“Venessa was nothing short of amazing. We last minute needed someone to stay with our dogs for a day while we were at work and she answered the call! I was sent pictures of my 3 fur babies all day with constant updates and communication. I will without a doubt be calling on Venessa again when we need someone to stay with the dogs.”
“Susan is an exceptional dog sitter, and I can't recommend her highly enough! When I found myself needing a sitter on very short notice, she was a lifesaver. Not only did she agree to watch my two dogs, but she did so with a level of care and professionalism that completely put my mind at ease. She seamlessly integrated into my dogs established routines, ensuring they got their regular walks and daily trips to the dog park. Throughout my time away, she sent me frequent pictures and updates, which I truly appreciated. It was clear from her messages and the photos that my dogs were happy, safe, and well cared for. What stands out most is the personal connection she made with them. She didn't just watch my dogs, she cuddled with them and made them feel loved. When I returned home, they were both completely relaxed and content, which reflected the comfortable and happy environment she created for them. If you're looking for a dog sitter who is reliable, loving, and will treat your pets like her own, Susan is the perfect choice!”

“We feel such at ease when Renata is watching our little guys. We know they’re happy and well taken care of. She left our place nicer than we left it. Always appreciate her care attention and communication. Thanks again :)”

“Knowing we can trust her with our babies means the world to us! She’s incredibly communicative, which we really appreciate. We will be booking her again and again and again if she will have us.”

“When we get home from a trip, we can hardly tell Malissa was even here. House looks just as it was left and animals all well taken care of. You can tell how much she loves them.”

“My pup Ruby can be very particular about people, but once she likes you she remembers you forever. Catherine watched Ruby for the first time several months ago, but Ruby remembered her like no time had passed. I know she takes great care of Ruby and I’ll definitely have her back!”

“Lena was amazing! Really good with communication and updates while we were away. Our pup had a blast and it was super easy to work with Lena through the entire trip. Will definitely book with her in the future.”

“Amber is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter whom I strongly recommend! I travel internationally for work, and she takes great care of my two cats while I'm gone. Its a great feeling to not worry about my cats and know that you have someone you can trust 100% back home! Amber is very responsive, asks questions, and proactive in regards to my cats wellbeing/safety! She also provides me with timely updates/photos of my cats so I dont miss them too much! Also, what I really appreciate, coming home to a clean/tidy house, exactly how I left it, and happy cats with full bellys :) I cant begin to say enough wonderful things about Amber and very grateful for her help! 100% recommend!!! Thank you Amber !”

“Marie was amazing!!! I am such a helicopter fur mama but I was quickly assured they were in great hands. Thorough communication, lovely updates, and my pups + kitty were as happy as can be when I came home. Will definitely be reaching out again in the future! Thank you so much Marie! 🙌 Moose, Evie, & Mazzy miss you already! ☺️🐾”

“We had a great experience with Veyonce. She was flexible when we needed to reschedule our meet & greet, great with our dog, and asked good questions. She was also friendly, sent plenty of pictures, and left the place very clean at the end of her stay. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Lily did a brief House/Cat Sit for us to introduce her services. She went over our instructions list thoroughly, to understand our Cat's routine and personality; wasn't overbearing in her approach and made small attempts to engage. She was respectful of our home, is intelligent and is easy to communicate with.”

“I cannot tell y’all how much I love these two- the absolute BEST! They’ve taken care of my Frenchie too many times to count and every time I come back from a trip my house looks better than I left it and my pup’s had the time of his life.”

“James did a great job pet and house sitting for us while we were away for the holidays. He communicated clearly and responded quickly. Our dogs were taken care of and happy! Our house was also very tidy and clean when we returned. James is responsible and it helped us feel at ease while we were away. Thanks again, James!”

“Kris did a wonderful job dogsitting my 2 corgis and was very respectful of my house. This was a last minute reservation and he was prompt in responding and scheduling a greet in time of the reservation. I would recommend him and will schedule again.”

About: I love dogs, am very active, and have been dog sitting for about 11 years now. I work from home so have a flexible schedule to give your dog lots of pets, and to take them on long walks throughout the day! I enjoy the outdoors and can do lots of walks / runs/ hikes for more high energy dogs. For lower energy or older dogs I am happy to stay home with them as well. I work full time remote, so will be home with your dog all day to give them lots of pets! I have 2 hours of scheduled breaks throughout the day as well so can take them on nice long walks if needed :) For house sitting mon-fri: I would need to work remotely from your home on my computer if I am staying at your house with the dogs, and for my job need reliable wifi (20mbps or more). I also do need to request the alternate location from my work in advance. I am always very cautious to follow all owner instructions, and care a lot about dog safety. Please let me know about your dog's diet, friendliness, activity levels, and anything else that would be good to know. I have 2 housemates who also love dogs!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Knapp Landing
Emma is so kind and friendly - listened greatly to the needs of our dogs and took amazing care of them! One pup surprised us with an ear infection before we had to leave and she was able to give the medicine to them during the stay. She was super flexible and able to stay later than expected due to my flight delays which took a lot of stress off! I can’t say thank you enough!! Would 100% reach out again if I need a sitter in the future! Very trust worthy!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 4,479 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Knapp Landing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Knapp Landing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Knapp Landing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Knapp Landing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Knapp Landing. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
