“We are so grateful for Isaiah! We had to leave town last minute, and he worked with us every step of the way. He came by beforehand to meet our dogs and has a lot of experience. One of our dogs is a new adoption, and she really only likes me, but he was able to get her to a place where she was comfortable and not stressed around him. That alone says a lot about how good he is. He was accommodating to whatever we needed during the sit and was respectful of our home. When we got back, our pets were happy, relaxed, and acting completely like themselves. We’ve had experiences in the past where you could immediately tell the level of care they received, and this was the opposite. It truly felt like they had been cared for the way we would care for them. Isaiah was that person. We will definitely be reaching out to him again in the future.”

About: I've had my dog 15+ years and fostered dogs for many years before that. My dog Snork and I take 3 walks a day and comes with me to work each day. I love my little guy! Since Snork is a senior dog and he can't walk as far as he used to, I'm looking for more opportunities to walk and enjoy dogs! I currently work a 9-5 job so I'm able to care for your pet after 5:30pm on weekdays or anytime on weekends. I would consider some mornings on a short term basis. I would prefer to care for your pet from your home; however, in some cases, I can care for a pet in my home. I have a fenced in backyard and live near a wooded walking path.

About: I have experience caring for both puppies (even during potty training) and senior pets with special medication and mobility needs. I have pet sat for numerous families with senior pets and have been successful in meeting all needs and providing the best care possible. I would love to do the same for your pet! I am in my 4th year of medical school, so my schedule is more flexible than an average full time job. I often have odd shifts or hours, so I can tend to pets at times where others may not be able to! I am willing to fit caring for your pet into my schedule however I can. I currently have 1 cat who lives in my apartment. I am so excited for the day we move to a home where we can build him a cat patio (or catio as we lovingly refer to it as), but for now he loves sitting in the window and seeing all of the sights outside! My goal is to meet all of your pet's needs, from physical to emotional and psychological. About: My dream life is to own 50 acres of land and rescue and save ALL THE DOGS! But in the meantime, I foster, adopt, rescue and care for as many dogs as I can, whenever I can. I have been taking care of large dogs for all of my adult life, rescuing dozens of dogs from the streets of Atlanta to beginning my fostering journey this past December while residing in Florida. I have gotten every dog I have fostered into a forever, loving home with a few foster fails along the way :) (oops). I will feed your dog, administer medicine if necessary, play with your dog, work on training if you request, clean up any messes, and anything else in between that is in accordance to your doggo's daily schedule. About: Hi, my name is Gilbrith! I have lived in Richmond for 10 years and have recently graduated with a masters degree in mental health counseling. I work weekends at a puppy yoga studio - but am looking for more fuzzy companionship! Growing up, my home never had less than two dogs at a time, each of which were considered an equal member of the family. As a child, my parents instilled in me an immense love and respect for animals, and I was taught to anticipate and attend to our dogs' needs from a young age. Besides being surrounded by dogs my entire adolescence, I have been a pet sitter for friends, family members, roommates and colleagues for over 8 years. I have experience caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters. I am comfortable with puppies and senior dogs, and have some experience with medication management and dogs with special medical needs. I am certified in pet first aid and CPR. I currently have a flexible schedule. I work 2 days a month at the yoga studio. I live a relatively quiet life and am a bit of a homebody, allowing me to spend more quality time with your pet! My top priority is making your pet feel as safe and relaxed as possible, and keeping them in their own home, and in their usual routine, is the best way I know to do this. I send updates to my clients several times throughout the course of the day, unless otherwise requested, sending pictures and letting you know how your pets are doing, while also leaving an open line of contact for any questions or concerns either party may have.
