“We’re so pleased with how our pups were cared for. They received lots of love and attention while we were away. We were kept up to date with pictures that showed us our fur babies were happy. I highly recommend Kaela for taking care of your pets.”

“Natalie did an amazing job. I have used a couple dog sitters from Rover and have to say she is the best. I’m very particular about who watches my 3 English Bulldogs. They can be quite high maintenance. She made me very comfortable with periodic check ins with photos of my fur babies. I would highly recommend her and can’t wait to use her services again.”
“Olivia took excellent care of my dog, my cat, and my sister's dog as well! She stayed in my home for a three day, two night petsitting request, and she took great care of my house & belongings as well. Olivia is very pleasant to be around, and the animals loved her. She'll provide plenty of cuddle time as well as play time, and she follows detailed instructions without issue. I'd certainly hire her again. Thank you!”

“Nina is wonderful, although I would love to gate keep her for myself 😂 I must be honest and say how amazing she is! She is very flexible and She communicates well!! She kept me updated and sent pictures of my baby and I came home to a sparkling clean house with fresh sheets on the bed and a happy dog. I highly recommend her and she really is a blessing to us dog parents!! Thanks Nina!”

“We have had several pet sitters and Valeria is by far the best one. Her attention to detail and instructions on care of Karma was perfect. We would highly recommend Valeria to anyone looking for a excellent caring pet sitter.”

About: My parents have always had a pet. I have been around my pets or friends' pets my entire life. Since 2013, I have had the privilege of being a private dog-sitter in the Ann Arbor, MI area. However, I have recently moved to Las Vegas, and I am looking to continue the rewarding job that is dog-sitting. I am comfortable walking and feeding your dog. Depending on the process, I can also give any prescribed medication. If you own more than one pet, I have plenty of experience with multi-pet households. I work from home, so I can be around as much as needed to ensure your loved one has a pleasant experience while you are away. Before booking, I always appreciate a meet and greet with you and your dog to help establish a bond with them. I take pride in my ability to bond with pets and follow any and all instructions left by owners. When you are away for whatever reason, you can trust that your pet is being taken care of in a loving, responsible manner. I work as an online tutor, so I can be at your home morning, afternoon, and evening. I can also set my schedule to allow for walks or breaks your dog needs and give them the attention they need throughout the day. Your dog's safety and your home's security are my top priorities. I will keep a watchful eye on your dog and follow any instructions you provide. I enjoy providing you regular updates on your dog. I can also only contact you in case of emergency and everything in between. I will clean up after myself and your dog and will do laundry if needed. I am a guest in your home, and I will treat it with respect and leave it as I found it.
“Our three pups had a fantastic time. They were tended to and cared for with so much genuine attention and kindness we couldn’t have asked for a more stress-free experience while we were gone for the entire day! we received adorable videos and photos during the sitting and had a glowing report upon our return. Highly recommend and will absolutely be requesting them again!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! :))”

About: I have over 4 years of experience working as a veterinary assistant at a local veterinary clinic here in Las Vegas, where I’ve gained valuable knowledge in animal health, behavior, and compassionate pet care. Working closely with animals every day has strengthened my passion for providing safe, attentive, and loving care to pets of all kinds. Before moving to Las Vegas, I owned and operated a small dog walking and pet-sitting business in Hawaii for 2 years. This experience allowed me to work with a wide variety of dogs/cats and personalities while building strong relationships with both pets and their owners. I am a loving, kind, and compassionate caregiver who treats every fur baby as if they were my own. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in caring and experienced hands. 🐾❤️ I’m currently a stay-at-home mom looking to earn some extra income to help support my son. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available whenever you need me. I’d love the opportunity to help you care for your pets where ever I can! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions. My home is clean, pet-friendly, and provides a safe, supervised environment where your pet will receive plenty of love, attention, and exercise. If your pet prefers their own space or needs to be separated from other animals, I’m able to accommodate that. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll treat your home with the utmost respect while ensuring your pet feels comfortable and well cared for in their familiar environment. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and in good hands.
“Sierra was house sitting our Belgian malinois Ayva. She said right the way that she doesn't have an experience with this type of breed yet. We explained all the details and directions to take while she was here with our dog. It was easy stay with no issues. She sent pictures to us daily to make sure that we know our dog is fine. House was clean as well, which was very important.”

About: Growing up, I took care of my Australian terrier, which led me to pet sitting. I’ve been pet sitting since I was 14, caring for pets of all ages. I’ve worked with dogs as small as Malteses to larger breeds like German Shepherds. I love fur babies and treat them like my own children I work part time with a pretty flexible schedule, so I’ll have a lot of time to play with your fur children. I mainly work in the mornings to mid day, but again it’s a flexible job so it really depends. Weekends I’m completely free and dedicate my time to hanging out with my furry friends. When house sitting, I make an effort to understand the dog’s preferences. I strive to be a built-in playmate and discover their likes. However, I’ve also worked with some reserved dogs, and I’ve noticed that they prefer to keep to themselves. No matter the personality, I still manage to connect to them. I have experience working with a diabetic dog in which I injected insulin into her twice daily. As well as a senior dog who was around 14 years old.
“Daly was wonderful with our pups! She took extra care of them and our house! Our dogs have quite a bit of needs and we have very specific directions and she followed them all which is very appreciated. She also communicated daily which helped ease my brain and actually enjoy my trip. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Savannah was an excellent and responsive sitter! She communicated frequently on our dog’s status and let us know immediately if she had any concerns. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14 years of age. This also includes fish and exotic pet care (birds and rodents)! I currently work part-time, and so I am available most evenings and weekends. I can even petsit during holidays as I am often free. This fits my schedule as I just have a bit too much free time than I think necessary. I have a fenced yard for my husky and my roommate's dog. I have two cats of my own that I clean their litter weekly. Feed and give water to them daily. I often hang around my cats in the office while I am working, and we snuggle when it's bedtime. As for dogs, when my husky was a puppy I taught her how to sit and laydown, take her out for walks currently and do play with her. She's spoiled with treats.
“Jorie was an excellent and responsible sitter. My dog immediately warmed up to her and she kept me updated on my dog's status while I was away for the day. Will definitely be booking Jorie again!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Jean
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,552 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Jean. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Jean walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Jean maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Jean choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
