“Clarissa was so great with my puppy! She was responsive, responsible and resourceful about keeping him entertained when I had to be gone for four days. I recommend her highly!”

“Laura was fantastic. We did a meet and greet the day before she started, and Hambone took to her immediately. Laura was prompt and responsive. She walked our dog while she stayed at my elderly parents house, and they were thrilled to have her. She was friendly and warm. I would not hesitate to book walks with her in the future.”

“Hannah was so great with our dog. We trusted her to take care of him during our wedding and it meant so much to know he was in safe and good hands! Thank you!!”

“Dayna took care of Sammy for two walks this week and she was so sweet to him. She followed the instructions perfectly and even gave him extra love and carrots. You can tell she really cares about the fur babies as we do and we really appreciated her kindness! Thanks so much again!”

About: I grew up on a farm, which is pretty much where my animal obsession began! I was surrounded by cows, pigs, horses, chickens, cats, dogs — basically if it had fur, feathers, or hooves, I probably helped take care of it. Growing up around so many different animals taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and how every animal has their own unique personality. Ever since then, animals have just naturally been a huge part of my life! I’m a full-time nurse with a flexible schedule, since I only work 3–4 days a week. That means I have plenty of time, energy, and attention to dedicate to your furry friends! Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I love making pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I accommodate to every pets needs! I have crates, I do structured playtime and go on long walks to exert energy. I also have a friendly dogs who would love to keep your pet company.
“Elizabeth is a very professional and caring dog walker. My dog looked forward to her visits. She follow directions perfectly and asked pertinent questions. I will definitely book with her again.”

About: I worked 8 years, almost 9, and The Dog Hut LLC. I've helped care for dogs as young as 2 months and dogs well into their senior years. I'm happy to give medication to any dogs that need it and make sure they get extra cuddles and someone to "talk to". I am also very open to more than just dogs. I worked for 4 years at the Dane County Humane Society caring for Guinee Pigs, rats, and a non venomous snake. I am currently between jobs so any day works well for me. I'm happy to come late morning and well into the night to feed, water, and play with your pets who need that. Or just lend a happy presence, for the cats and cat-like pets who just need a simple hello. At my home I do not have a fully fenced in yard but am within walking distance of a few paths so even if your dog will be on leash they will get a wonderful walk in. Bringing their own toys and comfort items will be needed as I only have a cat currently. Also your dog must be cat friendly or will need to have a kennel brought with them should they be staying. I am okay staying over at my client's place should the need arise, can give medication and will give them all the playtime and snuggle breaks they need. I will be wary of weather changes so I can give them quick breaks outside and make sure they still can get energy out should it be an inside kind of day.
“I am so happy we found Jennifer to walk our dog. She's a very caring and responsible person. She asked great questions when we met for introductions. She was on time and let me know of schedule changes and was flexible in rescheduling. Our dog loves her. I highly recommend Jennifer to care for your pets.”

About: Animals have always been apart of my life in both big & small ways. Being able to care for other pets, is just an extension of me caring for my own. My goal is to make your pet(s) as comfortable, loved, and cared for as if you had never left. I pride myself in the small details & going above and beyond what is expected. ~ Experience with young puppies to senior dog, and diabetic dogs. Including giving insulin. ~ Extensive experience with cats including specialized medical needs. ~ Comfortable giving oral, topical, or injectable medications. MY BACKGROUND: At an early age while growing up on five acres in the country, I was often taking care of a variety of animals, including our dogs and many barn cats. I was a bit of a cat Momma, often times assisting with extra care like bottle feeding or treating illnesses as they came. Eventually I started taking care of our neighbors animals when they were away. Throughout childhood I had several special cats that became my indoor pets & my first adopted dog at the age of 13. After high school I worked at a stable. My ‘Cat Whisper’ abilities came in handy while here- tending to the cats & ensuring the kittens grew up & had a chance to be healthy, loved barn cats. As a young adult, I cared for my two indoor cats & my Boxer puppy - a dream come true. ADDITIONALLY: I have almost 10 years of experience as a CNA and have completed 1 year of nursing school. You can feel confident knowing that your pet is in capable hands. I’m currently working from home & homeschool my daughter, allowing my weekdays to be flexible. I’m also home most weekends. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in care, walks, and extended care. FOR THOSE LOOKING TO PLAN AHEAD… I have my Spring/ Summer 2027 currently unavailable as I don’t have enough information yet to determine my exact availability. If you have an upcoming trip you are planing and in need of care, or looking for reoccurring care during these dates, please message me directly to get priority booking as my availability opens. My goal is to make your pet(s) as comfortable, loved, and cared for as if you had never left, and to give you peace of mind while you’re away. I know that every family has a different way of caring for their pets. Therefore, I will work with you to find out how best to care for your animal by asking questions up front before I even step foot in your home. Communication is key. At the end of my visit, I will give you an overview of your pets time with me including sending pictures. If there’s anything else you’re looking for, just ask.

About: I have dog sat for various different families since being in college. Growing up my family lived on a small hobby farm as well and therefore I am accustomed to many different animals and their needs. I enjoy the routine and exercise caring for dogs requires and I hope I can help make your travels less stressful knowing your dogs are in good hands! I am a full time special education teacher and therefore I am off during the summer months which frees me up to care for others pets during the week and weekends. During the school year, my weekends are free and allows for dog care. I am not offering services in my own home. I have a clear understanding of leave things how they were before I got to the house. For example, if I’m staying the weekend I leave with dishes cleaned, bed stripped, and floor vacuumed. If I am walking the dog, I clean up any mess that may have been made with the walk as well. I am gentle, but firm when needed for the dogs. If your dog doesn’t do well with other dogs, I will try to take a low traffic area or follow what works best for you all so the dog has its routine. My goal with each service is to act similarly to you as owners so that the dog has a sense of routine and safety.

I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, or extended care. With my background as a former dog groomer and long-term experience in the pet industry, I’m very comfortable caring for animals and enjoy making them feel safe, calm, and cared for. I care for pets by following their normal routine closely, including feeding, walking, playtime, and any medications. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and comfort, and I’m experienced in handling different temperaments from my time working in boarding facilities and pet care. My goal is to make pets feel safe and cared for as if they were my own.
About: I always had a dog. The house isn’t a home if you don’t have a dog. Family brings there dog over. Every one gets along I’m working part time . Will have time to play and walk your dog. I care for dogs. I have a dog name Louie. We’re always outside I have a big fenced in yard . I have a dog so my house is dog proof. I have a one story house on a quiet street.

About: My first job was as a kennel attendant at a local vet clinic where I learned a lot about animal care. I have also worked at a boarding facility. Since working there, I have started my own pet sitting service called “Bodens Buddies”. I started this service for a number of reasons; one, to give my dog Boden unique social opportunities, and two, because I believe pets thrive in a home setting even if it’s not their home. I am currently working part time as I continue my college studies, so I have plenty of time to commit to your pet(s)! My schedule is flexible! I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog of my own. I also have two cats who can be spaced in another area if needed.
About: I have lived with and cared for dogs for over 20 years. Past volunteer at the Humane Society to walk dogs. Comfortable with many different dogs. We have flexible schedules which allow us time at home to care for other dogs along with our own. Love playing with and walking dogs! The kids really want more dogs, so this will be a great way to ‘give’ them more dogs! We have two fur babies that love playing and lounging in the sun. The kids enjoy running in the backyard and playing fetch with them.
About: I have had dogs all my life and in all stages of their lives; puppies to seniors. I currently am a Foster Parent for Fetch Wisconsin Rescue and have found it so very rewarding, I figured a part time opportunity to walk, play and take care of others furry family members would also be extremely rewarding, and the exercise would be beneficial too! My current job schedule is working from home from Monday - Friday from 6am to 3pm. I am free after those hours and on weekends. I would use the double leash method for dog walks, especially in the beginning when the pups do not know me. Then after the relationship is formed, I would leave it up to the owner to decide if they feel I should continue this method.
“Lensy is so wonderful! She’s consistently communicative and sends such fun photos. Absolutely incredible to have her care for Petey & shows above and beyond consideration for both my pets :) Look forward to having her walk again!”

We can gather these finer details of your pets via email. I have experience with all kinds of animals. From raising them to providing proper space for them as well as long term care. Chickens, Great Danes, reptiles, you name it. I've owned many animals all my life and I want to continue to add more experience by sharing my time with other pets. Caring for all kinds of animals brings me incredible joy! Ensuring they have fresh food and water, exercise, stimulation, and love is of the utmost importance. About: I will absolutely spoil and love your pets like they are my own! I am a recent graduate from UW-Madison in Wildlife Ecology where I gained animal experience. I also graduated from Madison College with an Associate Degree for Veterinary Technician. I worked in the veterinary field for over a year before attending UW-Madison. I take pride in my ability to care for animals and the love I have for them. My schedule is currently completely open to take care of and spoil all the pets I can. I have a Chocolate Labrador named Jake that would need to come with me when house sitting. He is good with dogs and cats. I might not have a fenced yard, but there is so much space near my apartment for dogs to play and run. There is also a trail close by that I have taken my dog on, which she loves. I have a truck that can transport them. If I am caring for pets in the client's home I have no issue with taking them out to play or on walks. I absolutely love being around pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
