About: Hi, I’m Maggie I’m a lover of all kinds of animals. I’m a rover pet-sitting veteran, coming back after being on a long break due to a busy work schedule and very senior pup. I’m excited to be back and make some new furry friends. I have 2 English Springer Spaniels that are mostly well-trained, incredibly friendly, and like to play hard, and I also have a cat who enjoys the confines of the master closet but comes out on occasion for snacks and love. (They stay home with my husband while I'm housesitting.) BUT being that I’m a pet owner who dedicates a lot of my time and energy to making sure my pets have the best life ever, I understand what it’s like to leave your pet at home while you travel and how stress-inducing that can be for both pet and owner. So my goal as a pet sitter is to make sure your pet gets lots of love and the same care they would receive while you’re home, and you will receive as much communication and updates as you wish. Some add'l info: - I offer dog sitting during the day and overnights at my place for select dogs. - My housesitting fee $100/n is for up to 3 dogs. Any pets after will be additional. Shoot me a message if you have any questions! I work from home so I have a pretty flexible schedule throughout the day. I do prefer to walk dogs early in the mornings and evenings in the summer, but if you live an an apartment I understand the challenge. I take the same safety precautions I would with my own pets, I’m pretty good at following rules and making sure anything not pet friendly is out of reach. I do have a fenced in yard.

“Morgan was extremely responsive and quick to jump on zoom so we could do a virtual meet and greet. She was waiting for us when we arrived and at pick up, and very responsive during the day. My dog was fed, happy and tired when we picked him up. So pleased to find someone we trust in the city.”

About: Life-long pet person and sitter. New to Rover, but have years of experience sitting for neighbors and friends - references available upon request! I became the "handler" for our family puppies in obedience classes at age 7, and have raised 2 rescues as an adult, who were cherished members of our family. I have been sitting more frequently since my catahoula-mix passed away at an elderly 15 earlier this year - my family is not yet ready for our next forever-dog, but will treasure our time with yours! When I'm not pet sitting, I foster for AAC, including medical-needs and behavior-challenged pups. My home also includes my animal-loving 16yo son who's happy to provide extra snuggles if your pet is interested. We're also currently caring for my adult son's cat, but have adequate space to keep pets separated if neccesary I currently work from home (part-time and with a flexible schedule) so when I'm sitting my days can be structured to fully match your routine. My typical dog day includes long walks (weather permitting), active play in my fenced yard and home, and all the snuggles your pup would like. I have a cozy home and secure fenced yard for playtime. I'm experienced with puppies, and my home can be fully puppy-proofed as needed. I'm experienced with medical-needs puppies and elderly dogs - happy to administer oral medications and monitor conditions as needed. I'm also experienced with positive reinforcement training - while I'm not equipped to sit for dogs with serious aggression, I'm happy to take on normal puppy challenges and low-level fence/leash reactivity as long as you fully disclose and share any training routines in advance. I'll ask for details on any health issues or sensitivities, and make sure your pup is safe and happy in my care!
“Christian was a great Rover for my pup! Her communication was great and quick, and she was able to accommodate a same day daycare with nighttime pickup. Coyote was happy at her place immediately, and she sent several very nice updates throughout the evening. Would definitely use her again and recommend her!”

“Yulmu had really good time with Lindsey and his new friends! I received many pictures and video of Yulmu during daycare. Pick up and drop off time was very flexible. Will definitely book again.”

“Sydney was great with maple! She gave her treats and a lick mat and Maple had a great time with her pup! She came back at the end of the day very relaxed and happy. I’ve already booked a boarding stay with her for next time!”

“Jordan is so great! She messaged photos and videos to put me at ease and Luna seemed happy and comfortable when I picked her up (which is a relief since she tends to be anxious!) So glad to have found Jorday :)”

“Alice took great care of our two pups during their day care stay with her. She was communicative and sent regular updates and photos during their day care stay with her. About: TLDR: Goober is a 1.5 year old goober who is depressed when he doesn't get to play with friends. Sitter has 30+ year of extensive care experience with large and small animals. There is a 6 year old in the home but the times are blocked off that he won't be there because most dogs don't love younger kids. On the Thur/Friday sits, he might be there in the afternoon after school until you pick up or on Sunday evening after 6 pm. I'll limit there interaction if there are issues or overlap. If you are a regular or have booked with me before, feel free to ask about booking with me when my son is around even if it doesn't show up on the calendar because I'll be able to tell you what we are up to and if it is appropriate. I'm very experienced in animal care and will take the best care of your dog. I'll also offer suggestions and input in making your dogs experience the best possible experience. --- Hi! I'm Rhiannon and this is Goober. Goober is a 1.5 akita/pyrenees/super mutt mix who is playful, happy, eager to please and very energetic. He loves being our family dog but he misses playing with dog friends and would love a dog sleepover every once in a while. He's friendly, easily corrected by more alpha dogs, and can't stop/won't stop (till nap time in his crate). I'm Rhiannon, and I have so much animal care experience it's not even funny. I owned a horse for 30 years! (We just said goodbye to him this year at 33) and have cared for all aged animals for decades. I had a special needs pug and I used to rover all the time other special needs dogs when she was alive. I'm comfortable with basic medical care/first aid and basic training. I have a pretty solid routine so your dog will be on a schedule! We decided to get back to some Rovering so that Goober could show his true Southern hospitality to other active and playful dogs when their parents work long hours or are out of town. We've had wonderful times with our Rover sitters and wanted to provide affordable and quality care when we were available. This is for fun for us! We would be looking for other active and playful dogs to come over and enjoy our fenced in backyard, long walks in the nature preserve next to our neighborhood, South Walnut Creek Hike and Bike and Boggy Creek Greenbelt. Dogs are fed three times a day (Goober is on medication that has to be given three times a day) and have a relatively stable routine of eating, playing, walking, napping, sunning, eating, playing, napping, walking. While I have extensive skills in all types of animal care, we are looking only for energetic, friendly and playful friends and usually require a meet and greet before we commit to caring for your pup. If your pup has special needs, separation anxiety, or behavior related to being in another place, let me know! We can work together to ensure your dog doesn’t have behaviors that would hurt himself or harm property and ensure they have a relaxing time with us. I can give subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, medication, basic first aid if necessary, but again, looking for those fun playful idiots, er, goobers I mean. Our availability is up for when the child that occupies the home won't be there since most dogs don't LOVE younger kids (he's six) but if your dog is comfortable with kids and we've sat for you before, we are open to sitting longer than our schedule shows. But I'm very cautious with all dogs and kids since MOST dogs find being around children stressful (that being said, PLEASE leash your dogs when you are around children in public parks and playgrounds and always supervise kids and dogs :) I usually ask all non-neutered/spayed or not-yet neutered/spayed dogs and male dogs who have a history of marking to bring a belly band to have on hand so that my 100-year-old original hardwood floors and my cheap amazon carpets don't get tinkled on. Most male dogs do mark in the house initially since there is a another male dog in the house. It just makes the visit go smoother and is good to have on hand anyway. Easy to get one delivered by Chewy too in prep for an upcoming stay. I work from home so the doggie will rarely be home alone and if I do have to go somewhere, I'll schedule them to nap while I'm gone in between play sessions. Please ensure your dog is crate trained and provide a crate (if you don't have one, I do have some) Kongs/Woof toys will be given whenever I leave so it actually is an enrichment time for them. But I rarely leave lol! And if I do I often bring them for a car ride (to pick up or drop off my son from school). But the crate is important because the dogs will nonstop play, wear themselves out, and need breaks from each other. They also need down time and naps! Here is a recent schedule from a sit I did: 6:30-7:30 am: Wake Up, Backyard Play Time, Breakfast 7:30 - 9 am: Play and Morning Walk 9 - 9:30 am: Enrichment in crate (Woof) 9:30 am - 12 pm: Morning Nap (in crate) Between 12 pm - 2 pm: Indoor Play and Short Afternoon Walk 2 - 2:30 pm: Enrichment in crate (Woof) 2:30 pm - 5 pm: Afternoon Nap (in crate) 5 - 6:30 pm: Backyard play and indoor play 6:30 pm - 8 pm: Evening Walk 8 pm and on: Bedtime (in crate) The safety of the humans are the utmost priority for our household, that is why we require a meet and greet. But we do hope to build long term sitting relationships with folks because we do really love dogs and Goober does get lonely and wants his buddies. It is essential that my clients entrust me in taking the best care of your dog, and I think you'll get to know me quickly that the dogs truly have "the life" at my house. The environment is dog safe, with a fenced in back yard, and the house is kid/dog proof. There ARE chickens but they have a separate, secure run and will not be comingling with your dog. If your dog is like Goober and has a strong prey drive and looking for a snack, I just keep the chickens in their coop when your dog is out in the backyard (usually dogs get backyard morning and evening. Chickens get their run during the day). Let me know if you dog can scale a 4 ft. fence!
