About: Hi, I’m a lifelong animal lover with many years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’m 45 years old, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats starting when I was 9 years old, and over the years I’ve cared for cats as well as dogs of all sizes — from tiny 5 lb pups to large dogs over 150 lbs. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, comfort level, and needs. Whether your pet is playful and energetic, shy and nervous, senior and slow-moving, or just loves attention and cuddles, I will treat them with patience, kindness, and respect. I have experience with both small and large dogs, multiple-pet households, and cats with different temperaments. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to give your pets the same care and attention I would want for my own. I’m dependable, caring, and comfortable following your instructions closely, including feeding routines, walks, litter box care, playtime, medication reminders if needed, and giving updates so you know your pets are doing well. My schedule allows me to make pet care a priority, and I’m dependable about following each pet’s normal routine. I understand how important consistency is, so I do my best to keep pets comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping their normal routine as close as possible. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, litter box care, and any special needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pets are cared for in the environment they already know. I give dogs and cats attention based on their personality, whether they need active play, gentle care, cuddles, or quiet companionship. Because I have experience with cats and dogs of all sizes, from 5 lb dogs to dogs over 150 lbs, I’m comfortable adjusting my care to fit each pet. I treat every pet like family and do my best to make sure they are happy, safe, and well cared for while their owner is away.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals on my Granny’s farm, so caring for pets has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. In my own home, we had three dogs and four cats, and animals were never just pets, they were family. My mom was a veterinary technician for 15 years, and she regularly brought home injured or recovering animals that needed rehabilitation. Through that experience, I learned how to safely handle pets in all kinds of situations and environments. She passed down extensive hands-on knowledge to me, including how to recognize warning signs, respond calmly in emergencies, and administer medications. I’ve even assisted with IV fluids for a dog when needed. Because of this background, I’m comfortable caring for pets who may need extra patience, medical attention, or routine based care. I bring more experience than the average sitter and take your pet’s safety, comfort, and while still giving them plenty of love, attention, and reassurance I have an open and flexible schedule, so I’m able to give pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency throughout the day. I’m available for early mornings, mid-day visits, evenings, and weekends. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes so pets can stay in the environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. I follow your pet’s established routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care instructions. I’m attentive to behavior changes, health needs, and comfort levels, especially for pets who may be anxious, senior, or require medical care. I keep the home clean and secure, ensure doors and gates are properly locked, and respect household rules at all times. I prioritize communication and send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away

About: I have taken care of dogs for the last 20 years. I recently lost my dog in February at the age of 15. This has left a void in my life and helping others with their dogs has been helpful through this period of my life. My current living situation prevents me from getting another dog, hence me joining Rover! I ride bikes and skateboards with dogs to keep them healthy and happy. I love outdoor activities with dogs, such as the beach and nature trails. I work evenings so my availability is mostly daytime hours as well as overnight hours. While living in California, I took up part time dog walking because I love dogs and had the time to help while others worked. I have always been a dog person and will care for your dog as if he/she is my own.

Because I’m still in school my schedule will very slightly week to week, but I am generally available during weekdays and weekends. Your pet safety and comfort is my number one priority. I will follow each pets routine carefully, use secure leashes/harnesses on all walks, and prioritize safety in your home at all times. About: Hi! I’m Amanda, and I’ve been caring for animals most of my life—from chickens and horses to gerbils and rabbits. After moving away from “farm” life, I began fostering dogs while they waited for their forever homes (including a Great Dane!). Now I’m happily settled with a senior chihuahua rescue of my own. I’m located in the Beach Haven area near Mayo Clinic and am happy to travel within the Jacksonville area to provide great care for your pups. I work as an EMT, so I’m calm under pressure, highly attentive, and confident administering medications and noticing changes in behavior. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I bring patience, reliability, and lots of love to every visit. I’ll care for your pup just like you would, so you can relax knowing they’re in great hands. Use promo code AMANDN11 to get $20 off your first booking after you sign up! I work a shift-based schedule, so I usually have extra daytime availability for walks and drop-ins. On days I’m not working, most of the time my availability is wide open! I like to stick closely to each pet’s routine so they feel safe and comfy 😊 During drop-ins, I handle potty breaks, water, meals or medications if needed, and of course lots of attention. I treat your home with care, double-check doors and gates, and always make sure your pet is happy before I leave.
Jacksonville Beach dog parents share their Rover experiences
Addie truly is exceptional! She’s always dependable, professional, caring, and so good with my dogs. Today, one of the dogs had an accident in the house before her arrival time, and Addie graciously cleaned it up for me. She always goes above and beyond! Absolutely recommend her!!

Kayla is amazing!! I have booked with her twice and she is very friendly and communicative. I enjoy her updates and visit pictures she sends. My two dogs look so happy after her visit and are always grateful for an after walk treat. Will definitely be booking with her again, thanks Kayla :)

Caitie was awesome! She took very good care of my older pup while my family was out of state! She provided detailed updates and reached out if she had any questions. She communicated with me very well even with last minute changes to my schedule. I plan to use her for future trips if she’s available!

Mackenna is an exceptionally thorough, patient, and professional caregiver. She is reliable, experienced, and possesses excellent communication skills. Mackenna has taken wonderful care of both of my dogs—Indy, a female Doberman, and Oakley, a male Boxer. Both are high-energy and require plenty of exercise, attention, and patience, all of which Mackenna provides with genuine care and enthusiasm. Indy, in particular, is a rescue and tends to be nervous around new people. Mackenna has been incredibly understanding and gentle in helping her feel safe and comfortable. Her ability to build trust and connect with animals is truly impressive. I have complete peace of mind knowing my dogs are in her capable and compassionate hands. I highly recommend Mackenna to anyone looking for a responsible and caring pet professional.
