Because of her, medications, special diets, navigating complex care plans, and noticing subtle changes are very familiar territory. Willow, my timid rescue who went from foster to family came to us fearful of nearly everything (ceilings and shadows being the scariest) and she didn’t even know what a bed was. Since then, we’ve been learning brave together, slowly discovering that new people, places, and experiences can be safe. Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. About: I have owned dogs throughout my life and have watched the dogs of friends often! I am experienced in caring for their basic needs, and I enjoy giving them a memorable and fun experience by going to the dog park, engaging in play, or simply chilling on the couch! I also know how to do basic grooming, such as bathing and nail trimming, but not hair trimming. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, and know how to administer medication and am adaptable to any other accommodations they may require. I offer flexible daytime availability for walks and drop-ins throughout the Nashville area, and I do my best to accommodate each pet’s routine whenever possible. Safety comes first in everything I do. I carefully follow feeding routines, medication schedules, supplement instructions, exercise restrictions, and any veterinarian recommendations provided by owners. I’m especially attentive to pets with mobility concerns, senior pets, or pets with special routines. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, hydration, and overall well-being and will communicate regularly so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away.
About: Hi, I’m Anusha! I have the great advantage of being able to work from home so I have a very flexible schedule. I have a two year doggo that stays with me every few months (co-parenting) but when she’s at her other home, I miss having a dog so much! Therefore, I’m here to provide all the walks, fetch, belly rubs and love your fur baby could desire. I can take your dog out for bathroom breaks or walks as much as needed. About: I’ve been a dog person for as long as I can remember! I grew up with Airedale Terriers and started caring for other people’s pets early - from neighborhood dog walker in middle school, to go-to pet sitter in college, and eventually an experienced Rover sitter. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, along with cats, small animals, and even a chameleon. My own three dogs have expanded that experience even further. Maia, my beagle and soul dog, has seizures, chronic elevated liver enzymes, allergies, a time-sensitive medication regimen, and a customized diet. Her care involves multiple veterinary specialists, and she’s been through emergency surgery, specialty dental care, and most recently a liver biopsy. Because of her, medications, special diets, navigating complex care plans, and noticing subtle changes are very familiar territory. Willow, my timid rescue who went from foster to family came to us fearful of nearly everything (ceilings and shadows being the scariest) and she didn’t even know what a bed was. Since then, we’ve been learning brave together, slowly discovering that new people, places, and experiences can be safe. She’s taught me so much about reading body language, encouraging without pushing, and recognizing when a nervous dog simply needs patience and space. I have a huge soft spot for shy and fearful dogs, especially the ones who make you earn their trust. Ghost, our senior pitty, has given me plenty of experience with big personalities, sassy attitudes, and high energy dogs. He recently was diagnosed with cancer and had a tumor removal followed by particularly complicated wound healing, so prolonged recovery, wound care, medications, and activity restrictions (even when they don’t want it) have become familiar territory too. Between the three, I’ve worked with very different dogs with very different starting points, training and routines. I’m happy to maintain established commands, boundaries, and training for consistency, or follow a more relaxed routine if you prefer simply keeping your pet safe, happy, and loved. I’m here to follow what works best for your fur baby! 🤍 Professionally, I spent seven years as a critical care nurse and I’m now an ICU nurse practitioner. Human and veterinary medicine are very different, but detailed instructions, precise schedules, noticing subtle changes, and staying calm when something unexpected happens are second nature to me. Most importantly, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of Rover. Please give me the detailed instructions, medication schedules, fears, quirks, and weird little things only you notice — I genuinely want to know. I’d love to meet your pet exactly where they are and care for them the way I’d want someone to care for mine 🐾 I recently moved to Nashville and have a little over a month before starting my new position, so my availability is currently wide open! I’m naturally a night owl, so early mornings, evenings, and unconventional hours don’t scare me 😂 My goal is to fit into your pet’s world, not expect them to fit into mine. I’d love to learn their normal routine, household rules, training, favorite things, fears, and what makes them feel safest, whether that’s cuddles and constant companionship or simply being given a little space. I’m especially aware of environmental safety, medications, dietary restrictions, doors/gates, and keeping tempting objects away from curious mouths (my beagle has taught me well 😂). For nervous pets, I’m happy to slow things down and let them decide when they’re ready to interact. About: I have been volunteering with and advocating for animal welfare since I was a teenager. I have my own pets and I actively volunteer at an animal sanctuary in NE Tennessee. Your pets will be loved, safe, and cared for. I have a leadership position at my job and my days are flexible. I am generally able to leave work to walk and return. I live in Nashville. I have two dogs if your pet needs company. I can also leave them at home if need be as I have a very trusted roommate who I will split rover funds with. One of my dogs is elderly and VERY well behaved and the other is about seven, loves to play, and is also very well behaved. I am familiar with crating, training, and need for routine. I can administer most types of medicine. I even had to give my pig injections when he was sick!
About: Since the age of 10, I've been pet sitting and training dogs, earning awards for excellence. I've also provided care for numerous cats and diverse dog breeds, while owning chickens, fueled by a genuine love for all animals. I’ve raised dogs from puppy stages all the way to their senior years and want to give them their best life. I currently work remote from home through the afternoon. I’m excited to get to take care of your pets and get more exercise in the day. I will give them love, exercise and a safe place to be in while their owners are out. About: i’ve taken care of animals for about 8 years now. i have also had at least 1 dog and cat for my entire life. i have 3 dogs and a cat myself (including a 16 year old beagle)!! i love animals soso much and think they deserve the absolute best from everyone. i often drive around handing out pet supplies to homeless with animals as well. im currently part time in school and work! i usually have class 8am-1pm but have an awkward break until work at 4pm-11pm. on my off days i am completely available and always looking for stuff to do! i have a fenced in yard for my 3 dogs and keep my cat inside. i often take one of the dogs to run errands with me and explore for some enrichment and fun! i don’t take my elderly dog (16) out too much due to his lipomas (fat tumors- typical for beagles) interfering with his hip/leg movement during long walks. he does get plenty of attention and fun at home though!
About: I love caring for animals and discovering their unique personalities. My whole life I’ve always had a cat or dog living with me, whether it be mine or my roommates. Making sure they know they are loved and safe is my top priority. I am an Assistant Director in the film and Television industry, during my downtime between jobs I have an ample amount of time in my days. With dogs I work hard to build a level of trust between me and the pup. Consistency and repetition is key for me. Each dog is different so it takes some effort to get to understand them.
