“Elizabeth is a very professional and caring dog walker. My dog looked forward to her visits. She follow directions perfectly and asked pertinent questions. I will definitely book with her again.”

“Laura is so sweet. It usually takes quite a bit for my dog to warm up to someone. However, she took right to Laura. Laura sent pictures, came prepared and was punctual. My fur baby has a new friend. Thank you Laura!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a child, primarily Labs. I walk for exercise and would love to have your dog along. I’m a travel RN not on contract so my schedule is wide open. I drive to Madison daily to workout so I can easily exercise your pets at your convenience. I only offer walking services at the moment. I will ensure that your pet is safe from traffic and other animals. I will treat them as my own.
“I am so happy we found Jennifer to walk our dog. She's a very caring and responsible person. She asked great questions when we met for introductions. She was on time and let me know of schedule changes and was flexible in rescheduling. Our dog loves her. I highly recommend Jennifer to care for your pets.”

“Hannah was so great with our dog. We trusted her to take care of him during our wedding and it meant so much to know he was in safe and good hands! Thank you!!”

“Does a great job with my dog. Will be calling again for future needs. But my pup is ready to be on his own for the work day. Thank you very much for all your help and expertise!”

“Sara was absolutely amazing and so easy to work with! She helped us by walking our dog a few times a day while I was on a work trip. Communication was fantastic and our dog really enjoyed his walks! It was a lifesaver having her come over and walk him! It gave me peace of mind while I was gone during the day! I will definitely be booking Sara again!!”

About: Hi, I’m Rosana! I am 24 years old and just graduated with a bachelors degree at UW- Madison! I joined Rover because I have always wanted to do a career that involves dogs! I have always loved caring for animals. Dogs are my favorites and I am always good with them. I have spent years caring for my grandparents dogs, neighbors pets, and family friends dogs. I have had a lot of experience with dogs of many ages and sizes. I am always ready to play outside and take your dog for long walks. I am always ready for the challenge! Thank you for choosing me to take care of your beloved pet! I am ready to play, watch, and care for your dog! :) :) I have currently quit my job. I do side jobs like DoorDash and rover. I create my own schedule so it fits in my routine very easy! I give a lot of attention to the animals. They are my main priority! I make sure my environment is pet safe and that they feel loved!
“Maggie is fantastic! She is kind, compassionate and extremely reliable. She patiently listened to our instructions regarding our pup and was more than happy to follow everything we requested. It is clear she has a love for animals and is very trustworthy and competent. Our pup was completely comfortable with her and getting belly rubs within the first few minutes. Our furry friend was so excited to see her when she returned for another walk! I can't say enough good things!”

About: I'm a genuine animal lover who treats every home and pet as if they were my own. Whether you have an energetic puppy, a senior dog needing extra care, a shy pup who takes time to warm up, or a small apartment with a feisty terrier — I show up prepared, patient, and attentive. My priority is making sure your pets are happy and your home is respected, so you can travel with real peace of mind. I welcome meet-and-greets beforehand, communicate throughout the stay, and always leave your home just as I found it. Pet sitting is my primary focus when I take a sit — I'm not squeezing it in around a busy schedule. Your pets get my full attention, not leftover time. I stay in your home for the full sit, keeping your pets in their own space with their familiar routines, smells, and comfort. No disruption, no transport — just consistent care in the environment they already trust.
“Jacob is amazing and a fast walker! He uses the whole booked time to walk your dog and takes the best pictures too! Support him in his senior year here. You and your dog won’t regret it!”

“Our Great Dane loves Ben. He has had great communication with us during all of his walks and has made sure that Bruno has “done his business” in the mornings. He is our favorite walker”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life, cats and dogs. I have experience with all age ranges of pets. I enjoy taking care of mine and my family members pets! I often watch my parents 2 year old energetic boxer mix, as well as 3 cats, one who has heart failure. I also love spending time with my sisters 5 year old mini doxie. I’m comfortable cleaning up messes, cleaning litter boxes and providing basic medical needs. I look forward to meeting the furry important members of your family and providing the best care I can! I have an open availability for Monday-Friday from 6am-3pm. I’m available for longer walks if needed or short in and out trips. I take my parents dog Willie on walks around local parks, he’s a very energetic dog and likes to pull. So I take it one step at a time with him and give him ample time to soak in all the enrichment of the environment around us.
About: I will absolutely spoil and love your pets like they are my own! I am a recent graduate from UW-Madison in Wildlife Ecology where I gained animal experience. I also graduated from Madison College with an Associate Degree for Veterinary Technician. I worked in the veterinary field for over a year before attending UW-Madison. I take pride in my ability to care for animals and the love I have for them. My schedule is currently completely open to take care of and spoil all the pets I can. I have a Chocolate Labrador named Jake that would need to come with me when house sitting. He is good with dogs and cats. I might not have a fenced yard, but there is so much space near my apartment for dogs to play and run. There is also a trail close by that I have taken my dog on, which she loves. I have a truck that can transport them. If I am caring for pets in the client's home I have no issue with taking them out to play or on walks. I absolutely love being around pets.
“Lensy is so wonderful! She’s consistently communicative and sends such fun photos. Absolutely incredible to have her care for Petey & shows above and beyond consideration for both my pets :) Look forward to having her walk again!”

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Stone. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Stone.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stone. On Rover:
- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
