About: I always had a dog. The house isn’t a home if you don’t have a dog. Family brings there dog over. Every one gets along I’m working part time . Will have time to play and walk your dog. I care for dogs. I have a dog name Louie. We’re always outside I have a big fenced in yard . I have a dog so my house is dog proof. I have a one story house on a quiet street.
About: I love playing with and keeping dogs active and healthy, and love to treat them like they’re my own. I really like going for walks, to the park, or wherever it is that makes them smile and have fun! I have been taking care/sitting for various friends dogs for a few years, and for my moms dog since I moved out, whenever she needs help. I also had numerous dogs growing up, and have a puppy now! I am very flexible and eager to please, and I love to help anyone out to make their and their dogs lives easier/better.*while you’re on a fun vacation away, your dog will be on a fun vacation back home with me!* I teach September-June during the day so I can let out before and after work, and during the summer I am free all day long!! I always provide a gentle and calming presence when visiting a pet’s home. I want to make sure they are comfortable with my being there, so patience and calmness is something I find really important. Of course if they’re happy to play and get snuggles, I am happy and SO willing to do that too! That’s my favorite.
“Samantha was a godsend for us -- she was a reliable, friendly, and caring dog walker who our gregarious pup, Watson, basically instantly fell in love with. We would still have her walk Watson if she weren't moving! She is fantastic.”

“Rachel was so great to my puppy when she came over to let her out in the middle of the day, on multiple occasions. She understood her puppy needs and took such great care of her. Rachel sends fun and informative pictures, so I always felt like my puppy was getting the care and attention she needed.”

About: I have 2 large rescues that have been a part of my family for the last 9 years. When I lived in apartments, I helped watch other neighbors' dogs and always enjoyed getting to know them and learn about their routines, hobbies, and quirks. While my family never had a dog growing up, I love being around them now and could never go back to a life without them! Since I work part time at a local farm, and am only just getting my own farm up and running, I have a relatively flexible schedule from week to week, especially during the winter, early spring, and late fall. I am thorough when it comes to taking care of my dogs' health and safety, as well as the health and safety of all pets that are in my care. I am always vigilant about traffic while walking dogs near any roads, and am always careful of walking them near other animals. When in another's home I am respectful of boundaries and rules and always clean up after myself or any messes that a pet may make.
About: What sets me apart is my dependable, loving care. I treat every dog like family, giving patient attention, walks, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of love. I work mornings in retail, finish later in the afternoon so I am free later in the day. I enjoy being active, but always plan my schedule around pets to ensure consistent, loving care. I adapt to each pets needs. I grew up with cats and dogs, and provide walks, cuddles, space if needed, plus updates, photos, and lots of love, care, and attention.

About: Hi! I’m a college student at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and a huge animal lover. I currently work in a doggy daycare and pet boarding facility, so caring for animals is something I do every day—not just as a hobby, but as a job I genuinely love.I have hands-on experience working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments through my job in doggy daycare and boarding. This means I’m comfortable with: Handling multiple dogs at once Reading dog behavior and body language Managing high-energy and shy/anxious dogs Feeding routines and administering basic care I also come from a family farm, so I’ve been around animals my whole life and am used to responsibility, early mornings, and consistent care. I currently work part time as a CNA in Stevens Point. I’m looking for the opportunity to spend more time with animals whenever I can, as they are such a big part of my life. Personally, sitting in the clients home would work best for me, as I am a college student living with a few other roommates, which can be difficult for having pets here :)

About: I love caring for animals! I have always been asked to care for pets when my loved ones, friends, coworkers, or neighbors are away. I make homemade dog treats with my dogs and I’m sure they will share! I have cared for all ages of dogs, all needs of dogs. If your dog is friendly, and you would be interested in letting them play with my dog Ozzie to wear out some energy, that is an option as long as they can meet first! Nothing beats a middle of the day play date! I can be flexible in my schedule but sometimes it changes fast, I promise to keep my schedule as up to date as I can. When I am not caring for pets, I work full time as an RN. Please note all my rates are negotiable. I do work 12-13hr shifts full time as a RN. With that, I promise to be upfront and honest about my hours so we can figure out additional care if needed. My schedule varies every week so I often have free time during the week. I work every 3rd weekend. I can come by and spend time with your pets, I can take them for walks, make homemade treats with them, or just give them belly rubs and ear scratches! Let me know what you need so we can work it out.
“Isaac has worked with both my dogs who are completely opposite. One a high energy 1+ puppy (who is a lot) and the other a chill senior dog, Isaac consistently does great with both”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
