About: Hi my name is Yee Lam but everyone calls me Suki. I grew up with dogs and am a dog lover. I had a beloved toy poodle named Seven for 15 years, who was truly the best dog and a cherished member of our family. I’m a full-time mom, and when my son (9) and daughter (7) are in school, I have plenty of free time to care for pets—playing with them, feeding them, and giving them all the attention they need. My kids love dogs too, and I think this is a wonderful way for them to learn the joys and responsibilities of having a puppy. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays after 9 a.m. We have a spacious yard for safe outdoor play, and our neighborhood is calm, family-friendly, and right next to a school, with no major roads nearby, so you can feel at ease knowing your dog will be safe on our walks.

About: I have done petsitting (cats and dogs) for over 15 years. Usually for animals where I personally know the owners and have spent time with the animal to create a bond/relationship. I want to full disclose with new perspective pets parents: I have a full time, in-office job with the standard business hours, Monday through Friday. If that's not what you are looking for in a house sitter, I understand. If I had a pet of my own, I would ensure all their needs are met. As a petsitter, I would to ensure their animal's life doesn't change or I could make it better in some small way especially since their parent(s) is gone I stay at the animal's home to care for them so their life isn't different than what it usually is for them. Changing their environment can be quite shocking and stressful to them. I try not change their lifestyle too much while the parent is gone

About: Although I have not been a trainer, I have raised my own puppy, as well as been around dogs my whole life! I love nothing more than dogs and the joy they bring to peoples lives, I know times can get busy, but that’s what i’m here for! I have my own puppy at home, and i love spending time with him, but i also love spending time with other dogs:) i love going on walks, and to parks around the neighborhood! I will make sure your pet is actively cared for while I am with them, I will play with, and attend to their special needs!

“Tricia has been wonderful with Cinco! We were a little nervous about hiring a dog walker for the first time, but Tricia immediately made us feel comfortable. She took the time to get to know Cinco, listened carefully to all of our instructions, and has been incredibly patient about letting Cinco set the pace and build trust with her. Cinco can be reactive to other dogs and can also be nervous around loud noises, so finding someone we trusted to walk her was very important to us. Tricia pays attention to her cues and adjusts the walk when Cinco is uncomfortable rather than pushing her. After only two visits, Cinco was already excited to see her! Tricia is also a great communicator and clearly cares about making sure both Cinco and we are comfortable. We feel very lucky to have found her and are looking forward to having her continue walking Cinco. Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. My Dad went to school to be a Veterinarian, so we have always been around different animals. I have two cats at home, and recently just lost my beloved dog, Lexi! I currently work as a flight instructor so my schedule is very flexible! I typically start later in the day or early in the morning. Plenty of time to help out!! I can walk, feed, clean-up after any pets. I have no preference, little, big, cats and dogs. I am able to understand pets all have very special needs and want to fulfill those.

About: I have always loved dogs. I have been working with dogs for six years now and love every minute of it. My availability is very flexible and I am good at training dogs as well. I enjoy the responsibility’s that come with watching and walking dogs. I am very good with all different kinds of behaviors dogs and can take almost all challenges. About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses, and have experience in oral med administration with both cats and dogs. I have a soft spot for the big dogs (they're lap-sized if you commit!). I run half marathons so getting good exercise in will be no problem (even in Wisconsin weather!). I'm currently training for distance running, so you can expect great exercise for your pet! Whether it's a long meandering sniff-ari or an intense loop around the neighborhood, I would love to know what fits your dog best. As I'm in your home, your instructions are paramount. You know your pet better than anyone, and I am happy to keep their normal routines in place. I like getting to know each animal and their unique personality, and while I *love* giving snuggles and pets, I understand some pets prefer their space.

About: Hi! My name is Marcela, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with a special place in my heart for both dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own, Chester and Athena. Chester is my small rescue dog, and I’ve had him since I was 9 years old. I truly grew up with him, and he has been by my side for most of my life. Chester is deaf, and as he’s gotten older, he has also developed anxiety and takes medication to help manage it. Over the years, I’ve learned how important patience, consistency, and understanding an animal’s individual needs can be. I communicate with Chester using hand signals and gentle body language, and caring for him has taught me so much about connecting with animals at every stage of life. Athena is my pit bull, and we love spending time outdoors with our animals. Whether we’re going for walks, playing, or simply enjoying the fresh air, I genuinely love giving animals attention, exercise, and plenty of affection. Athena has also had difficulty getting along with other dogs, so we worked with her through training to help her become more comfortable and learn how to interact appropriately. This has given me firsthand experience with the patience, structure, and careful management that some dogs need when around other animals. I also have hands on experience caring for a cat with significant medical needs. My cat, Fergi, was diagnosed with HCM and eventually developed end stage heart failure. During his illness, I became very familiar with the day to day care that comes with heart failure, including administering medications, monitoring his breathing, appetite, energy, and behavior, and paying close attention to small changes in his condition. Going through that experience also taught me how difficult it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care when they’re sick or have special needs. I know how much worry can come with wondering if they’re okay while you’re away. Because of that, I want to be the kind of person who gives another pet parent that same sense of comfort and reassurance, knowing their pet is being watched over with patience, love, and genuine care. I absolutely love cats, and after recently losing Fergi, I’m not quite ready to bring another cat into my home yet. I would, however, love the opportunity to care for and spend time with other people’s cats. It would be really special to have that connection again while giving your cat the love and attention they deserve. I also take pride in the everyday care I give my own pets, including brushing my dogs’ teeth daily. I’m happy to provide routine care like this when requested, along with walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and plenty of companionship. Whether your pet is young, a senior, anxious, shy, energetic, or needs medication or extra patience, I’ll treat them with the same kindness and attentiveness I give my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone, and my goal is for both you and your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re apart. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! ❤️ I have a flexible schedule since my partner and I run our own microgreens farm. This allows me to work pet care into my schedule and be flexible with walks, drop ins, and stays. I’ll care for your pet(s) based on their individual needs and any instructions you provide—every situation is different, and I’m happy to adapt to what’s best for them.

About: Former member of UNC-Chapel Hill Puppy Raisers, a student-led organization that works with puppies in partnership with Ears Eyes Nose and Paws of Chapel Hill on their journey to becoming service animals. I’m currently working part time, so very flexible with the times and days that I am available to help out with your cats or dogs! I have no pets currently so full attention will be devoted to your animal! I have grown up with dogs my entire life and feel comfortable handling all sizes and breeds.

I have worked as a veterinary assistant for the past 3 years. Daily dog walks are an important part of my routine and I have a flexible schedule. I love meeting new people and animals on the island! I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am an active person. I also keep my dog leashed and am amenable to dog’s specific needs.

About: I’ve owned dogs, cats, horses for years. No job is too big. I work in veterinary medicine as a technician. I am comfortable with medications, injections, subcutaneous fluids, etc. I currently work full time at Spring Harbor Animal Hospital. I am able to stop morning and evenings around work and then more on weekends! If you need services overnight I do try to check on my kitties before settling in with your pet for the night. In the client home I am very respectful of spaces and leave it as found. I will follow all rules both for myself and for your pet. Your and your pets trust, safety, and comfortableness is my number priority.
