“My little guy does not warm up quickly but Morgan was great with him! She sent lots of pictures and videos for the week I was gone and I felt like he was well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend Morgan!”

“Usually when I have to board my pets, I come back and they are sullen and wont ea. This time, they were happy, and resumed normal behavior as if I hadn’t left them. Thank you for making them feel better. I would like to continue using this gentleman when I have to travel.”

“Savannah is an absolute gem! She recently took care of our 3 pups and our home while we spent a week at the beach, and she went above and beyond! She made sure we were updated on how the pups were doing and actively looked for ways to help us around our home to make our return so much easier. Our pups were so happy when we came home, we could tell they received so much TLC. Highly recommend!”

“Another great stay with Jessica! Everyone was happy and she has officially won over one of the cats which is always hard for a sitter today. Looking forward to using her again”

“Danielle was awesome with my furry family!!! She cared and loved them, maintained their routine, and kept the house very tidy! I also received pictures and updates - communication was great! We can't wait for her to come sit again and highly recommend!”

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, a kind of unconditional love and acceptance that feels safe and comforting. That passion shaped my approach to pet care. I worked towards a career that focuses on caring for wildlife and animals as a whole. My experience includes volunteering at shelters and humane societies, where I walked, socialized, and bathed dogs, as well as cared for puppies and their mothers. I A unique part of my background includes working as a “goat whisperer” at a goat yoga farm, giving me experience with a variety of animals. So not only can I wrap your pup in loving energy, but I can take care of your Kid too! As a recent college graduate, I have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends, which allows me to be fully available for your pet’s needs. My schedule is flexible, so I can easily adapt to whatever routine works best for you and your pet. I provide a safe and comfortable environment for pets, whether in my home or yours. In my household, I care for an 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, which has given me experience with high-energy, anxious, and senior dogs. I tailor each pet’s care to their specific needs, ensuring their time spent is worthwhile.
“As much as I hate leaving our pup, I can always do it with confidence because I know she is in such good hands with Joanna. We always get updates and photos while we are gone and she leaves the house in such good shape. We trust her immensely.”

“Mia was amazing. Her communication was so consistent that I always knew what was going on with our pup and she even sent pictures. It was so nice k owing she was taken care of by a caring person!”

“Marquesha was a great house sitter. She was punctual and dependable. She took care of two dogs and cats. She followed all of our directions and left our house in top shape!”

About: I’ve had a dog my whole life from babies to full grown adults! We play, go on walks and hikes. Also always room for cuddles! I work from home most of the time, unless I am out on an appointment. My dog is usually roaming free and when I’m away, he is in the kennel. I live in an apartment home that has a dog park and a park less than two minutes away from me for a bigger and better environment to play.
“Zoe took excellent care of our pets and home while we were out of town recently. Her communication before and during the visit was great (she sent lots of pics!) and the house was spotless when we returned. Zoe was also comfortable administering daily meds for one of the cats. We have already booked another stay!”

About: Hi my name is JeVon. I am currently a student at GSU perusing a degree in biology, I love animals because they’re always there for us when we need it most. For “man’s best friend,” they deserve the best care. I own a dog myself that I’ve had for years and I treat him with love and care. Interacting with any animal makes me happy but Dogs are my favorite animals and I will be joining my “STEP” program at my school where we train dogs for blind people.Regardless of whether they have fur or scales I treat my pets with care and other’s Family pets with the same emotional care. I’ve been surrounded by pets most of my life and would love to take care of yours. I currently have two dogs that I take to park for exercise almost everyday. Pet care for me is a daily consistent routine because of this very reason. I am also part of a dog trading program here at my school. I am available anytime through the week whenever you need me. When it come to taking care of your pets in your home I make it a priority of following the guidelines you have set for me. I do like to play and give rubs to every pet that I sit because I know the important of exercise for pets. If it comes to me boarding your pets I have two friendly dogs that get along with other animals and are very playful and if needed I can cage them as well.
“Jill was absolutely fantastic with both my dog and my cat! Since they are both elderly, they require a bit of extra grace and attention, and Jill showed incredible patience with my dog, who really needed it. I felt completely comfortable with her coming in and out of our home, and her communication was exactly what we needed to feel at ease while away. It is clear she truly cares about the animals she watches. Jill is definitely a five-star sitter, and I can’t recommend her enough!”
“Absolutely and completely satisfied with the love shown to my puppy by this sitter/family. Would definitely recommend! She sent pictures and videos and kept me fully informed. Eliscia will definitely be my first contact in the future.”

“Cristal and Edgar were so great. We were only able to do a meet and greet two days before service began, but they were ready and willing to help my nervous doggie feel loved and cared for. They also watched out for our two bunnies while we were away. They sent pics and provided updates frequently. I won’t hesitate to hire them again.”

“Ashley was fantastic—super communicative, sent tons of great pics, and our pets instantly felt comfortable around her (even our shy cat came out right away). The dog got plenty of walks, play time, and snuggles. She kept us updated, brought in our trash bins without being asked (thanks!), and somehow left the place looking better than we did. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely caring. Highly recommend.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arbor Ridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arbor Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arbor Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
