I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about Marie!! We’ve used multiple sitters on Rover before, and she is in a league of her own. She went so far above and beyond—sending tons of photos and videos, keeping our home spotless, and even helping set up a water fountain and troubleshoot our cats’ picky eating habits. It’s clear she genuinely cares. Most importantly, she loved our cats like they were her own, and that meant everything to us. She was truly an angel and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her. We will absolutely be using her again—she deserves every bit of recognition! Thank you so much Marie!!

It was a pleasure having Deborah sit with our 14 year old pup Dexter. Deborah quickly responded to our initial inquiry and met with Dex and I shortly afterwards. She communicated the day before her scheduled sit and arrived promptly at an agreed upon time. She asked all the appropriate questions about feeding, Dexter's daily routine, and what she could do to keep him comfortable during our absence. Deborah communicated during her sit to let us know that all was well. We returned to a happy dog and a tidy house. Would recommend Deborah and we will be using her services again.

About: I have a great passion for animals. I have grown up around cats, dogs, horses, and cows. I am well-trained in taking exceptional care of animals and maintaining cleanliness as we go about our day! I would love to meet your fur babies❤️ Pet care is a daily occurrence for me. I am careful to make sure my own pets are well-fed, well exercised, and getting plenty of love! I'm happy to abide by any rules the owner gives me in their home or in my home. My apartment is too small to care for large dogs as I also have two cats; my only request is that is acommidable!

Jamie is an outstanding pet and house sitter. She communicated daily and sent pics of my 6mo bernedoodle. He is still a handful and she didn’t seem phased by this. My house was as I left it - and cleaner! She is a responsible and kind person. I will hire her again.

About: I have deep care for the animals we get to live with and I take this joyous role very seriously. I’ve been a dog mom myself and it would always bring me some anxiety to leave him with a new sitter. I’m here to answer any questions and meet your pup(s) to make sure that everyone feels comfortable. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages — from energetic puppies learning the ropes, to senior dogs who need a gentler pace and extra patience. I’m comfortable with specific care needs such as administering medications, following special feeding routines, and giving extra attention to pets with health concerns. I’m self-employed and split my time between working from home and from my office. My schedule is flexible most days, which means I can usually adjust my day to fit your dog’s needs — whether that’s morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or evening playtime. I make sure pets aren’t left waiting too long and always work around their normal routines so they stay comfortable and happy. I take care of pets right in their own homes, where everything smells familiar and feels safe. I’ve found that staying in their own space helps them relax so much more while you’re away. I really try to keep things feeling “normal” for them — same routines, same little habits, same comforts. I’ll follow your instructions closely so your pet’s day feels as similar as possible to having you home. I pay attention when we go on walks — checking leashes, making sure doors and gates are secure, and watching for anything that might make your pup uncomfortable. I’m more than happy to slow down if your pet needs a little extra care. Whether that’s meds, quiet time, or lots of cuddles, I meet them where they are and give them plenty of patience and love. I treat your home with care and respect, and I’ll care for your pet like they’re my own. I want you to be able to relax, knowing they’re safe, comfortable, and so well loved while you’re away.

About: Having grown up with both a Chihuahua and Australian Cattle Dogs, I am well-versed in dogs that need high-energy play time versus those that just need to get their zoomies out! I have taken care of senior dogs, including a miniature poodle and a long-haired Chihuahua. I am an animal lover who has to pet any dog or cat I see and have a genuine interest in caring for and loving your special furry friend 🐾 I am currently in-between jobs as I am studying for my LSAT for law school so my schedule is very flexible right now! I have a car and am able to drive so that is not a problem. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I am very aware that I am a guest in the home and act accordingly. These days, privacy is important and I pride myself on protecting that for the client in addition to caring for the pet(s). When interacting with pet(s), I like to go at their pace in their home, respecting their boundaries, and gaining their trust. I am able to handle shy pets and wait for them to warm up as well as handle the rambunctious love bugs that want to snuggle!

About: Dogs are life. I've raised and trained several puppies, healed sick dogs with herbs and cared generally for dogs my entire life. I actually became an herbalist because I started healing dogs first. I live and work at home so I currently have all the time in the world to pamper, hike with and love up your pups. I have a fenced yard in the back and a whole 5 acres of roaming land and a doggo to keep your company and show em the lay of the land.

Malissa was great at house sitting for our 3 dogs. She was very active with the dogs in the yard. We were out of service range for much of our trip but when we could get updates there were always pictures of the dogs and the cat looking very content. She took care of my indoor and outdoor plants in the scorching July heat. The house was tidy and a pleasure to return home. I would absolutely recommend her to family and friends.

About: Hi there! My name is Shannon.. I live in PDX now but I grew up on a lot of property in the country taking in stray cats and dogs and rehabilitating them and finding them forever homes! In the past have worked for a couple different companies providing walking, boarding, feeding, and playing with cats and dogs as well as drop ins while they were away. I also do a lot of dog sitting for friends and family. My most recent experience has been taking care of a two senior dogs when their owners are traveling. Mainly walks, feeding, and offering them lots of love and cuddles! I also do dog care for a client of mine on a weekly basis .. walks, baths, drop in visits. For work I’m a licensed massage therapist and caregiver so I dabble in various things but I genuinely enjoy taking care of and helping others. People call me an animal whisperer! I can provide daily walks, visits, house and pet-sitting and administration of medication. I offer impeccable and loving care. I have to pass very extensive background checks to be an LMT and Caregiver if that gives you peace of mind! Thank you and I look forward to meeting you and your fur kids!

About: I recently restarted providing pet services. Most of my experience is with small and medium dogs, especially seniors who need a little extra patience and gentle care. I’ve cared for multiple dogs at once, provided daily walks, and made sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. While I don’t have direct experience with cats yet, I’m very open to learning and eager to provide them with the same level of care. I’m also new to house sitting, but I’m highly responsible, follow directions carefully, and will always treat your home with the same respect and care I give my own. I do have a full time hybrid job, we can discuss a schedule if needed. I do come with a little senior, blind sidekick. He is very mild manner and chill but can not be left alone and therefore, we are a package deal. If this works for you please reach out. Familiarize myself with your home, your pets needs any instructions left and ask questions if I’m not sure, So I can provide the best care.

About: Before the days of Rover, I had makeshift a dog-sitting and walking business that I created in Ashland, Oregon while attending Southern Oregon University. The business was successful, but I moved back home to Portland to attend PSU. I have since earned a degree in Psychology and have been working in the mental health field at Providence hospital. In my free time I have been an intermittent pet-sitter for family, friends, and second-degree connections. My services include hiking and day trips in the convertible (roof down if permitted!), helping your pet feel comfortable and content while you're away. I have a kitty along with a long history of taking care of my own pets. I have experience caring for puppies, kittens, senior pets, and pets with special needs. I am comfortable caring for multiple pets in a home and have experience caring for up to 4 pets at a time. I am in a transition period while I get ready to attend a Clinical Psychology doctoral program next Fall. My days are open and dedicated to your fur baby. I am attentive and present while your pet is in my care. They become my priority. I have repeat clients who I do overnight stays for. I build trust with my clients through reliable services provided. I follow instructions well and actively communicate with clients as-needed. I build trust with your pets by providing a safe place for them to have companionship or alone time. I take the time to learn how your pet communicates so that they feel cared for.

About: I grew up on a farm and helped take care of a variety of animals. I've seen a lot and know how to handle an emergency if it comes up. Most of my experience is with dogs, cats and birds. I have cared for: small, medium and large dog breeds including ones labeled as "aggressive" (German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Dobermans, etc). The cats I have cared for have been house and barn cats and most were American Shorthair. Other animals I have cared for: variety of doves, variety of parrots both small and large (both seed and nectar feeding), helped rehab a crow once, mini horses, llamas, sheep, goats, cows, chickens, peacocks, pheasants, iguana, snakes, rabbits, mice, hamsters, fish, eels, and frogs. Property Maintenance: I love gardens and have helped with basic maintenance tasks and harvesting. I can assist with weeding, watering, etc. I can help harvest flowers for arrangement or drying. I can also help with harvesting produce and process it for long term storage if needed. I use to be a home owner, so I can do basic home maintenance such as changing air filters, yard work, collecting mail, answering calls, etc. I have rented and traveled a fair bit too. I can also do daily cleaning, laundry, etc. Specialty Skills: Some of the dogs and cats I cared for had medication requirements that I needed to attend to and be mindful of. I have limited experience with senior animals but I do have some. Twister lived to be very old for a Jack Russel and experienced seizures later in her life. She lived on for many years still and even survived a broken pelvis from being hit by a car. I helped her rehab during that period of time too. I know how to apply flea/tick medication, and administer pill medication to dogs and cats. The birds I raised did have parasites once. I was able to identify the problem and take them to the vet for treatment. Since a lot of animals I have cared for were outside animals, I also know how to tend wounds and dress them. I have an eye for spotting issues and unusual behavior to quickly get the help the animals needs. Booked for May, & June. Headed to coast of OR for early July! Reach out to me before I fill up! I'm an artist and project manager. I work remotely and currently focused on my art business. I am searching for places of inspiration and maybe fall in love with a town I can one day call my home. I know I want to move, but I'm not sure what's next. This is my chance to explore that. For any animal I'm taking care of I need to know their daily schedule and any rules they need to follow. Any behavior issues or sensitivities or fears would be great to know as well. Knowing this will help me keep your pets on routine, calm and happy.

About: I have had experience with many different types of breeds and ages. I have seen it all! I have grown up with dogs and have experience with rescue/ shelter pups. Fun fact: I have leash-trained all of our family dogs ranging from 11-70lbs, assisted in potty training, and in January 2025 I began working as a part-time veterinary assistant! Since about age 17, I have volunteered at my local dog shelter in my spare time and helped friends and family bathe, feed, and walk their pets! I have a sweet spot for senior dogs; I have one of my own (Oreo) who is very spoiled with love and treats! My weekend availability is very open. On weekdays Mondays-Fridays it varies, since I do work in healthcare. I am available before 8am and after 5pm weekdays, but feel free to ask for specific availability if you need a pet sitter/drop in visits, as I can be flexible sometimes! I look forward to meeting you and your pet! :) I always make sure to prioritize the safety and comfort of your pet. Your pet will be supervised and if there is anything specific your pet or you need from me, please do not hesitate to ask. My job is to provide the best experience for you and your pet. As a pet parent myself, I know it can be difficult to leave your fur baby under the care of another person, and I dedicate myself to making you feel at ease knowing your canine or feline will be well taken care of! I like to know as much information about each pet to create a loving, safe, and trusting environment for each furry friend.
