“Michael was a new sitter for us, but he will be our go-to sitter moving forward. He was prompt, reliable & very sweet with our pets. We got many photos and videos of his stay & our dog seemed very happy to have him there for walks & to play with. An unexpected bonus was not only that he left us a note so we knew where our pets were at in their day with treats & meds, but how clean he left our house (even stripped the bed & put his sheets in the washing machine)! 6/5 stars for Michael D! I HIGHLY recommend!”

“Jerrod was fantastic. Took great care of our pup while we were out of town! We were worried about leaving the pup alone for the first time but everything went smoothly! He sent lots of pics and kept us updated. Chewie had a great time with him! Thank you so much!”

“Claire is the best cat sitter we’ve had. She is attentive and takes great care of both our cat and our house. She is a great communicator. Our cat absolutely loves her. We would recommend Claire to anyone in need of a cat sitter.”

“We had such a great experience with Melody! From start to finish, she was warm, professional, and incredibly communicative. She took amazing care of our dog Franklin and kept us updated with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Franklin absolutely adored her — we could tell he was happy and well-loved while in her care. She even went above and beyond by taking care of little things around the house, like grabbing packages and washing the sheets before leaving. We truly appreciated her thoughtfulness and attention to detail. It’s clear she genuinely cares, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and responsible pet sitter!”

“Fern was amazing! First rover i’ve ever gotten that i would book to sit twice. I have been burnt before in the past sadly but Fern sent so many photos and was so communicative and went above and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend her for your pet sitting needs! The cats loved her.”

“Teresa is an amazing caretaker. Our dog has a heavy background and it her takes a minute to warm up to new folks. Teresa is calm, patient, and loving. We had an unexpected event to attend and we appreciated that she squeezed us in without much notice. She took time out of her day to meet Honey before we left for the weekend and we immediately felt at ease and knew Honey was in responsible, good hands. We will definitely book Teresa in the future and recommend her to friends.”

“Kristen did a great job taking care of our cat while we were gone, which included giving her medication twice a day. She sent lots of pictures and our cat loved Kristen. We will definitely ask her to watch our cat again in the future!”

“Carlie was a wonderful sitter for our dog and house while we had to take a last minute work trip and then again the next week when we left on our planned vacation. She sent photos every day and the house was spotless when we returned. We will not hesitate to hire her back to watch our pup the next time we need to go out of town.”

“James was amazing! He went above and beyond and his son taught us a new trick, that we have been working on with our pup! Would absolutely have James watch our pup in the future!”

“Tati watched our two golden retrievers at our house for two whole days and one overnight. We're so happy and impressed with the care that Tati gave to our two dogs. She was very detailed and even came to meet the dogs a couple of days before to learn about their routine. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need of a dog or house sitter!”

“Phoebe was fantastic watching our two pups for the weekend. Our pups had an awesome time with her, and I especially appreciated her clear and frequent communication. “She took great care of my dog, took her to Fort Foster multiple times. While I was away, she sent me plenty of pictures, got any pet supplies needed, and made sure the house was clean before she left. She was also really helpful by staying an extra night on short notice. I definitely recommend her for dog sitting.”

About: I’ve always had experience with cats and dogs; I specialize in longer walks, which some may constitute as hikes! My dog is a bit too small and old for hikes but I would love to help other dogs get that energy out in a beneficial way. I have experience with senior dogs, and some puppy experience. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I am a college student focusing on my education which gives me plenty of flexibility and free time to take care of pets! I can crate dogs if that is a preference although I am very open to just spending time sitting or playing with them as well!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I have also grown and had almost every household pet you can think of! I live in Portsmouth NH. I work from home 3 out of 5 days but can be very flexible about not going into the office. I have my own vehicle and am able to do drop ins during the day! I typically spend at least 30 minutes to an hour for drops. This would consist of letting your dog outside when I get there/ walking them. Then feeding them their meals and making sure they get to go back outside before I leave. I do not let dogs play 30 minutes before or after they eat just to be safe. Of If I am spending the night with your pet, I am more than happy to hang out at your house and watch a movie with your fur babies!

About: My brother owns a pet sitting/ training/ boarding company in CT and I’ve been active with him since he opened 10 years ago. I have now moved to NH and want to continue caring for animals. I am a passionate, caring, responsible pet caretaker and can not wait to meet your animals! I have an extremely flexible schedule. When you need me... I’ll make it work! I work from home and can create my own schedule- just ask! I will make sure your pup is comfortable and happy. I’ll also make sure you are too! I’ll send lots of updates and plenty of videos/ pictures.

About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s excited to help care for your pets like they’re my own. I currently work full-time during the week and am looking to offer pet care on the side, especially evenings and weekends. I’ve cared for neighbors’ pets, my sister’s dog, and homes for extended periods. I’m reliable, easygoing, and great at communicating, which I know is key when trusting someone with your furry family. Whether your pet needs a walk, some playtime, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’m here to help. I also offer light house sitting duties if needed. Feel free to reach out with any questions I’d love to learn more about your pets and how I can support you! I am unable to care for pets in my own home but safety, trust, and environment is super important to me! I will always follow instructions and will always respect the house rules and guidelines provided. I work full-time during the week, but I’m usually available in the afternoons/evenings after 5 and on weekends. I’m using Rover as a fun side gig because I genuinely love animals and want to spend more of my free time with them! I’ll make sure your pet still gets the time, care, and attention they need. I always prioritize comfort, safety, and trust. I’ve watched family pets, house sat for neighbors, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. I’ll happily follow your pet’s routine whether that includes crate time, meds, or snuggles and keep you updated with plenty of photos!

Kittery Point pet parents share their Rover experiences
Our high maintenance, teething puppy in crazy stage was no challenge for Mike- He is so calm and tuned into the dog’s needs and he frequently texted us with updates so we weren’t worried if Big Papi would overwhelm him. We feel like everything went better than expected.

Teresa cared for our two pups (miniature Schnauzer 14 yrs and German Short Haired Pointer 5yrs, quite the duo), and did an amazing job! We cannot thank her and recommend her enough. On the morning we were leaving, the GSP got skunked…I did all the skunk smell removal things I could do before having to leave to be able to catch our flight and almost didn’t go on our trip, but Teresa was fantastic! She helped us get Mali on a Dogg Bus to the groomer for skunk treatment, and dealt with the lingering skunk smell during our stay. Both girls were well loved and cared for while we were away!

Martha was so incredibly patient and loving with our Dexter! He has some quirks and anxieties but Martha was so understanding and great at ensuring he was comfortable. We received daily updates throughout the weekend and it was so nice to have those check ins. This was the first time Dexter has stayed with anyone other than our family and overall it was a great experience!

It was our first time leaving our pets for an overnight. We were very scepticale and anxious about leaving them. We are crazy pet parents with high expectations . James blew our expectations out of the water and made the entire process stress free! Great man and even greater to our pets. He did everything that was asked and went above and beyond to make sure not only our animals but we ourselves felt at ease and stress free. Great communication skills and was willing to accommodate all requests we asked of him. Incredible sitter and we will be rebooking anytime we have an event.
