“I can tell Chief had a great time playing and came home happy and tired. I loved all the updates I received while I was away for the weekend. This was our first boarding experience and couldn’t ask for a better one. We would definitely use Joel and Crystal again in the future.”

“We have a rescue dog who is nervous in new situations but Dee Dee was wonderful with her. She gave her a great atmosphere to feel calm and welcome, and then plenty of pets when our pup was ready. Dee Dee was communicative, cheerful, and sent us lots of photos, which we loved. We are definitely going to reach out to Dee Dee the next time we go out of town. She’s so delightful!”

“Erin was at the door waiting for our dogs to escort the dogs into her home for drop off. She also brought the dogs to the door at pick up. The dogs came home, happy and healthy and glad to see us. ✅.”

“We are so grateful for your family and your love for our dogs. We do not have to stress or worry when they are in your care. Thank you for all the pictures and updates of our boys.”

“Spence had a great time! He was knocked out when I picked him up and was loved and cared for very much! He was able to go to the coast and play with many dogs :) definitely will be coming back”

“Great care for our Minka! Consistent updates with pics. Daily trips to the dog park. Very pleased with the care of our dog. Will definitely continue to use them in the future.”

About: Hello I’m Griffin, I moved to Eugene last September to accept a job with a local nonprofit. I absolutely love dogs, to the point where my entire social media algorithm just presents me with puppy videos (all dogs are puppies to me.) I grew up with dogs, specifically Labradors, Cairn terriers and a Yorkie. When I was in Peace Corps in Ukraine, I had adopted a street dog and named him Dantinos. Sadly due to pandemic I was unable to bring my buddy back. There’s a big dog shaped hole in my heart. So, I decided to give this a try. My nonprofit job, while rewarding and interesting, isn’t cutting it for the cost of living today. I work full time but have remote work flexibility and live within a few minutes walking distance from my place of work- so whether it’s boarding or drop-ins, or walks, there’s a great opportunity to make it work. I would love to meet and pet and give your puppy some scratches if you’ll have me. I’ve got 35 years experience because I’ve grown with dogs all my life; and while I am not able to care for my own right now, taking a stroll with your puppy might be a win win win situation. I work full time, but have remote work flexibility and given a day or two in advance could likely block off some time to visit or walk a pet. Especially after lunch, when scheduled meetings are less frequent. When it comes to boarding- my work is literally a 5-8 min walk from my apartment- so even if I need to be in the office, coming back for potty breaks are not a problem. Fridays are generally half days, giving a little more flexibility I care for dogs by giving them love and affection when they want it. I’ve got a weakness for giving a dog treats with those pleading eyes, but I promise that I would never feed another persons dog anything not allowed, and certainly know to avoid over feeding. Eugene is a beautiful place and I think it would be a pleasure to take a stroll with your dog.
“We had Ying watch our kitty cat, Mr. Ribs, for a week while we were away. He was a fantastic cat sitter. He sent tons of pictures and videos and kept us updated with his sleeping and eating habits. Ying played with Mr. Ribs and kept him entertained. This was comforting for us as the little guy loves people, so leaving him alone or isolated was not an option. Ying was a great companion for the kitty, and we will definitely use him in the future.”

“Tessa and her family were absolutely wonderful. They sent me updates consistently throughout my entire trip. They spoiled my pup, took him on walks, let him play in the pool, and overall treated him like he was their own. I can’t recommend them enough.”

“Maddy is knowledgeable, caring and very communicative. She was able to take our dog on short notice while were were dealing with come emergencies. She understands and is very experienced with dogs (and their humans) and left us feeling very at ease. I would definitely recommend reaching out to her for caring for your dog!!!”

“Joshua was great! My dog is pretty high energy and she had a great time and came back so tired and happy. He was excellent with communication and sent plenty of pics too (:”

“Angle took great care of my dog! I received regular updates, photos & videos & my pup. He loved playing with Tahoe & the other Rover friends. My dog came back happy, tired & content. He had such a blast on his mini vacation! Thanks Angie!”

“We are so grateful to Amy & Rob for taking such wonderful care of our dog! We felt that they listened to our care instructions and concerns and felt confident throughout our pup's stay. Amy & Rob were attentive, kind, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay - and provided photos of our dog's meds being administered which we appreciated so much. Our dog came back happy and well-cared for, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Cecilia was so wonderful with Daisy. The daily updates and pictures were great. It almost seemed like she was with her second family ? I would definitely recommend Cecilia and use her again!”

“Cole is amazing!! Our dog is very high energy so we worry about leaving him, but Cole did a great job meeting Monty’s needs and making sure he had plenty of exercise and enrichment. We will definitely be hiring Cole going forward! He’s very experienced and knowledgeable and I know we can leave our pup with him and not worry.”

“Tho things don’t always work out the way you plan it somehow is going to be fine. Julie is communicative and pleasant. I had a need for flexibility and it was accommodated.”

“My dog Willow was so excited when she met Michelle that it was easy to leave and know she was in good hands. Dogs are good judges of character. It was so nice to receive daily updates and photos while we were gone. All truthful because we know our pup is not perfect. They seemed to figure Willow out quickly and worked with her so everyone could enjoy themselves (especially Michelle’s cat!). Thank you, Thank you Michelle and Anthony. We hope it will work out again so when we travel we can relax and Willow can have a great time as well!”

Jefferson Westside dog parents share their Rover experiences
Our pups did well with Claire on their first stay! Claire was very communicative and sent photos too. She was very patient and understanding of letting our girls adjust to a new environment. Claire is very knowledgeable and gave us a few helpful recommendations as well.

Lauren was an amazing pet sitter. My little guy had so much fun going on walks, going to the dog park and even up Spencer's Butte. Then enjoyed lots of snuggles. Lauren sent lots of pictures with updates on what they were up to. It was so appreciated and made us feel so at ease. He was in great hands. I will definitely book with Lauren again!!

Michelly is WONDERFUL! I have boarded my dog Ruby with her for a few trips and I have been so happy with the experience. I have used a few different sitters on Rover and I have settled on the best - I would never go anywhere else (unless she was unavailable!). She is so good with Ruby, she is friendly and her whole family is very sweet too. Since she is home full-time, she has been flexible when my plans change and I need to adjust pickup and dropoff, and it means I can continue booking with her because she has so much availability! Ruby really enjoys her time there and gets to play with Michelly's dog as well as the other dogs being boarded or there for daycare. I can tell she takes very good care of Ruby and she is always sure to share a photo :) I'm in North Eugene so it is a bit of a trek for me to get to her house, and it is SO worth it to have someone so reliable that I can trust my dog with.

Madie was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Penny. Penny is shy, and I was nervous about leaving her with someone new, but Madie immediately put me at ease. She sent frequent updates and photos that clearly showed Penny happy, relaxed, and comfortable in her care. Madie kept me informed about how much Penny was eating, took her on walks, and even brought her to her favorite park. She was also very accommodating about me bringing Penny’s kennel and bedding, which helped Penny settle in more easily. I felt confident the entire time I was away, and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to have Madie watch Penny again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, attentive, and trustworthy sitter.

We needed a sitter last minute and Susie was everything we could have asked for. She and Bowser became fast friends as evidenced by his staying beside her even when I came to pick him up. She kept us in the loop sending photos and updates throughout his stay. Susie will be at the top of our list the next time we need someone to stay with Bowser.
