My pitbull, Jug, has some serious separation anxiety issues; issues we weren't fully aware of either, since this was his first time being watched by someone outside the family. My most favorite thing in the world is seeing a dog's ears and tongue flapping in the wind wide-eyed with its hind legs kicking at his shoulders in high speed sprinting down the sidewalk or through a grassy field. When I drop in, my focus is on the dog's need for attention and care as well as ensuring the place is still hygienic. When I walk, my focus is on the dog's need to release energy (among other things) and stay cool as well as keeping the environment evidence-free. When I house sit, my focus is on command pop-quizzes and finding a spot that's the most cuddle-friendly.
