Pet care experience
With 9 years of experience as a veterinary assistant, I bring both professional medical knowledge and genuine compassion to every pet I care for. I have extensive hands-on experience with cats and dogs of all ages, temperaments, and health conditions, including seniors, anxious pets, and animals requiring medications or specialized care. Working in veterinary medicine has taught me how to recognize subtle changes in behavior and health, respond calmly in stressful situations, and tailor care to each animal’s individual needs. Beyond my professional experience, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is deeply personal, and I strive to provide the same level of attentiveness, patience, and affection that I would want for my own pets. Whether your dog needs long walks and playtime or your cat prefers quiet companionship and routine, I create a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while you’re away.

Brenda is a literal angel on earth. I know we will never find someone else even remotely close to how amazing she is to house sit and watch our dogs for us. If you book with Brenda, you will be giving your pets and yourself a luxury service. Our two dogs are 1.5yrs and 9mos and Old English Bulldogs. They are clever, stubborn, sweet, smart and all the things. I’m home every day with them between night shifts and am well aware of the challenges, constant upkeep, entertaining them, etc., I left instructions regarding what a normal day looks like at our home for Brenda and she blew my husband and I out of the water as far as dog parenting goes! She did enrichment activities, lots of exercise, training, critical thinking skills, and was with them the entire time we were gone minus some short errands. We’ve never left our dogs before and had to make a somewhat last minute, very stressful trip to visit family. I was so anxious and Brenda’s presence, her updates, and great conversations took the anxiety away the very first day we were gone. It was the best feeling! I knew we didn’t have to worry about anything at all other than spending time with my family. Coming home, excited to see our dogs, we walked into a house that appeared as if a cleaning service came, fresh cookies made on the counter for us, and two very relaxed, well behaved, sleepy dogs who obviously had a long day of fun! All we had to do was unpack and relax with our babies!!! I cannot recommend Brenda enough!!!! We are hoping she wants to come back. She did 50000% more than we ever would’ve asked of someone. And if we were rich, I would offer her a full time position in our lives as our dog nanny, trainer, bestie for the dogs and housekeeper!!! Thank you so, so, so much!!!! <3
I don't think I can think of a more devoted, gentle, responsible, or caring pet caregiver than Brenda. While Brenda can give wonderful, compassionate care to any animal species, she shines the brightest with kitties - especially shy, ill, or older kitties that might struggle with the change of going out of town. I have been a small animal veterinarian for 17 years and worked in a veterinary clinic setting side by side with Brenda, and while I am so sorry my patients no longer get the blessing of her calm, loving presence at the clinic, I am thrilled to have her to recommend as a petsitter. Brenda is soft spoken and gentle and has a quiet, intuitive understanding of animals, and extensive knowledge of animal behavior and body language. I have had many occasions working with her where she advocated for an animal that couldn't speak for itself - sometimes when a pet was in our clinic for a routine reason, say a nail trim, she was amazing at identifying subtle problems that might need a vet to take a second look, or make a truly inovative plan for how to help a scared pet have a better mental health experience. She used to sew little catnip pillows in her free time for our patients and send them home as a gift for the kitties. She can get any animal to take a pill without ruining any relationships, and she can tempt the shy little violets out from under the bed to have a sip of water and eat dinner. This woman is intelligent, super skillful in low stress handling techniques, eternally gentle, astute at catching issues early, and has limitless compassion for animals. She also is a kind, thoughtful, and caring coworker and generally lovely person to have around, emitting her mellow grace. I have observed over and over again how she talks to and treats people's kitties and pets when their owner is not around, and I would trust her completely with the most emotionally or physically fragile pets I have ever worked with. She is an absolute gem and cat whisperer, and I can only wish her luck in her new adventure because I love her so much, as I'm so sad I don't get to have her working at my side every day elevating the care I give.
Brenda walked my Australian Shepherds before and also has pet sat them at her house before multiple times. They were always happy to see her and loved the time they spent with her. She treated them like they were her own dogs with the utmost love and care. Given that Brenda also has extensive animal medical history experience, she makes an ideal candidate for anyone who is looking for a dog walker or pet sitter. She is also especially in-tune with cats and understands them on a deep level. If you hire Brenda to care for your pet/pets your fur baby/babies will be in the best hands, rest assured!
Brenda is truly an exceptional pet sitter, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From the moment that I met her, it was clear that she brings not only genuine care and warmth, but also a deep level of knowledge and professionalism thanks to her veterinary background. Some pets can be a bit particular, but Brenda handled them with incredible patience and understanding. She quickly picked up on their personalities, routines, and little quirks, making them feel comfortable and safe in her care. Knowing she has hands-on veterinary experience gives her an extra layer of confidence—especially when it comes to recognizing subtle changes in behavior or health. She takes the time to give updates with thoughtful messages and photos, which really will put your mind at ease. It’s rare to find someone who combines compassion, reliability, and medical knowledge so seamlessly. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets like family and bring expert-level care to the table, Brenda is absolutely the one to trust.
