“We have had several pet sitters and Valeria is by far the best one. Her attention to detail and instructions on care of Karma was perfect. We would highly recommend Valeria to anyone looking for a excellent caring pet sitter.”

“Nicky is so loving to the pets. This time there was a mistake/misunderstanding about the timing and Nicky handled it kindly and professionally, and made sure to reassure me and apologize profusely. I will hire her again in the future.”

“Daly was wonderful with our pups! She took extra care of them and our house! Our dogs have quite a bit of needs and we have very specific directions and she followed them all which is very appreciated. She also communicated daily which helped ease my brain and actually enjoy my trip. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Jorie was an excellent and responsible sitter. My dog immediately warmed up to her and she kept me updated on my dog's status while I was away for the day. Will definitely be booking Jorie again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14 years of age. This also includes fish and exotic pet care (birds and rodents)! I currently work part-time, and so I am available most evenings and weekends. I can even petsit during holidays as I am often free. This fits my schedule as I just have a bit too much free time than I think necessary. I have a fenced yard for my husky and my roommate's dog. I have two cats of my own that I clean their litter weekly. Feed and give water to them daily. I often hang around my cats in the office while I am working, and we snuggle when it's bedtime. As for dogs, when my husky was a puppy I taught her how to sit and laydown, take her out for walks currently and do play with her. She's spoiled with treats.
About: I have had pets my whole life! I’ve taken care of elderly, new borns, puppies, big dogs, cats, turtles, fish, birds and more. I’m a real animal lover. 🩷 I am very flexible & can work out any schedule! I’m currently working part-time. My schedule isn’t the same every week but I can accommodate as much as I can! I just need at least 2 weeks notice, but sometimes I can accommodate in case of emergent pet care. I am very adamant about pets safety. Having pets in this generation is like having kids! I will provide the most loving and safe service I can offer to your children.
“Olivia took such great care of our little ones and the house while we were away. Definitely booking again in the future. She took lots of pictures so we were never worried while we were gone. Thank you Olivia!!!”

About: Dogs are my passion. I have raised many dogs from birth to bottle feeding, potty training, adolescent years, on through their senior years and even beyond the rainbow bridge. I’ve dealt with everything from stubborn learners, disabilities, and more. Very observant and keen on a dog’s needs. Experienced with many breeds, including but not limited to Dobermans, Pitbull terriers, American Bullies, Poodles, Jack Russells, etc. I wake up happy to care for my pets as well as yours. I have an Open Schedule. I’m available for whatever your pet needs. I care for every pet as if they are my own. Tender and patient, loving and always FUN! Each pet is unique and needs to be treated as such.
“Sharon did an amazing job taking care of our dog Ramsay for 8 days over the Christmas holiday. He was relaxed and happy with Sharon’s care, and even allowed to sleep along side her at night; which is his normal routine. He is a very ball obsessed guy, and she kept him entertained by cooperating with his game!! She sent us many fun pictures, that we enjoyed so much! We highly recommend Sharon for the care of your fur babies!!”

About: Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I am currently a college student who is taking online courses at UNLV, so I’m always home and have all the time in the world to take care of your pet. I have a fenced yard, I have so much space in my house, and a very clean and very safe environment for all your pets.

About: Im new too Rover, but I have around 2 years of experience caring for dogs while being in college through helping friends and family! During that time I’ve helped feeding, walking, playtime, and sometimes overnight care if they were going on vacation. I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I understand how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their dogs are being cared for with intention and love. 😊 I’m currently free for the summer so I have very flexible availability until my classes start up again in August! I would prefer to walk in the mornings due to Vegas heat being too hot for little paws but I am open to whatever is needed About once or twice a week I help take care of my grandparents dog on various days when they need me they are retired so every couple of months they go on cruises and I am usually the one who stays at their house to care for their dog
“Keisha is an excellent dog sitter! She kept me informed with frequent pictures and texts. I felt very confident that our dog was in good hands. I highly recommend her! Carolyn Parmelee”

About: I started taking care of dogs in September of 2025 at dog daycares. It’s not long, but I’ve learned so much in 6 months and I’m truly happy to be able to take care of dogs. I’m able to read body language if dogs are scared, uncomfortable, or agitated, I’ll be able to help. I’ve administered medications to dogs that need, even if the dog is being difficult. It is my duty to make sure that each dog is attended to and cared for. I’m a college student looking for work over the summer, so my schedule will allow me to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day. I am available at any time when needed to do walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care. I make sure every pet receives regular exercise, playtime, companionship, and a consistent routine while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a clean, secure, and loving environment where dogs can feel relaxed and at home. I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any special care requests. I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I worked as a kennel technician at a dog daycare, so all this comes naturally to me!

FAQs for House Sitting - Roach
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 717 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Roach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Roach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Roach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Roach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Roach. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
