About: Having grown up with both a Chihuahua and Australian Cattle Dogs, I am well-versed in dogs that need high-energy play time versus those that just need to get their zoomies out! I have taken care of senior dogs, including a miniature poodle and a long-haired Chihuahua. I am an animal lover who has to pet any dog or cat I see and have a genuine interest in caring for and loving your special furry friend 🐾 I am currently in-between jobs as I am studying for my LSAT for law school so my schedule is very flexible right now! I have a car and am able to drive so that is not a problem. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I am very aware that I am a guest in the home and act accordingly. About: Dogs are life. I've raised and trained several puppies, healed sick dogs with herbs and cared generally for dogs my entire life. I actually became an herbalist because I started healing dogs first. I live and work at home so I currently have all the time in the world to pamper, hike with and love up your pups. I have a fenced yard in the back and a whole 5 acres of roaming land and a doggo to keep your company and show em the lay of the land.

About: Hi there! My name is Shannon.. I live in PDX now but I grew up on a lot of property in the country taking in stray cats and dogs and rehabilitating them and finding them forever homes! In the past have worked for a couple different companies providing walking, boarding, feeding, and playing with cats and dogs as well as drop ins while they were away. I also do a lot of dog sitting for friends and family. My most recent experience has been taking care of a two senior dogs when their owners are traveling. Mainly walks, feeding, and offering them lots of love and cuddles! I also do dog care for a client of mine on a weekly basis .. walks, baths, drop in visits. For work I’m a licensed massage therapist and caregiver so I dabble in various things but I genuinely enjoy taking care of and helping others. People call me an animal whisperer! About: I recently restarted providing pet services. Most of my experience is with small and medium dogs, especially seniors who need a little extra patience and gentle care. I’ve cared for multiple dogs at once, provided daily walks, and made sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. About: Before the days of Rover, I had makeshift a dog-sitting and walking business that I created in Ashland, Oregon while attending Southern Oregon University. The business was successful, but I moved back home to Portland to attend PSU. I have since earned a degree in Psychology and have been working in the mental health field at Providence hospital. In my free time I have been an intermittent pet-sitter for family, friends, and second-degree connections. About: I grew up on a farm and helped take care of a variety of animals. I've seen a lot and know how to handle an emergency if it comes up. Most of my experience is with dogs, cats and birds. I have cared for: small, medium and large dog breeds including ones labeled as "aggressive" (German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Dobermans, etc). The cats I have cared for have been house and barn cats and most were American Shorthair. Other animals I have cared for: variety of doves, variety of parrots both small and large (both seed and nectar feeding), helped rehab a crow once, mini horses, llamas, sheep, goats, cows, chickens, peacocks, pheasants, iguana, snakes, rabbits, mice, hamsters, fish, eels, and frogs. Property Maintenance: I love gardens and have helped with basic maintenance tasks and harvesting. I can assist with weeding, watering, etc. I can help harvest flowers for arrangement or drying. I can also help with harvesting produce and process it for long term storage if needed. I use to be a home owner, so I can do basic home maintenance such as changing air filters, yard work, collecting mail, answering calls, etc. I have rented and traveled a fair bit too. I can also do daily cleaning, laundry, etc. Specialty Skills: Some of the dogs and cats I cared for had medication requirements that I needed to attend to and be mindful of. I have limited experience with senior animals but I do have some. Twister lived to be very old for a Jack Russel and experienced seizures later in her life. She lived on for many years still and even survived a broken pelvis from being hit by a car. I helped her rehab during that period of time too. I know how to apply flea/tick medication, and administer pill medication to dogs and cats. The birds I raised did have parasites once. I was able to identify the problem and take them to the vet for treatment. Since a lot of animals I have cared for were outside animals, I also know how to tend wounds and dress them. I have an eye for spotting issues and unusual behavior to quickly get the help the animals needs. Booked for May, & June. Headed to coast of OR for early July! Reach out to me before I fill up! About: I have had experience with many different types of breeds and ages. I have seen it all! I have grown up with dogs and have experience with rescue/ shelter pups. Fun fact: I have leash-trained all of our family dogs ranging from 11-70lbs, assisted in potty training, and in January 2025 I began working as a part-time veterinary assistant! Since about age 17, I have volunteered at my local dog shelter in my spare time and helped friends and family bathe, feed, and walk their pets! I have a sweet spot for senior dogs; I have one of my own (Oreo) who is very spoiled with love and treats! My weekend availability is very open. On weekdays Mondays-Fridays it varies, since I do work in healthcare. I am available before 8am and after 5pm weekdays, but feel free to ask for specific availability if you need a pet sitter/drop in visits, as I can be flexible sometimes!
