“Brandon is very kind and patient with my Yorkie! He is so flexible with his schedule ti meet the needs of you and your pet! He does his drop-ins in the middle of the night for me! He will be a blessing to you as he is for me and my dog :)”

About: I love animals and now that I live in an apartment, I miss having a pet! There are plenty of dogs roaming around the building, and I say hi to every one of them. I would love to hang out with your cat or dog! I’m a 39 year old mom and preschool teacher, so caring for littles comes natural to me. I have plenty of experience both in pet sitting and in life! If this tells you anything, when I’m at a party, you can find me with the pets. Pick me to check on your fur babies! I am a stay at home parent with an in-home preschool. The preschool is open Tuesday-Friday mornings, and my kid has childcare Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, so those afternoons are free for me. Pets tend to love me and I’m patient with those animals that are shy. I am very excited to hang out with some cats and dogs in my free time!
“Allison is fantastic! Thoughtful, attentive, and does what's best for you and your pets. She put up with a lot of unforseen issues from my end and helped with things I forgot to do before leaving. Wonderful sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Like most dog moms, I felt nervous leaving Blue alone for the first time (he has some anxiety). We usually travel with him, but were unable to do so this trip. Mary was so kind and understanding! She sent pictures, detailed feedback, and even left us a little gift. Blue seems happy and adjusted well to Mary. He's usually skittish after trips, but not this time! We will definitely use Mary again in the future!”

“Morgan was able to cover a last minute trip for us. She responded immediately after our inquiry and made a meet and greet meeting with our animals. She was very professional and always gave us updates on the animals when she stopped by our home.”

“Alex is a rockstar. Teddy has an absolute blast with her!!!!! I can tell by the photos she takes of him (cause she’s also an incredible photographer!) I needed her last minute and she was available. Very grateful!”

“So glad we found Linda and was nice meeting her. I feel I could totally trust her staying in our home overnights too. Our boxer Myka is usually Leary of new people in our house. Takes her a while to go to them. But she literally ran up to her and was all over her wanting to play. Guess dogs really do have instinct on who are comfortable with them & love them. I forgot to get more toys & balls for them to play with though . Oops.”

“Olivea was fantastic! We felt good knowing our kitty was being taken care of by her. She sent pics, gave him treats and love and kept in communication with us while we were out of town. Would definitely hire her again!!”

About: I have my own reactive dog I’ve learned so much about. In the 8 years we’ve had him, we have been able to watch his growth, and my own, as we’ve learned what his needs are. I have successfully brought a puppy into our home and trained him alongside our older, reactive dog. I understand the need for love and patience. I am a teacher in the Papillion district and would love to be involved in the community. I love animals, being outside, and creating relationships with new people. I am open during the summer and nights and weekend when school starts back up! I am experienced with my own reactive dog. I have learned so much about walking, crate training, and overall daily mental health stimulation for him. I understand the balance of love and support for animals who need extra care and attention.
About: Having a border collie as a family dog, I’m very knowledgeable in the importance of enrichment for certain breeds. Having just lost our family dog, I know very well the impact our pets have, they’re family and not just pets. I am currently self employed as an licensed esthetician and nail technician. I can make time when needed almost always. Let me know what you need and I'll be happy to deliver! I am very familiar with kenneling, big on environmental safety checks, as we know it only takes a few seconds or a minute for something to go unseen!
“Emma did a great job taking care of my two kitties, very reliable & always keeping me updated and sending pictures! I definitely felt comfortable leaving them in her care. I’d definitely book with her again!”

“Audra responded to my text messages within minutes and took great care of Tiger, our orange tabby cat. When we got home from vacation, Tiger was happy to see us, but relaxed and not giving us the "where have you been" look, which speaks to excellent care.”

About: I have experience caring for many kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and ferrets. I’d love to care for your pet with a drop-in visit if you’re out for the day. I treat every fur baby as if they were my own. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been pet sitting for friends for many years. I truly love all animals and will make sure your pet gets plenty of love and attention, along with fresh food, snacks, and clean water. And yes — I even take care of the litter box! I am available to drop in and check on your cat Fri evenings, and pretty much when you need on Sat/Sun. I like to plan ahead, so earlier bookings are great but I understand some times you may need someone last minute, and that’s ok too! I am scheduling for drop ins to check on and care for your cats or kittens. I will feed, and give fresh water, change the litter box and give your cat some love and attention.
“This was our first time using a service like. We had Sarah check on our kitties while we were on vacation. She was great! She sent us updates and pictures each visit telling us how kitties were doing and eating. I know we will be using her again in the future. Thanks so much Sarah!”

Ashley and her son Grayson were absolutely wonderful! They took care of my cat Binx for a week and did a fabulous job. Grayson played with Binx twice a day, which I know my mom appreciated Binx being worn out LOL...and Ashley went above and beyond by helping my mom with some stuff as well while here. I can't say enough good things about them. I would definitely use them again :-)

Megan is amazing ! So sad to say this is our last visit due to relocation. Megan was the first pet sitter we met off rover I was hesitant even getting the app but after meeting her she’s the only person we’ve trusted watching our pets when we go out of town ! She’s truly the best. She cares about the pets like there her own ! She’s easy to work with very accommodating and overall just a very down to earth person. We’re sad to see her go but I know she’s going to be great whoever gets to have her next !! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this girl she deserves it ! Thanks for everything !!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in La Vista. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
