“Shatoria was exceptional as a dog sitter for my pet. Being new to town, i reached out for recommendations and she totally lived up to her high praise. Big fan! Always on time and with proactive communication.”
About: Hi my name is Yee Lam but everyone calls me Suki. I grew up with dogs and am a dog lover. I had a beloved toy poodle named Seven for 15 years, who was truly the best dog and a cherished member of our family. I’m a full-time mom, and when my son (9) and daughter (7) are in school, I have plenty of free time to care for pets—playing with them, feeding them, and giving them all the attention they need. My kids love dogs too, and I think this is a wonderful way for them to learn the joys and responsibilities of having a puppy. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays after 9 a.m. We have a spacious yard for safe outdoor play, and our neighborhood is calm, family-friendly, and right next to a school, with no major roads nearby, so you can feel at ease knowing your dog will be safe on our walks.
“Lindsey was accommodating at short notice. Very communicative and responsive right away. It is clear she took great care of our boys. She sent lots of photos and they looked so happy! Will, definitely, reach out to her again 🐶🙏🐶”

About: I’m all of my friends and families first choice to watch their pets when they are out of town. I’ve looked after a variety of breeds of dogs and many cats as well. I’ve always had dogs in my life growing up so I’m very familiar with reading their body language and knowing how to care for them. I work full time but have a lot of flexibility to check on your pet throughout the day and have the opportunity to work remote as well I’ve never a met a pet that didn’t like me. I’m very good at reading dogs body langue and knowing what they need. Cats also like me and I’m good at reading their body language as well

Then have college classes in the mornings and later in the afternoon into the evening. Some days I am done with classes early. I have more flexibility on the weekends. I adapt to each pets needs. I grew up with cats and dogs, and provide walks, cuddles, space if needed, plus updates, photos, and lots of love, care, and attention.
About: I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember! I love training and have lots of prior experience with a variety of behaviors from reactivity to separation anxiety. My previous dog required lots of medical care and I am a human nurse so I am very comfortable providing any care your dog needs. Lastly I do have experience fostering so I have had lots of experience with different personalities and types of dogs! I do have one dog at home who loves other dogs and loves to play as well as a cat who is dog friendly (for shorter stays she can be kept in a spare bedroom)My days off of work are fully open and I do not book more than 1 dog at a time, so your dog will have all my attention. I will send lots of pictures and updates as I understand it can be anxiety provoking to trust your dog with someone new! I do work full time, but only 3 days a week. This schedule varies week to week so while I don’t have a consistent schedule, my days off work can be fully devoted to you and your pet! On days I do work I am available for early morning or late evening drop ins The back part of my yard is fenced in so your dog will have lots of room to run around and explore. There’s also plenty of shade to keep them cool! I do live by a park and a small walking trail so I there are lots of ways for us to get our exercise in! If I am walking a dog in your home, I am flexible and accommodating and am comfortable using whatever methods/tools you prefer to keep your dog safe.
About: I have lived with and cared for dogs for over 20 years. Past volunteer at the Humane Society to walk dogs. Comfortable with many different dogs. We have flexible schedules which allow us time at home to care for other dogs along with our own. Love playing with and walking dogs! The kids really want more dogs, so this will be a great way to ‘give’ them more dogs! We have two fur babies that love playing and lounging in the sun. The kids enjoy running in the backyard and playing fetch with them.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up with dogs and have lived with and cared for cats throughout college, giving me experience with pets of different breeds, personalities, and needs. I’ve also dog sat for friends and family many times and understand the importance of keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routines while their owners are away. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from young, high-energy puppies who need plenty of exercise and playtime to senior pets who require extra patience, special care, and medication. I’m dependable, attentive, and treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. As an online college student, I have a flexible schedule and open availability throughout most days of the week. This allows me to easily accommodate walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or pet sitting during weekdays and weekends. Because I spend much of my time studying from home, I’m also able to provide pets with plenty of attention, companionship, and consistent care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special care instructions so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. In your home, I’ll follow your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and bedtime to help keep their routine consistent. I always make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re in caring, reliable hands.

About: I've had a fun-filled house with dogs and cats since I was in elementary school. I've worked professionally with pets as well, such as pet dental hygienist assistant, pet store associate and birthday party tour guide, and Chewy supervisor. I'm currently looking for opportunities to help out with pets of all sizes, ages, and abilities. I'm able to provide care to your fur baby all day. I can also devote nights and weekends to them! I have three dogs who are friendly. One has anxiety, so she keeps to herself mostly, but loves to snuggle with other dogs. I keep all foods and small items off of the floor, away from curious snouts. I have a fenced area in the back yard.
“Jen was amazing with our two dogs for walks and drop in visits. We have a large energetic lab and a small older maltese who required extra care and meds. She handled both of them so well. We loved the thorough updates and pictures from every visit. We knew our pups were in good hands and enjoyed her company. Jen was super flexible and responsive as well to our inconsistent schedules. We will definitely use her again!”

About: Hello, my name is Katy and I would love to care for your dog! I just finished a term with AmeriCorps and now work part-time in the service industry. My flexible schedule means I am free to walk or watch your pup! I understand that caring for your dog means understanding their individual needs. Please don't shy away from telling me your dog's specific needs and quirks. I want to make caring for your dog a great experience for both pet andowner. I bring passion and professionalism to this job and absolutely enjoy what I do. I have had dogs all my life and currently have an elderly chihuahua. Because of his health concerns and age, I'm not currently boarding dogs at my home. However, I would love to walk and sit your pups and can assure they will get attentive and safe care.
About: I have done petsitting (cats and dogs) for over 15 years. Usually for animals where I personally know the owners and have spent time with the animal to create a bond/relationship. I want to full disclose with new perspective pets parents: I have a full time, in-office job with the standard business hours, Monday through Friday. If that's not what you are looking for in a house sitter, I understand. If I had a pet of my own, I would ensure all their needs are met. As a petsitter, I would to ensure their animal's life doesn't change or I could make it better in some small way especially since their parent(s) is gone I stay at the animal's home to care for them so their life isn't different than what it usually is for them. Changing their environment can be quite shocking and stressful to them. I try not change their lifestyle too much while the parent is gone

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
