“Abigail was a Godsend! We are regular pet sitters ourselves but never needed a sitter. This time we were going away for 8 days and no one could help watch our cat. Out of desperation, I downloaded the Rover app two days before we were leaving, not sure what I needed. Abby’s profile was one of about 10 that popped up quickly. I thought I might just want drop-in service so was fine with her not having a lot of reviews. She was the first and only one we met with. She was quick to respond, flexible and amiable. She also had a desire to work with animals (and current doors). When we met, she brought her sister for safety (also a sweet girl!) and we discussed our needs. We didn’t know what we wanted but decided to ask her to sleep at the house. She was fine with it. While we were gone, she sent pictures and played with other cat a lot. She gave off great vibes so we trusted her easily. We felt our precious kitty, who can be standoffish at times, was well-loved and cared for. We needed an emergency night at the end because our flight canceled. She, again, obliged. Thankfully! About: I have had pets in my life and home for as long as I can remember. I take great pride and joy in caring for both my own pets as well as those of family and friends! I am comfortable with furry friends of all sizes and ages, and even with animal companions that may be feathered or scaled! Walking 10,000 steps a day is a must for me, and I’d love to take your pet with me! I currently work full time on weekdays from 8AM to 4:30 PM, but am very flexible outside of those hours! I enjoy taking three mile walks and would love to bring your pet along for any length of walk! I do not offer pet care in my home, but I will always strive to treat your home and pet(s) as if they were my own. Whether is treats, cuddles, brushes, walks, fetch or otherwise, I promise to not only meet, but exceed your pet’s needs! Part of my life philosophy is to always leave a space as good or better than I found it! I am a certified poop picker upper and litter scooper! Need plants watered? I can help with that too!

I am thrilled with the care my very old, very sick cat received from Shay while I was away. My 18 year old cat ended up at the emergency vet just one day before our trip and up until the minute I left town I was messaging Shay with new updates, new medication plans, etc. and she never once made me worry or feel like it was too much. My cat was on 5 different pills/liquids on some of those days and Shay was so flexible and accommodating. I came back to a healthy, loved cat. I would definitely hire Shay again.
I found sweet Darcy on Rover, based on our zip code! After I had read her Bio, I noticed she has a Ragdoll kitten! We own 3 Ragdolls and I just knew she was a perfect fit!
