About: Hello fellow pet lovers. After years of experience caring for a variety of dogs and cats, I understand how unique each one is. It generally takes a few days to get to know their personality, quirks and preferences and to bond with them. The bonding and earning their trust is something I really enjoy. Some love Belly rubs, some love being chased, some are super independent, and some want lots of cuddle time. They all appreciate vocal communication about what's happening and it seems to speed up the bonding time. I find it helpful to communicate with you about your routines and habits with your animals so I can keep them feeling as calm and cared for as possible while you're away. Please see my Trusted Housesitters profile for more reviews. Just search Bend, Oregon and you will find me under my preferred name Hamsa. My legal name is Trista. My daily routine is taking a morning and/or afternoon hike and I'd love to bring your pup along. I'm also available for drop in visits if your precious one just needs some love and attention. I work part time from home as an evolutionary astrologer. I am quite a homebody although I like to take an outing or 2 each day to go hiking and exploring. Taking care of my own body/mind and staying calm, healthy and centered is a big focus during these wild times. Animals are my angels and medicine as they bring me so much joy and fulfillment. I love this job!

“Eleanor's love of animals is pure and was evident in the way that she cared for my old man. I could immediately tell that they were going to enjoy their time together - and their pictures were clear evidence of! I even saved a couple because they were so cute. Thank you thank you Eleanor - can't wait to have you back!!”

About: I grew up in a loving, multi-pet household that included dogs, cats, ducks, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, and fish—so animal care has always been a big part of my life. I also have hands-on experience caring for chickens. Whether it’s feeding, grooming, or simply spending quality time with animals, I’m comfortable and confident with a wide range of species and personalities. I treat every pet like family and understand that each one has unique needs and quirks. I’m currently building my own business as a licensed esthetician and also work part-time, but with summer around the corner, I’m looking for a fun and fulfilling side job—and what better way than spending time with pets! I work 8 hour shifts Wednesday-Friday and then Sunday-Tuesday I may have a couple clients here and there but it wouldn’t be more than a few hours I am gone. In my home, pets are treated like family. I prioritize creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where animals feel comfortable and cared for. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, whether it’s feeding, walks, or playtime. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they’re happy and relaxed. Trust and respect are at the heart of how I care for every animal—I believe in patience, positive reinforcement, and lots of affection.

“Taunya helped my fiancé and I in a pinch when we needed our dog walked while we skied. She was communicative, prompt and sent photos even though it was only a 30 min walk! I really appreciated knowing how our baby was doing while we were out for the day. If you need someone to care for your pup in Bend, definitely recommend Taunya!”

About: I watch dogs, cats, and exotics! If you have exotics needing boarding please contact me and we can discuss! I’m a veteran that has a HUGE love for animals and I spend most of my time home with my fur babies or out and about with them. I have taken care of animals of all kinds my whole life, including exotics! I grew up raising and educating others on hedgehogs, sugar gliders, rabbits, and more. I still currently raise rabbits and have two pet hedgehogs. I have three dogs of my own right now. There are two fixed male French Bulldogs that are indoors/outdoors. I also have a Great Dane puppy. None of the boarded fur babies will have close interactions with ours for safety reasons. I grew up around giant dogs so animals of all sizes are amazing to me! I have experience in everything except grooming (I do baths and nails though!). I always have extra dog things from toys, bowls, kennels, food, (etc) to basic first aid supplies to accommodate everyone! I know just how stressful it can be to have a trip planned or run across an emergency and need a quick placement for your fur baby! Every animal is different and whether that means you have a reactive or super shy baby don’t that stop you from sending me a message! Everyone deserves time away for a bit and knowing their babies are well loved for while you’re away 🐾❤️ I have a huge love for animals and I’m always looking forward to helping the communities surrounding me! I just need food supplied as I believe in keeping diet constant. Everything else can totally be on me! Dogs are welcome to any part of the house and all the animal things we have around! I even have kennels of all sizes if needed. I’m willing to give any type of medication as well. I will also watch anxious/high anxiety pets (I understand the struggle!). Always flexible! Our yard is almost fully fenced but we keep all our boarded babies on secure leashes just to be safe when we’re outside. I can provide walks/hikes as needed. Everything is and always stays secured.

She rescued her current chihuahua (Spike) and through a lot of love (and some dental work) taught him how to trust, snuggle, and live a happy healthy life. As a yoga teacher and healer, Morgan is great at reading and understanding other's needs. She is trustworthy and compassionate.
