“We had a last-minute opportunity to see our son-in-law perform at The Watershed Festival. We knew it would be a VERY long day and wanted our babies to have more than the occasional visit from our neighbor. Shell responded very quickly to our request. After a meet-greet, we all agreed that it was a good fit for everyone. Shell accommodated our need for a very early drop off and a very late pick up. Her home was quiet and welcoming, ensuring a smooth transition. She took very good care of our babies, even bending her rules a bit about no pets on the couch, so that our oldest one was comfortable and just out of reach of the other energetic pups. About: I have been around animals since I was quite young. I raised and competitively showed horses my entire life. I had many jobs as a barn manager, taking care of horses and farm animals, chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, cows, cats, donkeys, mules, turkeys, pigs as well as all the farm dogs. I worked as an equine veterinary technician for 11 years. I’ve raised mastiff puppies for several years. My kids and I are becoming more involved with our local 4h group with our mini aussies. There’s not many animals I haven’t had the privilege of working with. About: From having family dogs since I was a kid, to being hired as a reccurring sitter and walker for years for many clients/friends, and now owning 2 dogs of my own, I’m constantly with a furry companion and I wouldn’t want to live any other way. Mines a coward and we'd need to check that he gets along with yours first, he'll get bullied if I'm not careful, the poor thing I stay home all day and spend as much of my time as possible outside. Your dog may come back muddy though, the messier you get the more fun you had and all! I am home all day with eyes/ears on the pets nearly constantly. I also spend so much time in environments that encourage explorative play and will keep most dogs too busy to get bored and act out in the first place. If a pet did act out, there's more than enough space in my place to separate animals and allow them to decompress. If at your place, mine is kennel trained for the same idea.

“Barry is wonderful! Like many pet owners, we were so nervous leaving our almost 14 year old Callie behind for a few days. However, within our first meet and greet with Barry and Shaka we were comfortable, knowing Callie would be in good hands. Barry sent daily updates and pictures everyday. Allowing us to be more at ease on our trip. Communication was great as he was quick to respond and was very flexible with our drop off time, when we were running behind. Barry has experience with senior dogs, he was kind and understanding with all of Callie’s feeding and meds instructions. We could tell, Callie really enjoyed all the smells in the garden and the calm setting. We can’t say enough, other than we are so glad we found Barry and we would highly recommend him.”

I work from home most of the time and have a flexible schedule. Please reach out to me and we can get something on the calendar! I care for pets in clients' homes. It keeps them in their routine and what they are comfortable with. I also do things like water plants, get the mail, etc. Because my schedule is flexible, I get to enjoy working with and caring for animals throughout my day. I walk and play with them often. I always make sure that the pet is properly leashed, carry extra baggies, make sure they have water, and keep a close eye on them.
