About: Hello everyone, my name is Alexandria and I love all animals, particularly dogs. I have grown up with dogs and cats practically my entire life, raising most of them since they were puppies. I currently have two dogs of my own — Pepper, my 10-year-old Dachshund mix, and Carson, my 8-year-old French Bulldog. Both of my dogs are on the smaller side, so my preference is to watch smaller dogs, as they tend to be the best fit for our home dynamic. I joined Rover to earn additional income, as well as to provide a companion for my dogs to hang out and socialize with. My schedule is pretty flexible, which means I can give your fur baby plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I am looking forward to meeting your little fur baby and providing them with a safe, loving, and fun environment while you’re away! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I work part time, which gives me a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the dogs in my care. Because my hours are not rigid, I am able to adapt to just about any routine — whether your dog needs early morning walks, midday check-ins, or a specific feeding schedule, I can make it work. Whatever your dog’s routine looks like at home, just let me know and I will do my best to match it as closely as possible. And if for any reason I am unable to accommodate something specific, I will always be upfront and let you know before booking so there are no surprises. Your dog’s comfort and consistency are always my priority. When caring for pets, whether in my home or yours, my top priority is making sure your dog feels as comfortable and at ease as possible. I believe in sticking to your dog’s established routine, because familiarity goes a long way in keeping them calm and happy while you’re away. I provide walks in the morning, midday, and in the evening to make sure your pup stays active and gets plenty of fresh air. Feeding is always done according to your dog’s schedule and dietary instructions — I will follow whatever routine you have at home so there are no disruptions to what your dog is used to. I also take the time to understand the individual needs of each dog in my care. Every dog is different, and I want to make sure I’m attentive to their personality, comfort level, and any special requirements they may have. About: I watch Cesar Milan (Dog Whisperer) & Victoria Stilwell (It's Me or The Dog) regularly, which has provided with me insight for caring for my family's pets (Shiba Inu, shih-tzu), my coworkers' pets (lab mixes, terrier mix), and now my own dachsund-pitbull I work in the entertainment industry, so I have stretches of time between gigs to focus 100% on beloved animals. With enough heads up, I can possibly make any time work. I love to reward the good behavior I notice, and have a calm demeanor to handle any behavior of which I disapprove. I'm great at reinforcing good habits and discouraging bad habits. I have lots of energy to play and engage with energetic dogs. I love to see dogs happy! My most favorite thing in the world is seeing a dog's ears and tongue flapping in the wind wide-eyed with its hind legs kicking at his shoulders in high speed sprinting down the sidewalk or through a grassy field. When I drop in, my focus is on the dog's need for attention and care as well as ensuring the place is still hygienic. When I walk, my focus is on the dog's need to release energy (among other things) and stay cool as well as keeping the environment evidence-free. When I house sit, my focus is on command pop-quizzes and finding a spot that's the most cuddle-friendly.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid. I have experience with dogs from puppies to seniors . While your fur baby is in my care I’ll make sure to communicate and send pictures so that you can always know how your baby is doing. Right now I’m working part time so I’ll have more time on my schedule to do more walks. I set my own schedule so if your dog needs to be walked more than once I can accommodate that need. I’m always making sure that their collars, leash , and harnesses are secure before stepping out . I make sure to always have water on hand for those times they may become thirsty. I send photos while out as well while in my care. I also make sure to have all contact information and preferred vets on hand in case of an emergency .

“Kira was EXCEPTIONAL and EXCEEDED my expectations in every way. She obviously loves animals and my four dogs absolutely loved her. They all vied for her attention and her positive energy satisfied their demands. She is more than just a dog "sitter." She engages and "plays" with the dogs and they love it. I was very detailed in my requests regarding their care and she was eager to know what I wanted and met their needs beautifully. I had to be gone for four days to visit a very sick friend going through a bone marrow transplant and it was such a blessing to know my dogs were in such trusting, professional, and capable hands. Kira also took great care of my parrot, Buddy. Kira keeps a smile on her face and is very kind and sweet. She communicated with me while I was away and sent pictures of my dogs enjoying themselves. I returned to a home that was as clean as I left it, with a freshly made bed. I will use Kira and only Kira, if she is available. I selfishly and with hesitation HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kira for anyone looking for a dogsitter, because I want to keep her schedule open for when I need her. :) She is definitely a 10/10.”
