About: Honestly, I don't think I've gone more than a few months of my life without a pet around. I grew up with dogs and have since lived with and looked after dobermans, beagles, doodles, pointers, and pitbulls, amongst others, so a big, strong, or stubborn dog doesn't throw me off, and neither does a nervous first-timer. I've also lived with cats for years, so I speak fluent "aloof but secretly obsessed with you." Along the way I've picked up a lot of the extra care stuff almost by accident: giving meds on a schedule, handling a dog with leash reactivity, sticking to a strict routine for an anxious pet, being patient with a senior pet who needs a little more help getting around. I'm not saying I've seen it all, but I've seen a lot, and I actually enjoy the pets who need a bit more thought and attention. They're usually the most rewarding ones to work with. I'm currently a full-time master's student, and don't currently have other part-time work, but I will communicate if that changes in the future. I do have evening classes that are online except for one. Otherwise, I'm available to spend time with your fur babies. I like sitting in your pet's own home when that's an option. It just tends to be less stressful for them than a strange new place. Every pet's a little different, so I'm not going in with a fixed routine; I'd rather figure out what actually works for your dog or cat and stick to that. If your pet needs meds, has a quirk, or gets nervous easily, that's not a dealbreaker for me, if anything, tell me more, because I want to get it right.
“Brittany is such a wonderful lady and our furbabies fell in love with her almost immediately. She house sat with our 2 English Bulldogs and Tabby Cat, while we were out of the country. We never worried about a thing while we were gone. She sent us timely updates and photos, which was so helpful for peace of mind with our Senior Bulldog. I currently work full time from Saturday to Wednesday. My workdays typically last from 8am to 4:30-5:00pm. Thursday and Friday are my days off and I am fully free on those days. My workday hours should be considered if your pet requires frequent bathroom breaks, walks, and medication. I have experience with all types of dogs and cats. Alesha took very good care of our pups and our house while we were out of town for the holidays. She even made sure to run the dishwasher and put the guest bed sheets in the wash for us, which we appreciated! She also regularly provided updates and videos, and took the boys out on daily walks. They seemed to love her! There was a misunderstanding around what time to show up on the first morning (second day), leaving our boys home alone longer than they should have been, but all was good after that. This did cause a bit of a stressful scramble for us trying to find someone else to possibly fill in during that time which we were unable to do. Only reason for the 4 star. I know time gets lost around the holidays, and I would still recommend Alesha and will use her in the future.
I absolutely could not have picked a better sitter! Alesha took care of my cats and my house for a week while I was out of the country. She respected my property and was extremely communicative, and really set my mind at ease. She went above and beyond what I expected in every way, did my laundry, cleaned out and organized my fridges, scrubbed out my filthy kitchen sink so it shines! My cats were sick when she came and one of them had lost weight. I came back to healthy cats and that one has obviously gained weight. My cats loved her judging from the pics she sent me.
