About: I’ve been a dedicated dog owner for years and currently share my home with three large, professionally trained, fully vaccinated dogs. Running a structured, well-managed multi-dog household has given me extensive hands-on experience with different personalities, energy levels, and play styles — especially large breeds. I’ve cared for puppies, foster dogs, and dogs in various stages of training, and I’m comfortable reinforcing structure, maintaining routines, and administering medications when needed. I pay close attention to body language and behavior to ensure calm, positive, and well-supervised interactions at all times. I approach pet care with intention and professionalism. My home isn’t a chaotic free-for-all — it’s a safe, structured, thoughtfully managed environment where dogs can feel secure, stimulated, and genuinely cared for. I treat every dog like part of my pack and hold myself to a high standard of safety, communication, and reliability I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate a wide range of care needs. With enough notice, I can make almost anything work and am happy to coordinate around your travel plans or last-minute changes. I also understand that life happens, so short-notice requests are often welcome whenever I’m available. My goal is to make scheduling easy and stress-free for you. I have extra pet accommodations in my home to help your pet feel welcome. In your home, feel free to provide me with all the details, I will make sure that care for your fur-babies don’t skip a beat.

About: Hi all! I've been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember, but I officially started fostering 5 years ago! I have plenty of experience with senior pets, puppies/kittens, and disabled pets as well. I also have experience working in a vet clinic so I’m very comfortable administering oral medications and have experience handling reactive dogs and spicy kitties! I have 2 furry friends of my own that mean the absolute world to me. Neptune is a 3 years old Lab/basset hound mix I adopted in 2023 and Angel is my sweet kitty girl that has grown with me since 2017. I'm available 7 days a week now for any drop-ins, walks, and/or sitting as needed! I currently do not work as I am going back to school (online) full-time, so I have plenty of time for all the furry friends! While I don't have a fenced in yard, I do live in a very pet friendly and walkable neighborhood and will always ensure pets leashes are secure before all walks/outside time. I have a 3 year old lab retriever mix who is very friendly with all animals and an indoor only cat who keeps to herself, unless she wants cuddles of course! I have experience in puppy training, specifically with crate training and leash walking, from fostering pups in the past.
“It was our first time having someone housesit for our 2 dogs and Alex was great at alleviating any worries and making sure the pups were taken care of while we were gone. She did frequent check-ins and walked them daily. She was also kind enough to take of some housekeeping items which we appreciate so much! We plan on using her services again!”

“Malesa stayed with our two chihuahuas for 7 days. She was amazing, she even cooked for them! My puppies didn’t even miss us!! We are so grateful that she stayed with our puppies!”

“This was our first experience with Rover, and Caitlin did a fabulous job for us. She was 5 out of 5 on good communications and being on time for the meet-and-greet as well as for the sitting appointment. She took great care of our pets, gave them medicine, and let us know how they were doing. I felt like we were leaving our house and our animals in the hands of a very responsible and capable person. My wife and I agree that we would definitely hire Caitlin again and recommend her to friends. Thank you, Caitlin!”

“Thank you Dana for doing such a great job with our two dogs and cat. You house sat for us for three nights and four days. The dogs were extremely happy with the way you played ball with them and let our sweet baby Ren sleep in bed with you we went away out of state to our daughters graduation and you made the experience so comfortable by always responding and sending pictures of the babies while we were gone. I can see why you’re booked out for so long. We will definitely use you again in the future if we’re able to get into your busy calendar. But I understand why you’re so busy thank you so much.”

“My dogs were well cared for with Sophie while we were away, as was my apartment! Sophie cleaned up after her stay and even put our grocery delivery away for us which we did not ask her to do. My dogs had a wonderful time, thank you Sophie!”

“sydney is an absolute dream come true!!! she kept me up to date with my boys while i was gone, walked them, and even kept my house is great condition. the definition of stress free! will definitely use again!”

“Elyssa stayed with our dog Elle for five nights in our home. We got frequent updates and came home to a happy pup and a clean house. Elyssa was very responsive and it was a great experience for us. Highly recommend - thanks Elyssa!”

About: Need a flexible, helping hand for your beloved fur-babies? I'm your gal! I grew up with dogs, and have years of experience pet-sitting for dogs, cats, rabbits, and even ferrets! :) I love all animals & open to new ones too (minus snakes). During the school year, I work FT at an elementary school, but I love to petsit during my summers off—but I am still available during the school year, after school hours and weekends. During the summer, I’m off of work (I work at an elementary school) so I’m flexible when it comes to dropping in or spending time with your pet! I'm available FT during July through the beginning of August, until school begins. After that, my availability changes to after school hours and weekends. Whether it’s a drop in for food, walks, or cuddles, or if your need is me staying overnight—I’m open! I am available to do drop ins or overnight stays with your pet, depending on your need. I’ve done both and can do multiple check-in for feedings, walks, etc. during the day. And/or staying overnight with them if you’re out of town!

“Carol was excellent dog sitter who I would recommend to everyone. She took the time to understand our dogs needs (and tortoises) and text us updates to make sure we felt reassured. An ideal house guest - she kept the place spotless whilst we were away. Thanks carol - we will definitely use you again!!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and grew up helping care for dogs of all sizes and breeds. My dad owns a farm, so I’m very comfortable around larger dogs, including our Bernese Mountain Dog and two German Shepherd mixes, while also caring for smaller breeds like my Yorkie. Over the years, I’ve helped with feeding, walking, grooming, playtime, and everyday care, so I’m confident handling different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’ve also dog-sat multiple times for family friends, many of whom have continued to use my services year after year, which I believe speaks to my reliability and trustworthiness. In addition, I have experience caring for multiple pets at once, including senior dogs and households with different types of animals, such as dogs and birds together. These experiences have made me patient, attentive, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I’m currently working part-time and have a flexible schedule. I’ve also grown up around animals my whole life, so feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and checking in on pets are already a normal part of my day. I enjoy being active and spending time outside, and I’m reliable when it comes to maintaining routines and making sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and well attended to. Safety, trust, and comfort are the most important parts of pet care to me. I make sure pets are always supervised, secure, and cared for in a calm and positive environment. I pay close attention to routines, behavior changes, feeding instructions, and any special needs to help pets feel comfortable and reduce stress while their owners are away. I also understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and entering your home. I’m dependable, respectful, and communicative, and I always strive to treat every pet and home with care. Having experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and ages—including senior dogs—has taught me to be patient, attentive, and adaptable in different situations.
“I’ve used Rover more than 20 times over the years, and Rose was by far the best sitter we’ve ever had! She went above and beyond to ensure we knew our pups were in great hands, keeping us updated and handling every detail with care. She not only met all of our requests but exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommend!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ashland City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ashland City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ashland City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ashland City. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
