top priorities are safety, trust, and maintaining a calm, comfortable environment. I always follow each pet’s routine closely — including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions — to help them feel secure and stress-free.
About: Well who doesn’t love dogs lol. My experience comes from having a family dog, being on Rover now, and watching friends’ dogs. In the past, I helped a friend with their Rover pet sitting, which is how I became familiar with the app. Willing to do potty breaks in the morning, lunch, after work, and before bed! I primarily do boarding at my place but am still available for drop ins. However, it would make it easier if your home is nearby. Always down to give some pets and go on walks. I would prefer to spend some time with your dog versus leave immediately after feeding or letting them out. I’d feel most comfortable if we could meet before hand.
“Crystal was so wonderful! Very friendly, trustworthy, and accommodating. She looked after our cats while we were gone for over a week. She always sent pictures and gave us detailed updates on how they were doing. She even went out of her way to vacuum up their fur & litter. Crystal will definitely be out first-choice sitter in the area for future needs!”

“She’s is great with our two dogs even though they are crazy! She is very good at communicating and giving updates. She was willing to meet with us beforehand so we felt comfortable. Really wonderful and will definitely use her again for future trips. Our dogs love her!!”

“Izzy took such great care of our cats while we were gone for a month. We were stressed about them not getting enough attention while we were gone, but she went out of her way to make sure we knew they were being loved. We’ll definitely be hiring her again!”

About: I grew up with cats and just got a puppy. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and care for both their dogs and cats. I currently work 3days a week at the hospital with different days off every week. Every week is a little different but if I’m off I’m available! I am also available on most weekends! I currently do not offer boarding in my own home as I have a brand new puppy but I’d love to come check up on your fur baby!
About: I have experience caring for many kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and ferrets. I’d love to care for your pet with a drop-in visit if you’re out for the day. I treat every fur baby as if they were my own. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been pet sitting for friends for many years. I truly love all animals and will make sure your pet gets plenty of love and attention, along with fresh food, snacks, and clean water. And yes — I even take care of the litter box! I am available to drop in and check on your cat Fri evenings, and pretty much when you need on Sat/Sun. I like to plan ahead, so earlier bookings are great but I understand some times you may need someone last minute, and that’s ok too! I am scheduling for drop ins to check on and care for your cats or kittens. I will feed, and give fresh water, change the litter box and give your cat some love and attention.
“Thank you for taking care of our finicky crew. Great pictures of the cats sent every day. Balanced letting the cats have autonomy with interacting with them. Will rebook!”

“Olivea was fantastic! We felt good knowing our kitty was being taken care of by her. She sent pics, gave him treats and love and kept in communication with us while we were out of town. Would definitely hire her again!!”

About: Hi, I'm Calysta! I'm currently a student at UNL in the fisheries and wildlife program with an emphasis in zoo animal care. To say the least, I am obsessed with all animals! I am a part-time zookeeper in Omaha this summer and have previous work experience with dogs as a Kennel Tech at a doggy day care and boarding business. I also have some volunteer dog walking experience at my local humane society. My whole life, I have had dogs and cats and have taken care of beloved pets of friends and family! I am currently a part-time zookeeper in Omaha for three days a week, 7-4 pm, but other than that, my week is completely free to spend time with your amazing furry friends in any way that you may need! From my experience as a kennel tech and my lifelong experience with pets, I am very comfortable operating any pet-related equipment, feeding, administering medication, and handling whatever else you may need me to do in your household!

Megan is amazing ! So sad to say this is our last visit due to relocation. Megan was the first pet sitter we met off rover I was hesitant even getting the app but after meeting her she’s the only person we’ve trusted watching our pets when we go out of town ! She’s truly the best. She cares about the pets like there her own ! She’s easy to work with very accommodating and overall just a very down to earth person. We’re sad to see her go but I know she’s going to be great whoever gets to have her next !! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this girl she deserves it ! Thanks for everything !!

Gabrielle was an excellent pet care provider. She took care of our two dogs while we were on vacation. She came to our home twice a day to let them in and out. She’s very reliable, and consistent. It was so good to have her checking in on the dogs. We will definitely use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in La Vista with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
