Brooke was great and my cat loved her! In the pictures I received my cat looked so happy and ran right up to her. Usually my cat hides for a little bit initially. Brooke also took care of messes my cat had made and made sure everything was cleaned up so when I got home everything was taken care of. I also booked extremely last minute and she made it so seamless and easy! Would definitely recommend!

Mistie is awesome! Our two cats are kind of wild and scared and she came for a meet and great and met them before the week we were gone and they came right up to her and let her pet them. We immediately felt relaxed about her. She’s so kind and friendly and just really good with animals. She’s an animal whisperer! :) She took such good care of them while we were on vacation! She is on time and sent us updates and pics of the visits and went above and beyond what we even expected. We are so happy that they were taken care of so well and we would love to book her again since our cats love her so much!?☺️❤️

Rachel did a great job with our very tentative Lab, Rue. We will definitely book her again. By day 2 Rue seemed at ease going on a walk with Rachel. She sent us photos during her time with Rue. She expressed concern to us at one point because Rue wasn't eating. I knew she was taking good care of our girl, Rue!!

About: I've had dogs most of my life and handled every dog emergency there is. I have kind and gentle nature and have lot's of experience both pups that have endless energy and older dogs that need a little more help. I work part time from home helping women who are caring for their parents so I'm very flexible and can often even change my schedule to fit yours. I feel strongly that the advantage of having pet care in your home is that they get to keep their routine! So my rule is follow instructions while making sure they feel safe and loved.

About: I grew up on a farm most my life. I have taken care of all kinds of animals. From dogs and cats, to cows and bunnies. I was in FFA all through high school and I focused a lot of time on animals. I watched the neighbors animals for 3 years. I can do just about anything you need me to do. I am currently a stay at home mom with a lot of time on my hands. I am home all day every day pretty much. I’m also working to become a vet tech. In my home I have extra stuff for dogs and I also have two crates if they need to be pinned up and I also have lots of treats for good behavior. In your home I can do whatever you need me to do with your pet.

I am more than willing, and capable of making the necessary trips to your home to care for your fur babies in the place they feel the most comfortable.

Presley was really sweet! Bentley fell in love with her within the first couple days of her caring for him! When we returned he was his active, happy self! This was my first time using Rover and it was a great experience!! Presley took pictures each day to let us see the fun she and Bentley had! I will definitely request Presley again for future sittings.

About: Hello! I'm a caring, reliable dog lover who treats every pup like family! My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and happy while you are away! Slowly transitioning into opening my own business. I have a limited amount of clients at this time so this leaves lots of free time to fill and care for your pup! I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I focus on creating a calm, loving, and fun environment while you’re away. I follow your pet’s routine closely—including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and playtime—so they feel comfortable and secure. Whether your pet loves cuddles, needs extra patience, or just enjoys quiet companionship, I adjust my care to fit their personality. Safety is always my top priority. I keep a close eye on your pet, make sure they’re comfortable at all times, and handle medications or special needs with care and confidence. You’ll also receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for you, and lots of tail wags along the way 🐕💕

Mistie is absolutely wonderful. I am so grateful I found her to care for my baby. She truly goes the extra mile and made sure everything was taken care of, which gave me so much peace of mind while traveling. I felt completely safe knowing Boogy was in such good hands. I would not hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet care.

Lisa is great! She watched my Cat very last minute and she was very thorough and quick to respond if I had any questions or issues. Also had to change some of the schedule around and she was very flexible and made it seamless. She changed the litter box every time which I wasn’t even expecting so that was above and beyond. And in the end I think my Siberian Cat absolutely loved having someone to talk to and play with! Definitely recommend Lisa if you want someone you can trust.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Ashland City stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ashland City. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
